I can guarantee you will enjoy anything Geoff Castellucci is involved in. He works hard to make everything he does into a great experience. He even wears black contacts to increase the effect. He has a problem putting them in his own eyes and needs help to put them in.
Spooky Season. 75% of this set is from Geoff and Kathy's home and yard decor. Geoff really likes Halloween. So he bought more stuff. The pumpkin stack, more single pumpkins, spooky trees, graveyard fencing, more headstones, and even the moon. They already had the ghost dog Zero. Awesome job. Arranged, Produced, Performed, Directed, and Edited by Geoff Castellucci. Concept and Creative Direction - Geoff and Kathy Castellucci. Other Halloween videos are The Headless Horseman, Monster Mash, and Ghost Riders In The Sky.
He's done Monster Mash and The Headless Horseman too. You just mentioned Hellfire, the guys have more Halloween videos. Ding Dong is pretty scary, there's Oogie Boogie's Song, Kidnap The Sandy Claws, and What's This from Nightmare Before Christmas. All of it is good!
Great reaction. I have watched this probably 50 times since it came out. I’ve always loved this song from the movie but Geoff just improved at 100%! Geoff spent 10 years at Universal Studios playing the Frankenstein monster in the Beetlejuice Rock ‘n’ Roll Graveyard Revue. His wife Kathy was the bride of Frankenstein for 12 years. So between that and appearing in a variety of roles at the theme parks, the theatrics are top notch. His posturing and the hand gestures in addition to those terrifying facial expressions (I hope AJ recovers 🤣) really make this a production. This is so much more than a music video. I *love* the little slump when he’s Mr. Unlucky😞 and when he pats his thigh to call Zero to him. Halloween is the favorite holiday of both VoicePlay and Geoff. Each year VoicePlay has put out in a spooky season release. They aren’t all specifically Halloween but they all have something sort of spooky about them. They previously covered four songs from Nightmare before Christmas; What’s This, Kidnap the Sandy Claws, This is Halloween and, of course, the famous Oogie Boogie song. This years Jack’s Lament by Geoff is my favorite, and it had stiff competition. Last year they did DingDong/Hide and Seek with Lauren Paley who made this song viral by singing it in her stairwell to scare her neighbors. They have also done Stevie Wonder’s Superstition, and I’ve Got Friends on the Other Side from Disney’s Princess and the Frog. There are two versions of Grim Grinning Ghosts from Disney’s haunted mansion. One while they were backstage between sets which is performed live. In the other they are the singing busts from the mansion. There is also a very old cover of Once Upon a Dream, I think done about the time the second Maleficent movie was released, that is haunting. Although not specifically Halloween last year they also did in the Hall of the Mountain King from the Peer Gynt suite. It’s a classical orchestral piece with no words. But they told a story anyway of a group of trolls surrounding a cauldron adding a new ingredient each time they wanted their voices to change. It’s pretty amazing. VoicePlay just released theirHellfire 🔥. The song is dramatic and haunting and creepy and beautiful. Geoff once again is playing a dual personality. It is from the Disney retelling of the hunchback of Notre Dame. Geoff once again is playing a dual personality. Geoff has done three spooky season releases beginning when he launched his solo channel. The first year he did Headless Horseman which was featured in a 1958 animated short by Disney. That was followed by Monster Nash, and last year he did Ghost Riders in the Sky.
So happy to see this! I knew you guys would react to this the moment I saw it released, it was too good not to! Geoff did a stellar job as Jack and absolutely mastered the "melodic speaking" the character does while singing his verses. And the makeup and special effects just took an already amazing performance to a whole new level of awesomeness. Very impressive! And yes, very creepy lol But elegantly so ;) Anyhoo, great job as always, guys! Peace!
Haha Voiceplay has done Oogie Boogie song too (Geoff is the main in that one too). He will knock your socks off. Plus oh my gosh I’m excited when you guys look at Hellfire. He will definitely invite you to hell with his silky voice then scare you with his thunder bass. Oh my gosh I can’t wait to see your reactions, You guys have been the best. Thank you for your videos.
I loved everything about Geoff’s cover of this. His black contacts are what make it “creepy “ I think. I was looking forward to you guys reacting! My fave parts are the head in his hand with his voice in the basement, the “Bonjour” his expression with the demon of light line and how much of his range he uses in this arrangement. Until now,his cover of “Blackbird” was my favourite for that. Because of the set and how into the character he is in this performance, this is now my favourite 😊Have a good weekend guys
VoicePlay also dropped Hellfire from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I think you guys will love that one too. They shouldn't be able to make such a dark song and make it into something that you just want to listen to over and over., but danged if they don't do it.
this reaction was so funny xD I love watchign you guys and this made me laugh so hard, especially AJ :p I'm going back through your videos still and it is always a hoot!
Yes, you are finally learning that he adds extra clips as he goes into the Patreon list... but he was indeed showing off that last little bit. He does some of that in the new Voiceplay one as well, Hellfire. He loves spooky season, and makes sure we have a really good one. I do not remember if you have watched last years Halloween video from VP either... In the Hall of the Mountain King, a classical ochestral piece, with no words... sung by an accapella group.
Hide & Seek ( Ding Dong ) is another great Halloween cover ( theatrical ) by Voice Play. Also In The Hall Of The Mountain King is amazing. The music is an incidental piece of orchestrated music, never any words to it. Voice Play are the craziest , fun loving & best at what they do kind of guys. You must never take your eyes off them. Their costumes & make-up are amazing.
I have felt a little lackluster with the college football scene today so I was excited to see this reaction pop up! I have a serious love for The Nightmare Before Christmas so I was looking very forward to this. It went straight to the top of my Halloween playlist! I've come to trust Geoff and VoicePlay when they cover things I love, so I wasn't exactly surprised at how good both were this year, but I'll never not be amazed, lol. Really fun reaction! Thanks, guys! ❤
I was so excited to see that you had posted this today! I hope we can expect a reaction to VP's Hellfire from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. They took it to another level. Great reaction and can't wait to see more!
Voiceplay did a brilliant version of Hide and Seek (Ding Dong!) featuring Lauren Paley, but if you wants some extra base then the Base Gang also did a version with her that is extra creepy
Voiceplay has done four pieces from Nightmare and then this one. I still don't want to see the movie. Go figure. Geoff wanted a hopeful ending but could not include it in the actual song. Hence, discovering falling snow in the outro. Can't wait for your reaction to Hellfire!!

I would, too. I cringe even thinking about trying to have something in there.
"Now he's just showing off." Yep, and we're here for it. :D
Geoff has a way of bringing all the emotions into the lyrics and just transforming the song to what it should be.

Geoff really is The Pumpkin King!
He's done Monster Mash and The Headless Horseman too.

Nice summary, Janet! Can't argue with anything you said! 😁 Love the reactions, guys!

Thanks for the Saturday morning bonus! This is incredible! As per usual, love your reactions.
Thank you, so much!

For Christmas, Geoff did "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" last year. It's more than worth a listen. Great jobs guys.
It's on our list for our christmas reacts!
Geoff always gives us fans what we want with his super low bass notes & we never know when it's coming. We always look forward to it.

If you haven’t seen his group VoicePlay’s version of Oogie Boogie Man, you owe yourselves that pleasure as a follow up!
Enjoyed your reactions. This production of Geoff's was so impressive on so many levels!
We totally agree!
yes that is his wife Kathy she is voiceplay’s production manager ❤🏴
this reaction was so funny xD I love watchign you guys and this made me laugh so hard, especially AJ :p I'm going back through your videos still and it is always a hoot!
Great Reaction guys. I enjoyed seeing Ogre jump every time.
Glad you enjoyed it

Yes, that is him doing the background vocals as well. You were right.
Loved your reactions. Thanks
Thank you so much!!
Awesome reaction guys to this absolutely beautiful song and video. Geoff did an amazing job.

Loved it.
Yes Geoff’s voice is just as low whether his head is attached or not. You can hwar his head in The Headless Horseman and in Golden Hour (VP)❤❤❤
Geoff Castellucci, King of the Soliloquy, spoken or sung.
Check out the voiceplay covers of the nightmare before Xmas songs
Some are coming around halloween and around christmas!
😊😊
Butcher when you watch the movie listen to see if you can find the character that the Late Paul Reubans voice acts for.
Voiceplay did a brilliant version of Hide and Seek (Ding Dong!) featuring Lauren Paley, but if you wants some extra base then the Base Gang also did a version with her that is extra creepy
I finally saw the movie this week, though it's not my thing, and honestly the songs felt empty after hearing what Geoff and VoicePlay do with them.
You and Ogre, both. He'd never seen it either. Seemed rather hollow in comparison to Geoff.
Voiceplay has done four pieces from Nightmare and then this one. I still don't want to see the movie. Go figure. Geoff wanted a hopeful ending but could not include it in the actual song. Hence, discovering falling snow in the outro.
Can't wait for your reaction to Hellfire!!
