Growing up with a hearing impairment - Documentary: Deaf between two worlds - Anne Zander

For hearing people, the actress is a child prodigy because she has a perfect command of spoken language. "But it's not a compliment for me when people tell me how well I speak," says the 34-year-old. Years of hiding her deafness have left their mark.
Severely disabled? Anne's hearing ability is ten percent - she is therefore considered severely disabled. As a child of deaf parents, her path seems set: she will only be able to participate to a limited extent in society.
