Excuse me?! What?! 😱 I am so excited for the precut round banana leaves. I never knew they existed. This is a game changer. Thank you for sharing! Xoxo
Thank you for the helpful video. My neighbor gave me a batch and I’m not sure how to reheat once they have already been prepared. Can you help? Thank you so much.
No the rice will not stick to the foil since the coconut milk contains fat. The banana leaf gives it a nice aroma and taste vs using foil. You can certainly use foil if you want.
Wow water is hot and that’s a lot of water, sugar and coconut milk and still let it wait that long. I hope it’s not turn out to be too sticky. I don’t like it if it’s too sticky. I just like mine to be just a little softer than regular sticky rice. I don’t like it how some people make it this kind of dessert and it’s so gluten/ sticky🤣
Finally a recipe! My mom wont tell me and won't make it for me! Thank you so much!
Hope you enjoy and you’re welcome.

English name version always long. It is called lemper in my country. Usually filled with chicken or meat and the sticky rice cooked with coconut milk
That sounds yummy.

You can steam for for a few minutes depending on amount or microwave for 1-2 minutes.
Have you tried it with foil paper instead of banana leaf?? Will it stick to the foil paper when steamed?

Does this recipe make 25?
It depends how big or small you wrap. I made 40.
How many banana leaves(rounds) are in one package? I need to find them asap because that will make my life easier.
25 pieces for the package that I bought. These are definitely a game changer and I’ll probably never go back to the regular bananas leaves.
@@ZoeyandVFamwhich store in Sacramento sells these round banana leaves?
Super X, Pothong, and Vinai Wholesale. I’m sure others do as well but these are the ones I have bought from before.
I have found them at Phooj Ywg Lee's Market in olivehirst. Agree a game changer for cooking
I love these, I’m not so good with handling banana leaves, it always tears
The frozen ones are easier to work with especially if you lightly blanch it.

It’s not sticky since the rice is only soak for few hours. You can adjust the coconut milk and sugar to your liking.
