Sadly this is the last time we see Phyllis, RIP Chuck
I loved Phyllis she was so funny
Love her, brilliant character
I'm sad about that, I loved her character.
Everybody's favourite grandmother.
A wonderful character. Sad to see her go.
Steve wouldn't have pulled that stunt on Vicky if Bet had still been on the scene. She was the only one who could put the frighteners on him.
I think a few people lived to regret not helping Bet in her hour of need.
Bet was like the mafia
I can't thank you enough, Eve, for uploading all these. Am going through a tough time at the moment in my life and the escapism from today's woes, these old episodes provide is invaluable! ❤
You're very welcome Phil - keep smiling eh! And yes, that's what's so special about old Corrie.. you can get away from modern day life to a simpler and nicer time! 😉
@@EveHenleySpread 👍🇦🇺👏♥️
Jamie buys the household groceries 😘 pass the tissue. I love this kid
Steve is an actual horror , forgot how bad be was
Andy was the good twin
But a very very boring🥱
Character
Another great month Eve. Thank you.. Great Steve got his just deserts.. Fred and Norris. What humour. Ridiculous but hilarious 😂..
Thanks Eve. Happy smiley faces 🤣
2:10:21 "It looks like to me, I say, looks like to me!"
Classic Fred. Rest in peace, John Savident.
R.I.P
Camp legend was Fred
thanks for these uploads evehenley you legend :) loved round this time when don bought the garage love it when he kicks off at kevin brilliant lol :D
I love border collies too! Beautiful and smart! Much more intelligent than many characters on corrie street
My English grandfather was a Fusilier but he was KIA in 1918 so I never met him but I met my English grandmother
Does Dreary know how to do anything besides open the front door and put the kettle on?
😂 you forgot crying....
I love watching Maureen become a more fully developed character and not only the ditsy woman caught between an incompetent and controlling mother.
An incompetent husband I meant to say
I think we all knew what you meant Kimberly. To me, Reg Holdsworth was up there with Fred Elliot as sleazy over-confident and spectacularly unattractive. They both made Jack Duckworth look like James Bond. 🤣
@@SuzyQ334 Exactly, both revolting.
@@SuzyQ334🎯
@@bernicecox5208Funny though 😅
Anyone else finding it rather difficult to feel any sympathy towards 'Lady' Victoria in the McDonald conspiracy court case? Looking back at mid-1995, Steve wasn't really showing any keen interest in her, but she was determined to 'get him': to show Fiona, as well as Bet and Alec, that she was top dog: The Winner. She got more than she bargained for.
Very boring story line.
So Liz goes from screaming that she won't have Steve set foot in her house, to inviting him to stay there. Her parental astuteness never ends. And she wonders why Steve is the way he is.
Good grief... if I hear Jim Macdonald say one more time " Buck stupid" 😂
That irritates me too.
He's a caricature of a northern Ireland man.
That and " Tell me this and tell me no more "...argh !!!
What about .. "what about ya" and "you know what I mean" and "hold your horses"
"Catch yer self on" is the one that boils my p@#s
Loved his character
@@claredrew8039 Hodd ye horses
I am finding Ashley's girlfriend/Ken's live in Nanny so tedious, I honestly don't care where she took the baby today and how much easier it would be if she could drive......... but I did enjoy seeing Steve eye rolling Mcdonald get what he deserved.
The Judge at Steve's Court Case is Played by William Lucas.
Best Known for The Role of Dr Gordon in The Adventures of Black Beauty 1972 - 1974 📺
Good to see Helen Tate (Dorothy Vernon) from TV show Court Court has got on & is now a magistrate 🤡
Who?
Yes!! 2 years hahahaha 😂 (I'm too involved with this show. 😮)
Amusing to see Ashley Peacock, playboy - the year before he became a sort of moral crusader, trying to rescue and reform Zoe the Sulk, Stroppy Teenager of this Parish, Mk. 2 (Nicky Tilsley is in the top spot for that).
Imagine Joanna would go on to become a big star winning an emmy for Downton. She was good as Zoe though.
Steve going back to fiona as soon as vicky is gone - says it all for his shite character and all the marriages he had
I would rather Maxine If
I was him
I LOVE FRED ELLIOTT I SAY I LOVE FRED ELLIOTT X
Given the chance I think Ashley would leave Ken's baby in the house by it's self.
I don't remember him being so Thoughtless and Selfish. He's leading Amanda into trouble with her job and Ken 😳
Kelly
Poor Vicky. Steve was vile to her!
She knew what she was getting with Steve
Vicky deserves all she got 🎉
25 minutes in and I'm hoping we don't see too much more of Fiona. She puts everything on a downer. Her face could turn fresh milk sour from a hundred yards.
She certainly is moody, mostly in a bad mood. What a drip. And she shouts at everyone, LOL
Totally thought the same, she is so moody, bet it hurts her to smile.
A bit harsh...she gave the producers what they wanted. As for her face...she's beautiful
Liz is the worst. That overbite, one facial expression and every word sounds like she has a mouthful of spit.
And her brother is even worse, AND a controlling bully.
Des has darker, slicker hair this year. Trying to make him look younger, I guess.
Steve is such a slime!
1:10:32 mins. Surely this is a case of the postman giving mail to some random bloke in the street who has stopped outside a house.
During the scene in the Kabin baby Daniel has a pkt of wine gums in his hand then when Martin arrives Rita is seen given Daniel a pkt of winegums again.
Roll on a few seconds and Rita is seen giving him a pkt of mints 😂😂.
Poor child must have had to indure several takes during the scene in the Kabin
Is Kevin physically able to eat anything without leaning so far forward that his head is almost touching the plate?! He eats like a neanderthal. Mind you he behaves like one as well.
The Beverly Hillbillies have nothing on Jack and Vera. Cutting you toe nails on the table. That is beyond disgusting.
What ever happened to vickys parents house? I don't remember her selling it after they died.
At 01:30:00 Percy mentions the end of the war in Europe 51 years earlier. I wonder what he would make of this week's events?
3:25:00 onward...
really great dialogue..
The young girl can only say "I don't mind" numerous times... I can't even be bothered to count.
Is this where Corrie starts going downhill?
sorry folks... but I'm trapped in my home, struggling to find anything interesting, I'm unvaxxed therefore a threat to society and confined to my home...
I have not had a TV for decades, just t'internet, so am very glad that @EveHenleySpread has posted ALL these for me to catch up... well done you. :)
Each to their own, I thought the scene with Becky was funny when she just said "I don't mind" to everything, then called Des a plonker 😆Good actress, Emily Aston.
I love ❤️ the old ones of Corrie I remember watching this, What is Joyce up to? I hope 🤞 Fiona goes to visit Steve in the big house! (As Jim calls it) I think Jim still loves liz but liz is having none of it! I think 🤔 them pictures of jack and Vera are great!
By the 1990s there are some seriously tedious storylines that dragged on way too long and made even massive fans hit the ff-button. Sorry, but the Steve & Vicky saga was one for me - plus any scene involving anyone with the last name McDonald.
Josie was the one who pushed Don into buying the Garage, she also had a hand in the house sale to Nick.
It was Mike who left the valuation of £50,000 for her to see. He got them both.
I dont know what effects me more. Real contempt for Steve or frustrated exasperation with Vickey.
If we're comparing a soap storyline to real life IMHO they were both too young - Vicky lost her parents and should never have been handed all that money at 18 or got married so young. And no one, I mean no one, deserves a father like Jim McDonald.
And no one deserves a mother like Liz .. ( unfaithful x 3)
@@SuzyQ334r even if the money was handed at 18, there should have been some financial counciling. £250k especially back then in Manchester would have bought her a lot of houses she could have rented out for extra income. I mean an average terrace was £30k, detached £70k and a semi £45k.
"it's only a prison visit - no big deal" - really? I went through the so-called "care" system in the UK after being born into the family from hell. Now in my 60s, I know no one who has ever been in jail and the only jail I've ever visited was Alcatraz in San Francisco which was a lot of fun. I think 1996 was when Corrie's scriptwriters/producers started losing the plot.
I've never heard a visit to Alcatraz as "a lot of fun"! The people I know who've visited found it very moving and quite disturbing. Not meant as criticism of you, just kinda interesting.
3:28:14 she slipped up a bit there, she said "either" instead of "I don't mind".
4:56:00 beautifully written and played by the actors. 😁
Roy is better than Alma at running a café
Yeah I'm surprised he is quite confident there and I remember he was very creepy and weirdo stalker dodgy guy when he first came but when did he changed into good and a loveable buffoon gentle autistic guy when exactly do you know was it in 1996 and which month.
It must've taken Becky absolutely ages to learn her lines "I dont mind, I don't mind, I don't mind"
Its Tracy Barlow mark two. "Me taaaapes!"
And he's a plonker
Is there a point to Maud being a wheelchair user? It adds nowt to the storylines. And doesn’t yer man with the black beard do a lot of supping? He’s in loads of scenes in the Rovers.
Kevin a mechanic can't hear the loose fan belt in his dad's van?
Don't fancy Steve's chances 🤕 in prison compared to fighting man Jim
😂😅🎉
Is it the same in Britain as it is in the US of A? If it is, God help Steve 😅
Tricia has always maintained that if only somebody would give her a chance, she'd work hard.
Let's see how long it takes for her to start the skiving and slagging Mike off, behind his back, after he gives her the chance she's been wanting so badly.
Steve omg thought use his charm on Vicky didn't work
same back page again but steve on the front page of the news paper
Can daniel walk he's always being carried
What a terrible actor Simon Gregson is
He was horrendous back then. His wide eyed gurning screwed up face.
28 years later he's still in it
He's becoming a new Ken Barlow 🥴😩
Which one is Simon?
Cast for his boy band looks , way back in the day
I don't see what the women see in Des, especially once you know his personality!
Spot the alien among us, sitting in the jury???
4:41:25 it's great when the penny drops with young people. You can't force it, they have to come tobthe conclusion themselves. ❤
Boy, The men on this show sure love their Dicken's Cider!
3-27 Do You like Him
No I think he's a Plonker 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Has kelly only got one set of clothes
Always lovely observations from you Barb, you must be very rude in everyday life?
Such a rigmarole over Ken's childminder having a boyfriend in the house. Shows how much times have changed.
Didn’t the Wilton’s still have Arthur’s ear? Wonder why they didn’t glue it back on? LOL😂
Becky isn’t much of a talker. She’s very repetitive like a robot 🤖.🧙♀️🧙🏿♂️🧟🧛🏾
What on earth is going on with Gails cafe, there are suddenly huge large windows right by the till, the whole place has shrunk!! Then, in the next scene it was all back to normal, weird!
It’s funny how they take the viewers for idiots with constant continuity errors eh! I’ve said it before but did the writers conveniently forget that the Kabin used to be next door to the cafe and have a sort of adjoining door? Then they show an outside shot of it and it’s in the end of a row.. did the kabin get knocked down! Lol. Don’t get me started on the Rovers.. what ever happened to the huge Select function room? Was it under ground!?! 😂
@@EveHenleySpread why do they not show supermarket anymore forgot bloody name of it lol still show bags.tho.dont they🤣🤣??
Bettabuys? Maybe the producers fell out with Morrisons where they used to film it on a Sunday lol 😂

Whatever the rights and wrongs of Steve McDonald's behaviour , he was right about one thing, being working class is always going to increase contempt and sentence from the powerful elites.
Is kelly a full shilling
Are you?
Daniel could be Ken's son or grandson, they do look alike.
My thoughts too
3:07 - oh my days - I never even recognised Phylis here - she is looking very frail - even her voice is different 🙁🙁🙁
At 2:53 Fred calls Mavis "Mrs. Barlow". This is her real name.
He actually says “oh, he’s only at the bar love” 😉
Dippy mavis, that's funny!
Has Vicky not got another suit good grief she’s apparently loaded ,,,
gosh I hate steve mcdonald
It’s not real 😂
@@DuruttiVisca Stupid point, you can still dislike characters, whether the actor or the part they playing. Nobody said it was real, so what are you going on about ya misery?
Why is Tricia always pushing that kid around?? it’s been doing my head in for weeks!!! So annoying!
3:25:02 I like Becky’s character.
Victoria wears Steves undies😂🎉😅
I'm so 😊Happy Steve McDonald was found guilty ❤his mom sucks
Des wouldn't say that to Jim's face He would be eaty out of a straw🤕🤒👊
What with the women fulling love Slimeball Steve
Script? 😅
Bacon and mustard?
If they dont get rid of Steven McDonald, they MUST change him, otherwise he will ruin corrie
One day in prison and they are already visiting!?
It's been 1 week they said
Come to think of it, training in jail might be good for Steve cos he'd suit being a wealthy older man's toyboy. With his make up and drippy ways. But I like him, feel sorry for him, it's not his fault that he's been given this creepy, horrendous, personality. And why has his mum suddenly taken his side, out of the blue? Crazy Macdonalds? My conclusion. Even Andy isn't exactly steady. Jumping around from jobs and Uni. Thinking he can bed a decent young woman before wedlock. Etc
Kelly whinging on and on.
Kelly is the size of a brick "coal" house ...
I beg your pardon, so women have to be skinny lamp-posts?
