Nice video, thank you! Loved the part about how they “learned to extract the meaty flavor from wheat” it’s amazing to see how they described and isolated the “umami” glutamate compounds… also funny how many people won’t sprinkle MSG onto a steak, but wouldn’t shy away from a bouillon cube marinated one.
MSG is found in cheese, tomatoes mushroom and many other foods, there is nothing wrong with using it, it is not unhealthy like western media portrays it its the same as seasoning with salt just with more flavour it's literally what gives strong cheese its flavour lol@@FoodHow
MSG has really stirred up some strong opinions for potentially causing lot of issues for many people . There's quite a bit of pushback against its use in foods, isn't there? I can easily eliminate it till there is a good confirmation that it is healthy.
Yes, you can substitute bouillon granules for bouillon cubes. The general ratio is one bouillon cube equals one teaspoon of bouillon granules. So, if a recipe calls for one cube, you can use one teaspoon of granules instead. Adjust according to your taste if needed, as the sodium content can vary between brands. Make sure to dissolve the granules properly in the liquid before adding them to your dish
They are typically 50% salt. It's a cheat. They can double the size of a cube. The meat content could be greater. It doesn't have to be aesthetically pleasing meat if it's ground up, like in pet food. The poor economics apply to all dehydrated food. My favorite cube is Maggi Kostilja. Mixed with tomato flavor, it is the bomb. They seem to have highly customized products for local markets, and this product is only found in north-eastern Europe as far as I know. A regular "beef" cube is more bland. Lol, how you managed to spin salt as both a good and a bad thing in 8 and 12. I would need to drink a lot of salty water to drive way hunger.
boullion..makes it sound like it comes from a french kitchen..not some factory that mixes monosodium glutamate with a few other ingredients to make an irresistable broth..
I haven't used them for over 20 years since i was as student. I don't like their metallic taste and flavour and I can pick out a food that has it immediately . It is vile if you are not use to it which shows how....not good it is.
Ah, it seems you've uncovered the secret! Indeed. A late bloomer, you might say, but I've been making up for lost time ever since. Your keen observation is truly appreciated!
Thank you for your questions. In short, herbs are a widely distributed and widespread group of plants, excluding vegetables and other plants consumed for macro nutrients, with savory or aromatic properties that are used for flavoring and garnishing food, for medicinal purposes, or for fragrances.
600 million cubes per second? Come on. That's unrealistic. Try a million times less. 600 cubes per second, not 600 million
Yes, you are probably right, 600 million sounds unrealistic.

Very informative and fun
Glad you think so! Thank You.

This item is OP
I am sorry, what does OP stand for?
@@FoodHow It stands for "over-powered" aka it's very good and can be used in many situations
Ok, thank you.
Can I substitute granules for the cube? At what ratio?

What the actual fook are 'Erbs?!' The 'H' is NOT silent in the word herbs...It has a hard 'H' and is said with an H, not Erb...

Thanks guys. That was calmly and well said 😊🌎✨
Standard Americans usage is not to pronounce the "h" in "herbs." Look it up. Based on your word "fook," Gaggy, I gather that you're British. Haha!
I am not, but I'll take it. Thank You.
The h is silent, fool.
