    Look here I’m not in the 7 day challenge YET, but my hair kept being so frizzy and dry after oiling my scalp and doing the LCO method cause team natural said that’s what low porosity should do. I was finger detangling, and more and I was getting nowhere. I decided to detox my scalp, clarify, condition and blow out my hair with a leave in and put it up in two braids and comb and brush my hair every two days, I’m in day 6, and my hair has body, easier to comb through and I believe my hair is being covered with my sebum, my point is, I have seen more body and moisture in my hair in 6 days than I have in 2 years.

    This is confirmation Cyn! I was just thinking of alternatives for wash-n-gos. I personally hate them and what it does to my hair. I'm sorry they look good for about 10mins! I live in Texas so the humidity does a number on my hair already. I have somewhat low density hair and all that pulling and manipulating every other day does nothing but put stress on my strands. I was literally just thinking of setting my hair with flexrods tonight. Thank you soo much for your consistency in making sure we are educated when it comes our tresses.

      Yes love it’s so simple! You can still wear your big natural hair but set it first. Get a mannequin and practice a few times. You can comb your hair and run your fingers through your hair with ease! Remember to smooth your hair around the rod as you wrap. Try it and keep me updated!❤️

    Real question… what is wrong with doing a wash and go, flat twist or twist out set if you sit under the hooded dryer and let it dry completely, especially if for example in a flat twist set, your stylist uses a detail rat tail comb to first smooth the hair before twisting it, twists are also stretched styles?

    • @NiyaT17
      @NiyaT17 6 месяцев назад +4

      I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, however, you need to regularly stretch your hair (preferably every 8-10 weeks) in order to assess and maintain your ends. Also, in my opinion, twist outs and wash n go’s are my prone to cause tangling and put knots in your hair. When I wore my hair primarily in twist outs, I had rows of single strand knots in my hair, even with regular trims. Even through they may be cute, Wash n go’s, in particular can be more damaging than good even if you set under a hooded dryer. Especially if you’re packing on tons of product and gel.

    • @IamCynDoll
      @IamCynDoll  6 месяцев назад +8

      When you do a twist out you can not just pick up a comb and freely brush/comb your hair without breakage or adding products. I can comb through their hair with ease with any comb dry. I could even wrap it and turn it into a roller wrap/silk press with no flat iron. Try combing a wash and go at the end of the day or doing a roller wrap on a wash n go or twist out. The bonds are not properly set. Thanks for watching. I explain in detail on so many videos here on my channel.

    Literally talking about the health of your hair, you naturally sweat, you naturally have a lot of things going on with our body, but you have to have maintenance to keep yourself healthy! The same for your hair! PS: been seeing a lot of RUclips videos about “starting over” “Big Chop” “ruined my hair, starting over” or “my hair is thinning and don’t know why” etc the list goes on…I’m just saying 🤷🏾‍♀️

    How is wearing you natural curls more damaging than this. I understand that it can be “harder to detangle” but if you properly moisturise your hair and have a good routine there shouldn’t be any breakage. After a week I naturally stretch my hair with bands overnight then in the morning I can comb through my hair, wash it and do it all over again. When I go to the salon to get trims I barely have any damaged ends. I do have HS the autoimmune disorder so sometimes my hair is affect by that but other than that my hair is fine. I don’t think natural curls are the problem. I think that the method and people trying to make their hair do something it’s not train or wanting to do is the problem

    • @IamCynDoll
      @IamCynDoll  6 месяцев назад

      You have to wrap the ends tightly or use a Bobby pin to secure it. It’s not a good style when trying to avoid a hairshaft disorder. You wouldn’t keep your clothes or any other fiber you value in a knot. Why would you do it to your hair?

    • @golisha5871
      @golisha5871 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@IamCynDoll interesting take. I didn’t think of it as actually knotting the hair. Although it does involve 2 strand twist which it seems you’re also against. But in my method, I smooth my hair out and then twist then rap the twist around its self to form the “knot” and this keeps my ends tucked away should I wear the style for a few days. However, I do get split ends and hair with the knots. Ultimately my hair grows longest and fastest when I keep it braided without extensions!

    • @IamCynDoll
      @IamCynDoll  6 месяцев назад

      Your hair is splitting and knotting which is a hairshaft disorder. All women who follow “your method” have split ins and knots which is a hair shaft disorder caused by two strand twist and Bantu knots. Your method isn’t working you have a hairshaft disorder.❤️ I treat women who do what you think work 15 years later after hair weathering sets in. Do what you want just remember you were warned.❤️
