A new subscriber here & this is wonderful viewing. As a Norwegian woman, now living/working abroad & one who very surprisingly, found out she's got some South Asian & specifically Pakistani & Northern Indian DNA, I have a new found love & interest in these countries. I must have my parents & entire family tested, to see where this South Asian DNA hails from, as I've never heard of any South Asian DNA within our entire family, but nonetheless, what a truly extraordinary find for me. I want to visit Pakistan & see this country's most spectacular landscapes, but I would most likely do it with a Pakistani local/guide, as I wouldn't know what to do & where to go exactly. Funnily enough, just prior to receiving my DNA results, I'd suddenly grown very interested in Pakistan & had been watching a number of videos regarding Pakistan (specifically), so I guess my genes knew better than me & I was meant to know. I really love the high mountain ranges, the very snowy Winter landscapes up North, the general scenery across the country & the local folk, who for the most part, all appear to be very hospitable, friendly & welcoming. As my own country is dotted with spectacular landscapes & mountains, I can feel the connection to other similar landscapes, but I do know, that Pakistan has such mountains as K2 & Nanga Parbat & so many others, that these mountains dwarf any Norwegian mountain. Thanks for creating & sharing. Peace to the world.✌
What an incredibly fascinating story you have! Yes you’re right your genes did know better and beat you to it! 😜 Thank you for sharing and it’s great to connect with you. Norway is on my bucket list I would absolutely love to visit one day! I love your scenery, the northern lights, how you have 4 months of daylight then four months of darkness. Incredible!! I’d love to experience all of this! Maybe I’ll have to stay connected with you 😜 I hope you enjoy my main documentary too (video before this). I’d love your feedback ! Its unbelievable how beautiful Pakistan is. Its has the most beautiful clean beaches to cold deserts, highest mountains in the world, beautiful lush valleys, rivers, civilization, culture, different ethnicities, languages, and what not. The politics has totally ruined it unfortunately. Love Pakistan from Balochistan ❤

Unfortunately I have no photos/videos because cameras were not allowed. When I was staying in Lahore, I took a day trip to see Gurdwara Nankana Sahib. Once I found out that it’s where Guru Nanak was born & it is one of the most important & holiest sites in Sikhism, I just HAD to visit. It was Ramadan, buses weren’t running frequently, it was blazing heat (for me like the Sahara desert 🥵) but I pushed through and made it happen. Upon arrival I was mortified to find out that you had to show Pakistani ID to enter (which I don’t have) Foreigners are not allowed 😭 Luckily I had my Lahori friend with me, she distracted security fumbling around with her ID & snuck me in 😂 I vividly remember walking in, looking up & my heart just stopping because it was unbelievably stunning. All I can say is Wow. You have shown us the glimpse of what to come on this channel. The drone shots of KKH especially near the Jaglot area were incredible. I cannot say one part of this episode was better than the other, they are all incredible. The scene where you show torn up road is still the same as I remember it. I believe it is near Chilas area. Did you notice any hot springs there?. The loose material are part of the old glacial moraine. Most of the problem with the KKH back then was the landslides, rock slides and mudslides, which would destroy the KKH. Another important item to note that the mountains in that region are uplifting (Plate Tectonic). I read one paper where they estimated it to be 1 cm per year. Overall, what a year it was for you. Your journey through Pakistan, actually experiencing how people of Pakistan, especially in the northern area live, is simply put, Incredible. I cannot wait to watch the remaining Episodes .
Maybe I’ll have to stay connected with you 😜

Sat Sri Akal Uncle Jee thank you for stopping by. I’m so glad that you’re visiting Pakistan you’re going to absolutely love it! I visited two Gurdwaras & was AMAZED. In future I would love to make a documentary on “Sikhs in Pakistan”. Maybe you can help me! 😜 Have the most wonderful time in November. Give my regards to your mother. Thank You so much for taking us couch surfer along. If you are in London, visit the British Museum and look up the India section, where you will find historic images and memoirs of British excursion in the Northern Areas.

Asra,
I came across your channel just today and have already watched both episodes on Pakistan. I can't believe what I've just watched. Over the years there's been a lot of content made on Pakistan by both locals and foreigners but this is by far one of the best I've ever come across. What makes it stand out is that it doesn't just stop at showing us the absolutely stunning scenery of Pakistan but the interestingly immersive cultural experience that we get to witness and feel throughout your journey.
I must say it again, you're one hell of a storyteller. Also, your urdu is actually quite wonderful even the accent is so good that it shows that you truly belong.
Loved everything about it. Especially your dedication to learn urdu which in today's world even not all Pakistanis speak very well.
Thank you, Asra. Excited for the upcoming episodes.

Which is why I’m hoping I can show the world a real, raw, rugged and historical version! All through my experience.
Thank you for stopping by I really appreciate you watching. You’ve gotten me excited to release episode 2! ♥️
@@asrahussainnHello back friend!
I'm really glad that you loved it. Even though it doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what it is you've achieved here, but I tried my best to just put my feelings into words. It's not a review, because that would take the length of a whole essay, it's just my impression of what you've made us all experience.
What you're referring to is indeed maddening, however if someone offers you something out of sincerity, you should take it with gratitude rather than feeling entitled to it. They'll really appreciate it.
And let me tell you, what you were hoping, you've already achieved by giving us a peek into your experiences. I can only imagine what it'll be like to go through it in detail in the upcoming episodes. It must be a thrilling roller-coaster ride of emotions.
Thank you so much!
