So now the obvious is this, Jake E Lee needs an interview on here with Jason
The fact that the Osbourne's called Greg AGAIN to audition -- forgetting that he had been to Scotland to audition when Jake was in the band, is classic Osbourne antics.
Jake’s my favorite guitar player too.
Badlands is without a doubt the #1 most underrated, under appreciated band of the era. They had the talent. They had the songs. They could deliver live. It's disgusting that they didn't make it. Voodoo Highway is an absolute masterpiece!
The three albums are five starts. This band was fifteen years too late - they would have been freaking big.
I love Badlands, I just listened to Voodoo Highway last week. It's still a great album. Ray was a great singer but he had problems. Badlands was doomed due to Ray's long term health issues. His prima donna act just made it end a couple years sooner than it otherwise would have.
Definitely mate, plus Blue Murder were of the same time that never got their due credit but that album is also phenomenal. Jake and John Sykes are two of my all-time influences 🎸
First one is better.
Rob Halford in your living room is when you know you've made something of yourself. Chaisson has done a lot of good work across his career. Can't wait to hear Atomic Kings. Great interview!
I have heard that Richie Kotzen is a member of the Ozzy Survivors also. He rehearsed with Geezer and Dean Castornova for a month in NYC, went home for a family deal for the weekend, came back to NYC and the band was gone. Sharon had found out he was in Posion and said she wasnt having one of them in Ozzy's band.
I still like the Die Happy records he played on.
great interview w greg, get jake now next quest for the interview
Cool story about auditioning in Inverness!
GREG IS THE BILLY COX OF METAL
Great Screaming For Vengeance story! Who else can EVER tell that event?!?
Very cool interview....I went to high school with Todd Chaisson in the 80s , when Kenny Chaisson was in Keel. A VERY talented family !
Love Badlands! Love Greg! Kings Of Dust was great Looking forward to Atomic Kings!
Really enjoyed the interview. I thought Greg was perfect for Badlands and was delighted when he joined RDC. Great bassist, so glad to hear he's clear of the cancer. By the way I can pronounce his name properly and I'm from South Wales. All the very best Greg.
Jason I thought it was funny when you said you don't think Jake would be up for a show like this.I advise you to check out Tone talk with Jake E Lee on YT , it's a similar type show centred on guitar. It went for over 3 hours and they were getting plastered while doing the show
This was great interview. Thank you. Badland's first is one of the best albums ever. Nice looking dog...
Chaisson is a bad mutha, had the pleasure of meeting his friend at an Autozone, where I was working with Badlands on my Bluetooth and his friend freaked out and called Chaisson and told him some Chicano in Helotes, Texas, was jammin to Badlands in 2017. Awesome loved this band and will definitely get his new stuff. MrGreen appreciate ur show it fricken rocks my friend
Great interview. Greg is a great player. Badlands is one of the best bands of their time
Once again Mr. Green shows he is the best interviewer around. A shame though you didn't ask him about his time in Legs Diamond!
Another awesome interview.
thanks for the great interview. i love gregs attitude. no bullshit. all the best to him, and looking forward to new music from him. cheers!
Greg is a rockers rocker, thanks for this awesome interview
Same old story with Ozzy. The thing was, I don't think anyone in my school cared if Ozzy's band members had "the look." It wasn't like Ozzy was playing Poison music where look was important.
I remember when "Winter's Call" debuted on 'M.t.v.' // It was the equivalent of first seeing "Welcome to the Jungle" premiere. (I'd predicted both bands would be huge. // And I'd loved Jake's stuff with Ozzy.)
On the radio (likely "101.5 - KGB FM") - I'd record 'Bad-lands' in Boston (1989):
01 -"Seasons"
02 - [This-one - I don't have listed.]
03 - "Rumblin' Train"
04 - "Dreams In the Dark"
05 - "Winter's Call"
06 - "Purple Haze"
07 - Jake's solo
08 - "High Wire"
Thank you - Greg & Jason!

You have some really great interviews with some really cool people.
Another great interview. And even some new insights on stories told a thousand times. I like that you let people talk. No rude interruptions to prove that you already know it all (or better). Now get Jake on the show!
Great info! Did ALL Greg's connections lead to Racer X doing Heart of a Lion?!? Jake is my favorite Ozzy guitarist too. And Kenny bangs on the intro to Keel's Right to Rock. Thanks for sharing!
Great interview!
Greg Chaisson - what a LOVELY guy...
Great interview. So much interesting information. 🤘
Great interview 🤘🏻. Badlands was awesome !
Funny, I still have a Surgical Steel T shirt from back in the day 👍🏻
Jason, Another stellar interview. Greg has some great stories and you really know how to get the best out of your guests. Bravo
Badlands... Die Happy... Red Sea... His solo album, "It's About Time"... Greg is awesome! Great interview and thanks for having him on, Jason! -Kent
Didn't like his singing on his IAT album but his bass playing is awesome.
You forgot "Blindside Blues Band"
Greg Chaisson is a cool guy and he's played with almost everyone.
No. Not really. You're thinky Rudy Sarzo. Greg is a cool cat though.
@@am3986 I don't know, he was in Steeler which is awesome (Kurt Lee was no slouch on guitar), and jammed with tons of folks, and then of course Badlands. I just always liked his style and way he played. Great interview though even if he didn't play with everyone like Rudy :)
Very informative interview, this is worth a lot of views!
Excellent and insightful interview. Greg is a beast of bass player - and following this interview, I had to check out some back catalogue material that I own) and the Dusk recording that I was not aware of. Have folks here listened to these Dusk recordings? They were all done in one -ake with some slight alterations years later. The musicianship is superb - the sound is raw and unapologetic. I was fortunate to see Jake E Lee a few years back with Red Dragon Cartel - was on top of his game - and managed to score a signature Jake E Lee pick at the show. Would love to have a Eric Singer interview to complete the original band retrospective. Have listened to this interview a couple times now! Great work Jason.
Greg’s bass playing on Voodoo Highway is perfect, melodic and grooving.
Wow, what an interview, good stuff!!!
As said already by many but always worth saying more - another top interview! Shout-out out to the Chaisson family and pup Chaney too who will be a beast in no time 😁 best wishes from Wales!
Great show! Thanks and greetings from Portugal! \m/
Badlands is a criminally underrated band!!!
Great interview
Excellent interview, really enjoyed it.
Great interview... Thankyou
Great interview. How about a vik fox interview..
yes the sun red in 1993 !!......great cd great band !!!!
great interview with excellent stories about Ozzy and Badlands. Loved seeing Greg and his family as well! Another great one Jason!!!
Wow Greg has some amazing stories great Jason keep us all with your great interviews 👍🏼☠️
Awesome interview. I remember after Badlands, Greg played with Pat Travers for awhile but I lost track of him after that. Definitely an underrated bass player IMHO.
excellent interview!
"At some point... Ah... Ray, ah, loses his, ah, battle with AIDS, ah, disease!" Jesus brother... I spend all day watching your stuff.
Wow great interviews like always Jason keep it up
Saw Badlands in a club in 1992. Positively deafening. I never thought Gillen was that impressive - all the ridiculous shrieking. Lee and this guy rocked.
Man, thanks for doing this I love Greg, both musically and personally.
Fantastic interview!
Greg was also in a band with Mike Onesko, the blindside blues band. That material is here on RUclips.
Sooo interesting thanks for posting this interview
Wow, such a great guy! Great interview Jason!
Greg is always great in interviews.
Thanks for sharing Jason! Liked Highwire from Badlands! Jason when you had Stephan pearcy on the show awhile back, did you ever ask Stephan off the record why he had illuminati imagery in his video Ten Miles Wide! Just curious buddy! Thanks for all your hard work Jason!
Love the shirt Jason :) !
Get Chip Znuff and Vito Bratta
Yes,sir. Badlan was a great band.i have the three cds.🤘
🏆
Awesome interview with a great bass player.
You might consider doing an interview with Rick Fox. I'm sure he's got some good stories on playing with Steeler & WASP
Paul O'Neil was a Slimeball
thank you so much for this video, great sit down, and if you think the first Badlands album is great, the second one is amazing, Jeff Martin is brilliant on drums, Eric was good but Eric played straight up rock style, Jeff's drumming is much more richer
Badlands' debut is the best hardrock album of the latter half of the 80s. No competition.
Great Interview. It is funny though, all the Badlands albums seem to be out of print and have been for a while. They really don’t stream either. Everyone always talks of this band and at least has the first album but still. This is 30 years ago and they really have a lot of interest. Why no available albums to remaster or purchase? Legal thing?
Badlands was a great band.
Jason should have asked about the fact that the first two albums are not available
Did he mention why kings of dust morphed into this new project?
Yeah they got rid of the last singer who was garbage
He's a Chief fan cool
so when are you gonna get Britney Spears on?
5 Demo_Unreleased songs recorded during the first lp.....all 5 songs are just as good as anything on that first lp .....never released ??...Let It Bleed....Shake Down....Get Ready....Soul Lives in The Heart.....In The Heat
Badlands should have been called Badazz
Phil Soussan did not write Shot in The Dark - he stole it from the Overland brothers
The other thing that comes to mind - what a slimepit the music industry was.
No offense to Greg, but was it necessary to interview him for over a hour and a half?
You’re not required to watch
Let me show you the door fruit loop....
How many Interviews you know of Greg Chaisson career???? The first I see in all over the years! I love his own style (and Attitude) playing the bass with Badlands (the only videos avalaibles I know to see him playing). *A very underrated Bass player :-(
I live in BILBAO (Basque country - Spain) -With any possiblility to see him playing Live-
Come on dude..... what´s your problem with this Interview????? (In a stressing world with a full no insteresting people on TV, this is a pacefull island of Real Talented Musicians, etc....). Yo can go to "waste your time with.... Kardashian´s life or some)
A lot of thanks for this entertain & respectfull Interview @Jason Green!
@@pabloqPercusion There are plenty of podcast interviews with him. I just think they're too long.
Why not? You're the wrong page, i think.
