- NLTV team conducted an on-ground investigation regarding illegal extra charges on auto and two-wheeler taxi fares in Dimapur. Our findings revealed that some drivers are demanding fares exceeding the rates set by local unions, a practice captured on video.Residents expressed their frustration over these unlawful charges, noting that drivers are exploiting the current situation. They have called on the relevant unions to take immediate action against the offenders to restore fair pricing in the community.

I have been supporting two wheeler taxi and even paying extra out of happiness. Because they charged lesser than auto taxi. But these days they charge just like three wheelers auto.
Good job NLTV for covering this very important and current problem. The district administration and government remain completely ignorant (or indifferent) to common grass-root problems faced by citizens on a daily basis. Its sad! One wonders if they have any alternate plans or troubleshoot processes in place should things go awry.

Someone should also check the traffic police for taking advantage of the situation. Recently, two traffic police sat just near the nst station and looted the public by telling the it's one way. Generally, during the mormal days we drop people off to NST station and come back in the same road taking u turn towards fly over. So at this current situation if they amend any emergency rules of road they should ve kept on duty traffic police officer to advise and help the innocent public in showing the way(which i think they are doing now).However just two traffic police started looting all the innocent public. If someone has any ideas to dealt with such situation please acknowledge me. Someone should also check on this low feeder traffic police

That's why I'm always in favour of the meter box installation or use of an app. But that too, the adoption of that system is very thin like our blacktopping. The system is truly wrecked beyond repair.

Auto fares from Hongkong Market to Dhobinala is 100. From Railway Station to Super Market is 100. And from City tower to Bata Charali is also 100 which is double the fare.

In dimapur town trip is mean for just few meters only as Two wheeler taxi fare 40 town trip but they took 50 in normal days but today they charged me 70Rs for town trip... N whereas auto town trip 50 but they charged 70 to 100 + extra traffic 🚦 jam fare 20 to 30rs 😂
