@@somacruz7759 I could swear there was a bonus boss somewhere in Circle of The Moon called the Devil, and given how there's both the realms of Chaos and The Abyss in Castlevania, I just assumed that Nathan scales to the irl Devil and as such should be almost immune to Galeem and Dharkon's attacks.

I'm SO happy they remembered CotM; The game that introduced me to such a legendary IP.
Circle of the Moon is so much fun and my personal favorite Castlevania game next to Aria of Sorrow, but it sucks that it’s non-canon tho
@@rocksaltinyt Yeah it occurs in such an interesting spot in the timeline. I remember when order of ecclisa was coming out and I found out that Nathan should still be alive and I was excited to at the thought Nathan could show up
It's how I found out CoTM wasn't canon. Think it was the first time I experienced fan rage
Circle of the Moon was my introduction to the series, and I love it. Sure, IGA wasn't involved and it was officially removed from the series timeline, and the palette was clearly not brightened up to account for the original GBA's lack of lighting, and it isn't as technically impressive as its successors... But I still believe it is a great game. It is Metroidvania with Classicvania difficulty, and extremely impressive to have such a massive adventure for a launch title! Out of the GBA Trilogy, I come back to this one the most. The darker graphics were a pain on the original GBA screen, but when played on an SP or especially the back-lit DS they look great while games later purposefully brightened to account for the GBA screen look off. I beat it as all 5 character classes, though not all at once. It was nice to be able to revisit it and play the game in an entirely different style four more times, with the final definitely being the most difficult for me, as the buff to subweapon damage in shooter mode isn't enough to offset the lower strength, so Fighter's subweapons were always way stronger.
Shoutouts to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for having options at least to change the color saturation to account for the Gameboy Player.

The buildup and then the guitar riff replaying the melody is so freakin’ rad.
Gives me goosebumps and spontaneously makes me rock out on air guitar.
Awake is one of the best Castlevania remixes and songs that gives me hype in combat.

Back in the 2000's, seing the GBA in action and having Circle of the Moon as the first game... it was an amazing experience.
The Game Boy Advance Logo, the voices in the game, the Soundtrack, the graphics, mechanics... such a nostalgic hit just by listening to this excellent song.
Cotm was my first Castlevania it was a great first starting game 2 got me hooked on the series itself

Nathan Graves is my favorite vampire hunter. I feel as if he doesn’t get enough recognition.

Oh boy, Circle of the Moon... Somehow this game has been the biggest nightmare to play of all the post-NES ones I've tried. I'm not gonna give up entirely on it though, someday I'll make it through...
Circle of the Moon is definitely the second hardest metroidvania aside from Order of Ecclesia. More scattered saves, less available potions, grinding for cards can get pretty tough, but it's still an amazing game
