    Thanks man. I'm loving Pr's new color managment, but I noticed AE was changing the exposure. Thanks for putting your passion into this video to help guys like me.

    This is _exactly_ what I needed. I'm not super familiar with LUTS so the last part sort of went over my head, but will check out the article you mentioned. Thanks!

    Thx for the explanation. Adobe has been in the game for so long and here we are in 2024 and the exchange is just so easy between After Effects and Premiere... no doubt that the subscription plan has been the best solution for users, your money is well spent here! Who said I was being sarcastic? I wonder about their snail speed, don't they talk to each other there?

    Thank you for explaining this color workflow, but I have an additional issue. I'm doing VFX work on a music video and a lot of the shots I'm working on are 8K R3Ds. In order for me to be able to work with these shots in AE (and you know, not set my computer on fire), I need transcode these to 4K. I tried rendering out as ProRes4444, but there is a noticeable color shift. Is there any codec I can use that won't result in this shift?

    I have a Sony FX6. When I work in Premiere I change the BT709 and I put Slog3Cine to work, but when I send the image to After Effects the input to Slog3Cine is different color, its like the BT709 in After Effects is different than in Premiere. Do u know how to solve this?

    quick question: if I really only care about viewing the log footage colour managed in premiere (dynamic linked from after effects, and then render and replaced with prores 422) can I just set it to manual colourspace override? is this going to affect my footage badly in any way?

    I have a blank composition in after effect when imported nested video from premiere pro project and drag it into new composition. And stuck in here. The both is the latest bulid from creative cloud. I'm just wondering, why I paying 'powerfull' software editing to experience difficulties?

    Adobe has lost their minds. Been using AE and Premiere since 1998 and I'm totally confused today suddenly when I imported into AE from Premiere...nothing seems to be working for color interpretation.

    This is really handy, thanks. Utterly maddening that they introduce a great thing and make it not work properly - at the very least the workflow should have been, replace with After Effects Comp and then go into Interpret footage and set the correct color space, however, they haven't added the tone mapping so it is blown out and unusable like as it really should be that simple. Nuts.

    Karl, can you tell me how to save a Lumetri preset in After Effects 24.1.0 build? In the past simply right clicking on Lumetri in Pr would offer a save preset option. This is not the case in AE.

    why not turning on auto detect on lumetri effect on after effects then send it to premiere? because in this setup, you're running 2 instances of lumetri, one in after effects and one in premiere and it will just slow down rendering time unneccesarily

    Hello, do you have a fix for the "washed colors in export in PR", outside of using the QT Gamma LUT and the checked "Display color" in preferences?

    • @KarlSoule
      @KarlSoule  Год назад

      In 24.0, there’s a new “viewer gamma” setting in the new Lumetri Settings tab. This will adjust what you see in Premiere Pro’s Program monitor, so you can make accurate adjustments for your output destination. I cover this in my September 2023 color update video.
