If I remember correctly kevin Parker said he’s had this song for a while but never released it in a tame impala album because it didn’t fit the vibe of his albums
Kevin Parker wrote the song, he wrote it over a year ago with a side project called Kevin Spacey. He said he was writing a lot of disco type songs and wanted to get them out somehow, but knew he'd get sick of them if he used them for Tame Impala. His way of doing this was getting a couple of guys together and teaching them the songs. They performed under a different name everytime they played. It's a collaboration of an initial song idea from Kevin, polished, recorded and produced by Mark and Kevin together. Either way it's one badass song.
So many hipsters thinking that Ronson should be discredited. how about you educate yourselves and learn that a song is more then just vocals. listening to this song, and uptown funk with headphones is a real treat. Ronsons musical knowhow combined with Kevin Parker is just beautiful.
bree torious That author was Kevin... It's a collaboration. Mark Ronson didn't chain him up and make him preform for him. They got together and made a song together. Producers like Mark sometimes like to have a bit of fun with the music they make. His upcoming album is exactly what Daft Punk did with RAM. just doing a bunch of collabs with artists you like, to a music genre you enjoy. Kevin is fine and well bree. don't you worry.
