- This video highlights some ways of using the Premiere Source Monitor more like Media Composer. I show how to see what's in the Source Monitor in a timeline view, and how to copy a whole scene from one timeline into the Source Monitor, and cut it into a different spot. I also showcase some common keyboard shortcuts in Premiere.
Premiere power user video and definitely something to bookmark! One of the most incredibly valuable videos for any MC editor working in Premiere. Karl demonstrates how to view sequence timelines in the source monitor, copy sections of sequences to the clipboard clipboard, make sequence subclips and more of the most commonly used functions that you might have thought were not available in Premiere Pro and more. As Karl shows, Premiere has these functions, but they're just a little hidden. Nice job Karl
Thanks, Carl. MC Vet here needing to work with a client in PP ... this a lifesaver. I'll miss the quick toggle S/R timeline feature in MC, but the drag & drop from a broll string is pretty nifty. Thanks for the pro tip!
Thanks for this video, Karl!
Amazing.
Brilliant thanks Karl
Very timely and awesome info! Working with an editor coming from Avid and this helped me convey all the points to make his workflow the same in Premiere Pro. BTW, it's now 10 years since I first introduced the PANCAKE TIMELINE in Premiere Pro to the world. For me it's the best and most efficient way to tackle any project especially those with large amounts of footage. Thanks again for all your tips and tricks to make us all better editors!
Vashi, your skills and knowledge have inspired so many! I owe much of my knowledge to you! Thank you!!
This is really helpful Karl. Thank you for posting this!
Coolie!! Notice the numerical name the "sub' was given in the project window.
1:35 DANG... It does not allow "Open Sequence in Timeline" with a Multi Camera view. Any suggestions for a work around?
This vedio Very helpful for us
