Finding Chaga On A Yellow Birch, Changing The Oil On The Skidder And Walk Around -- Logging Misc

I find some chaga growing in the wild (where else would it grow??) and harvest it. I walk around the 640 and talk about it. Also change engine oil on skidder.

I’ve got ice chains like your front and they wear crooked laying over. I’m going to cut some chains up one of these days and make the U grips so they stand up.

Thanks. The Timberjack you see in the background isn’t mine. Me and a friend are cutting the lot together. The rest of the equipment is mine but not the timberjack. You are right it is a nice skidder. He bought it brand new in 1998.

You cut that entire spread of land?
And, are you cutting for a forester? I see blue paint?

We are cutting about 220 acres in this section. we cut a smaller section of the same lot last summer. A couple of other crews have cut other sections. We are working for a forestry company and they want us to cut all the Ash because they think the borer will kill it. They only marked some of the job.
