In 2019 I decided to tick off my biggest and scariest goal - To Travel the World!
I packed my backpack, booked a one way ticket and set off on my journey alone.
The plan was to have.... no plan.
Little did I know just what kind of adventures awaited me. from backpacking through Ex-Taliban areas to living with Mountain Tribes in the Himalayas, Being tracked down by the military, rescued from the mountains, and backpacking through military occupied territories are just some of crazy stories.

Seen it second time
Excellent work Asra, choice of music compliments the footage. I am sure must have gone through difficult times with Military and Intelligence officials. But your resilience and lust for adventure and the determination to give tribute to your Grandfather, kept you going. Mr Tajjamul Husain must be smiling from heavens to see his granddaughter assiduously pursuing her passion. Kid ! You an inspiration to young girls of Pakistan and your British brought up is a source of confidence to our girls in Pakistan and UK . I would suggest if you can make a playlist of all episodes.
Excellent work
That needs to be improved infrastructure in this area, including light and electric

6:21 no this not the concept. The tribe doesn't have chief or hierarchy. There isn't any myth like chief. For lumberdar: it's stupid British era colonial hierarchy to administer the region. Such as political agent control whole Gilgit Baltistan. And these number are employees to monitor each village. For example Gulmit village in whole has one lumberedr who administers the village. The tribe has nothing to do with government paid lumberdrs. I am native Wakhi and do want to correct it. Kindly change the 6:10-6:13.
@@iqbalkarim7107 All the Wakhi disagree with you. You’re outnumbered. So you must be incorrect. Right at the end in the credits you can see which individuals were involved with the research. You can take it up with them. Kindly correct your comment

You’re very kind I really appreciate how much you support me. I was showing your messages to my friends! They were also very pleased to see what you wrote 😍 yes I hope the channel grows further it is a real shame to work so hard on documentaries and it doesn’t get millions of views! And then there are people making silly videos and going viral 😩 It can be quite disheartening ☹️ but I will stay positive! Because I have wonderful people like you who support me and encourage me 🥰 and I’m sure our online family will grow 😍 where are you based ?
@asrahussainn It's indeed very discouraging but after thinking about and analyzing it, i came to the conclusion that it all depends on the IQ level of masses and has nothing to do with content but one thing is for sure hard work does pay off sooner than later! and i have zero doubt that one day you will also cross One Million sub's inshallah😍🥰 and i love to watch your videos as it's kind of therapy for me! Life in the north is very different. I visited outside of tourist high season, and it’s just so different. So dark at night, so cold… so harsh… but the natural environment is just perfection ❤️ it must be so challenging to live there, though. And it’s true what you say about the literacy and society in Hunza… it’s like a different mindset. Love the music choices! So interesting to know that they begin with prayers in Farsi! And the wedding traditions are so different to those of “mainland” Pakistan 😍 love the couple on the tractor! Best wishes Karim and Nahida for a long, happy, healthy and peaceful life together ❤️
@@UrbanDuniya My DEAR friend! THANK YOUUUU for such a beautifully written description of what this doc made you feel. I really appreciate you watching and leaving feedback. I’m so glad there were some new things for you despite you already knowing so much! And thank you for gifting me your book. I really appreciate having it as support when I was doing the research 😍♥️ I’m so glad you liked the music! My goodness selecting, hunting and editing soundtracks is one of the HARDEST parts! And one of the parts I dread the most! So I really appreciate you mentioning them! I really like the very first soundtrack in particular. The one for the intro 😍
It’s so interesting that so many people expect the Karakoram range to be lush, and arriving there I think this expectation is forgotten because the mountains are just so breathtaking in other ways. They’re so jagged and dramatic… one of my favourite parts of the entire world ❤️ As for my favourite scene, I’m looking forward to seeing you surprise your Hunza family in a later episode, but there’s something about that early scene in the Kumrat valley, when you wake up after your long journey there are the river is right in front of you… I’ve done that journey, and it’s a long one, however when you wake up and lay your eyes on the morning sun glistening off the perfectly clear water… it’s like waking up in heaven ❤
@@UrbanDuniya Oh my goodness your description of the Karakoram is so on point! I think maybe I should ask you to write my voiceover scripts in future 😂🙈 Re-uniting with my mountain family is an episode that I am itching to put together. I can’t wait! And good shout… that is a good scene to be a favourite 😉 what can I say you are a man of taste!
I just love how crystal clear those rivers are in the north pf Pakistan! You’ve shown it so well ❤️ booni, Mastuj and that whole upper Chitral and phander area is just so gorgeous. Love your descriptions, too! And it’s a great primer for what’s coming up, too, with all of the episode references. You’ve clearly done so much research for this, and it’s paid off! Wonderful drone footage, too :)
@@UrbanDuniya Thank you my love I appreciate it. Putting together 50 minutes of clippings wasn’t easy hahaha. But I’m glad you can see which episodes are to come and at least the Wakhi one is out now! Hoorayyy. So 15 episodes in total. 2 down. 13 more to go 😩😩😩 wish me luckkkk
