i admire you for coming here and sharing this and raising awareness on how important a smear test is as it is a prevention !! im glad you were able to take care of what you and your body needed!! im glad that your smear test then came out clear, im so happy for you x
Thank you so so much! I understand it is really scary to have done but I hope by talking about it openly it makes just one person at least feel better and go!x
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. So glad everything is clear. If anyone happens to watch this BEFORE you get a Colposcopy, you can request they use a local anesthetic when collecting the samples. It helped me quite a bit amd made a huge difference in the pain I felt during the procedure.
I am going for LETTZ and this video helped. I actually found the solution they put on my cervix more painful than the biopsies they took. The solution stung!
It's sad how anesthesia is something that women have to request when men are given it automatically for testicular biopsies. So many women have had to suffer through uterine biopsies and colposcopies with no anesthesia or pain medication because the doctors didn't even inform them that it was an option!
Agree. I've got one coming up and I'm getting sedation. No way going through this without sedation. No way. Women have the right to pain relief too. Plus it's a really humiliating and degrading test for women. If I could get out of it I would. Seriously
Got this treatment coming up next week and this has definitely made me feel better about my appointment. Thank you for all the Information and a real true account of what to expect ❤
I was told that im probably going to have to have colposcopy..after hearing you story..i have to say im even more terrified..i dont deal with pain Well...thank u for telling your story
@@djarias28 I didn't feel a thing, thank goodness. The thought of the procedure is 10x worse than going through it. I did get positive margins unfortunately, but, I am hopeful.
@@alexandriahill6962 I have mine on Wednesday. Did you find the injection painful? That’s the bit I’m worried about the most. I found the biopsies really painful 😣
@@alexandriahill6962 I had the procedure 2 days ago and it was absolutely fine! I was shocked at how ok it was. No pain at all, didn’t feel the injections. It was much easier than the biopsies in my experience 😊
Thank you for sharing, this is so important for everyone to know and I appreciate women sharing this knowledge. I didnt know how common this is until I got my HPV positive and abnormal cell results. Being young and healthy I didn't expect this and i'm glad I found this out early on as it could have been worse.

I have letter with my smear test results :( "Low grade dyscaryosis with high risk HPV " . I will have colposcopy. We have half of the August and colposcopy will be on 24 of September. I think is long time :(. I am scared 😭
That is a bit of wait but there's usually a slight wait with things like this unfortunately! Try remind yourself that the colposcopy will is for your health in the long run which will help doctors check you and keep you healthy! Bring water, a sugary drink and some chocolate with you for after and make sure you rest that day!!

Put your immune system in place to prevent this condition from reapering in a few years and get the vaccine done, your man too as they rarely show symptos but are the carriers of the virus. Also, you did not mention anything on how the anesthesic was applied. I looked through your videos, do you have an update about latest test?
Not everyone can put their immune system in place to beat this. I couldn't due to an undiagnosed autoimmune disease. Seemingly healthy, runner, eat Mediterranean diet, ect. Paps don't test for HPV unless the cells come back abnormal! So ask for HPV testing as well as pap bc you can have HPV with a normal pap smear!
Do you know what genotype of HPV you have?
