Osoto-gari vs Osoto-otoshi vs Osoto-guruma

Osoto-gari is a Judo and Jiu-jitsu fan favorite. It also has great self-defense application. The throw has been the tool of some of Judo's greatest such as Yasuhiro Yamashita, Masahiko Kimura, and more recently, Teddy Riner.
However, other throws look very similar to Osoto-gari, but are in fact different in nature and name.

0:27 Osoto-gari = Major Outer Reap and involves a reaping action from the attacking leg. The foot of the Tori does not touch the mat until the completion of the throw.
0:54 Osoto-otoshi = Major Outer Drop resembles Tai-otoshi but as an attack to the opponents rear corner rather than front corner. Tori's foot makes contact with the mat and hand technique is used to throw the opponent to the ground.
1:27 Osoto-guruma = Major Outer Wheel resembles O-guruma but as an attack to to the opponent's rear rather than the front. Tori's attacking leg extends to reap both of uke's legs. Tori's hip must pass and make contact with Uke's hip for the best results.

All. But, Osoto-guruma has helped me win.

Honestly, Osoto-guruma is my personal preference. I feel that if I miss with it, I can usually still get Osoto-gari or Osoto-otoshi.
