Man, MAN. Everytime I watch your reactions I respect you more and more, brother. Growing up in the projects, we didn't have much, but what we did have was an old record player and records like this one. I spent so many nights as a kid listening to this kind of music through big ass headphones. That was home. When I came back from Afghanistan, shook and lost, going back to listening to music, and feeling it the way you do, man...I was home again. Having seen a ton of your videos I know sometimes you struggle too. Music is the way to feel again. Thanks for sharing, sincerely.
Oh now you've gone and done it! lol. I won a talent show in college singing this tune! I got thru to the 'Finals" singing "Open Arms" - Journey. And then broke this out for my final and WON! LOL - So..... wow. I hadn't thought about that for a very long time. Thank you doll! ♥
Juice Newton was an amazing singer! She was one of the first artists that I remember as a kid paying attention being played on both country and pop radio stations.
❤️❤️❤️ James, you’re my favorite reaction channel! Juice Newton was a staple in every home in the 70s and 80s! I’d like you to take my advice... Watch this and prepare to fall in love: Juice Newton - The Sweetest Thing
Such a nice song, this brought back many memories not so good but this song helped me go through , the funny thing is I did not understand what she was singing then but I felt it in my heart. Thanks James.
Wow, man. You just took me back with this one. I haven't even thought about this song in such a long time. Thanks for reminding me how good Juice Newton was. You're too young to remember but she always reminded me of Bailey from WKRP in Cincinnati. Darn near twins.
You may have heard of Shaggy's song, "Angel," which borrowed heavily from this song. The 1968 cover by Merrilee Rush was a No. 7 pop hit, 13 years before Juice Newton's 1981 country-tinged cover went to No. 4 on the pop chart.
This was the song that played over the opening titles of "Deadpool". Even though it was played for laughs, hearing this song underscore all of the slow-motion violence in the scene, I genuinely love the song and appreciated that it was used.
You are reacting to some amazing songs! Rock, country, pop.... whatever! Music is the international language, and I love the fact that you're as diverse as I am. :)
Thank you for reacting to all the songs of my era and generation, it's so good to see someone who's never heard these amazing songs and appreciates them!
Now that's a professional singer. One of the best songs of 1981. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend Audrey Landers "Manuel Goodbye" (1984), yes the actress from "Dallas" was an incredible singer.
One of my all time favorites........... Thank you for playing this. I subbed a few days ago when you did Journey with Steve Perry. I love them!!!!! If you haven't done Mother, Father by Journey in Houston check it out. The notes he hits at the end are amazing............ :-)
Great review again, another great old school tune!! Was thinking about you while discussing classic rock with a friend in Holland... You might want to check out Styx (slow love songs: Babe & Lady) diverse range of songs!!! Also, Cheap Trick had a few good hits... 💜👍👍
The sad to think a lot of people don't realize how beautiful songs was back in the day not just the seventies I'm talkin back in the thirties also it was amazing im saying music today aint good cuz we do have good muisic to today
This was quite a big hit here in Oz when I was a kid and I loved it, but I love two of her other ones even more - Queen of Hearts and Love's Been a Little Bit Hard on Me.
It's about a one night stand. She knew it wasn't going anywhere but wanted the company and didn't stop herself. She is dealing with her injured feelings the next morning when the guy leaves.
This song was originally recorded by Merrilee Rush in 1968. Juice Newton did a nice job covering it but if you grew up with the original like I did it can't compare. Here's the original: ruclips.net/video/24rYz9QAvdQ/видео.html.
Still want you to watch ...... Dream Academy “life in a Northern Town “. And Mike & the Mechanics “the living years” 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😊. Oh and another amazing one you’ll like... Phil Collins “Take me Home” 😊🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
always loved this song. you seem to feel the music through your re-actions which is cool. you want someone to tug at your heartstrings, check out The Story by Brandi Carlile
Funny that tons of young people only know this song from the opening credits for Deadpool. I saw some Kansas in your feed but not their best. You need to do "Dust in the Wind" from Kansas.
She says no strings if my love can't find your heart. She says no need to take me home I'm old enough to face the dawn. She's telling him to take her to his house. It's so completely clear if you really listen to the words. She is smitten though so it's sad
For some reason this classic reminds me of a badass and underrated 80's love song "Do me right" by Maria Vidal, the title is pretty self explanatory lol, maybe check it out, and also "Black Velvet" by Alannah Myles, not sure if you've reacted to that one already, but just in case :)
Juice was kind of like a country/pop crossover artist in the 80s. Check out some Dolly parton, she did the original version of I Will Always Love You, not Whitney.
I did like the earlier Mary Lee Rush version better, but she did this well. Rush's version was earthier and a bit more lonesome. Newton's version is a sweeter and more innocent.

It’s about her wanting affection in the morning after a one night stand. She’s emotionally attached & he’s not.
Brandy been there done that lol!!!!

You are reacting to some amazing songs! Rock, country, pop.... whatever! Music is the international language, and I love the fact that you're as diverse as I am. :)
Big hit in the sixties with Merrilee Rush. Nice cover too.
Try “The Sweetest Thing” also by Juice Newton. I always swore if I got married again I’d play that song : )
Hi. I really enjoy your reactions. Thank you for trying all sorts of music. Could you react to "Homeward Bound" by Simon and Garfunkel?
I first heard this song in the late 60's on my way to camp. It is still a favorite of mine!
I love that deadpool brought this song back
She's singing for the one night stand she just had , Thinking he will be just like the rest ,,Still praying he will want more ....Beautiful song
Thank you for reacting to all the songs of my era and generation, it's so good to see someone who's never heard these amazing songs and appreciates them!

You’re right about passion -excellent observation. They expressed their feelings and didn’t care what the reaction might be.
One of my all time favorites........... Thank you for playing this. I subbed a few days ago when you did Journey with Steve Perry. I love them!!!!! If you haven't done Mother, Father by Journey in Houston check it out. The notes he hits at the end are amazing............ :-)
Love this song. JB, you're such a precious soul. 💕
My mom loved this song so much and played it over and over on our record player. My fav from her is Queen of Hearts

Yes, an excellent song and a great job of singing by Juice Newton.
Queen of Hearts!! PLEEEEASE?! 😊
The Sweetest Thing!
I've loved her music for a very long time. Sh'e got one of the most under-rated voices I believe.
one of my old navy lines when I was single. "You're an angel"

You may have heard this song during the opening credits on Deadpool. 👍 Please have a listen to Arctic Monkeys - Do I wanna know.
Great review again, another great old school tune!! Was thinking about you while discussing classic rock with a friend in Holland... You might want to check out Styx (slow love songs: Babe & Lady) diverse range of songs!!! Also, Cheap Trick had a few good hits... 💜👍👍
I was judging your reaction at the second verse to see if the penny dropped and you realised it was actually a song about a one night stand 😄
The sad to think a lot of people don't realize how beautiful songs was back in the day not just the seventies I'm talkin back in the thirties also it was amazing im saying music today aint good cuz we do have good muisic to today
JB you’re the man
This was quite a big hit here in Oz when I was a kid and I loved it, but I love two of her other ones even more - Queen of Hearts and Love's Been a Little Bit Hard on Me.

It's about a one night stand. She knew it wasn't going anywhere but wanted the company and didn't stop herself. She is dealing with her injured feelings the next morning when the guy leaves.

Sounds like your cold is all better.
The lady can sing.

Great vocals and catchy beat.
One night stand song
The original was done by Merilee Rush w/the Turnabouts of Seattle.

You've got to hear the 1968 version by Merrilee Rush.
Have you heard the Moody Blues, knights in white satin?
This is a great cover!
always loved this song. you seem to feel the music through your re-actions which is cool.
you want someone to tug at your heartstrings, check out The Story by Brandi Carlile

Spooky, son of a preacher man, I only want to be with you. All by Dusty Springfield ❤️❤️❤️
For some reason this classic reminds me of a badass and underrated 80's love song "Do me right" by Maria Vidal, the title is pretty self explanatory lol, maybe check it out, and also "Black Velvet" by Alannah Myles, not sure if you've reacted to that one already, but just in case :)
To me, this sounds like a before-the-one-night-stand covo. She's saying she won't be blinded by the light, I won't beg you to stay, etc.
React to Queen of Hearts by Juice Newton.
And Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me.
It is a one night stand song. Only one night and that's it.
Love song: Billy Joel -- "Until The Night" from his blockbuster "52nd Street" album. Thank me later.
ALRIGHT!!!!! YAS!!!!
Check out "The Sweetest Thing" by Juice.
Yaaaaaasssssss🥰
Juice was kind of like a country/pop crossover artist in the 80s. Check out some Dolly parton, she did the original version of I Will Always Love You, not Whitney.
Hey, speaking of Olivia Newton John, try listening to listening to Soul Kiss. Not a very well known song, but really sensual...
Check out Dusty Springfield's version its worth hearing.
Break it to me gently by Brenda Lee ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I highly recommend Lorraine Ellison - Stay With Me. Powerful and beautiful and sad.
There were like 20 different artists that covered this song.
This is a cover of Merillee Rush - 1968?
search for PP Arnold's version from the 1960's
💜🦄 love your channel xoxoxo please listen to Peace of Mind by Boston xoxoxo
PHIL COLLINS "AGAINST ALL ODDS"
YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!
TRUST ME 😉
Please listen to "Rooms on Fire" by Stevie Nicks 🎩 🌙🎤 🎵
Ooops, just noticed it wasnt Olivia in the video, still try it though...
I did like the earlier Mary Lee Rush version better, but she did this well. Rush's version was earthier and a bit more lonesome. Newton's version is a sweeter and more innocent.
