Band is from Ukraine, Tatiana writes 90% of the lyrics and the band writes the music. Eugene plays Bass, Roman plays guitar and Vladimir (Vlad) plays the drums. Perennial from Wacken 2019 is an actual live video I would recommend. Jinjer is currently on tour in the United States.
Small correction - drummer's first name is Vladislav actually. But in any case he is more commonly known as Vlad :)
As a vocalist in a band myself, I can say with some confidence that she will be involved in the music writing side too, in terms of constructing melody over the riffs and rhythms that the band puts together. That's how it works in my band and, as someone who worked in the music business for over a decade, I can also say that copyright and writers' ownership, strictly speaking, relates to top line [i.e. the melody of verses and choruses].

Jinjer is the whole band. Tatiana sings Vlad is on the drums Roman on guitar and Eugene on the bass. They are from Ukraine...Tati writes most of the songs. You must check out some live songs...watch Judgement & punishment one take performance next. You will see Tati in all her glory!

@@derekzurbola8009 - Writing a song is creating the structure, the melody, the key the song is going to played in... Tatiana does none of that. In fact, she's even stated multiple times that she stays away as far as possible from the song writing process.
The part where Cynthia asked "is that the drummer making that sound?" - Yes, that is what is referred to as a Blast Beat in the Metal world. As for sounding like a duet, Tatiana does her own harmonies in separate vocal tracks during production, and even during concerts in some songs they will have her harmony tracks playing while she sings live. All her voice, just overlaying tracks.

The guys compose the music then hand off demo recordings to Tatiana who listens (and procrastinates haha) then comes up with lyrics and weaves her vocal composition into the music. They even have a video (Wallflower) that's symbolically about the guys hounding her to finish writing the lyrics so they can record the album. :) Until Wallflowers, Roman did most of the composition but on Wallflowers, Vlad composed all but two. I'd recommend Perennial live at Wacken next so you can see them do their thing on stage. The tat on her left arm is a coverup, but has become some of her most iconic ink. I don't know if there is any particular significance to the design though, it does look quite mandala-like. Tatiana also identifies with the fish aspect of being a Pisces so the similarity of the shape to fish scales could reflect that.
Their logo represents the tip of a drill bit. The area of Ukraine where they are from is known for its coal mines. Tatiana's father works for a coal mine. I guess you could say she's a coal miner's daughter. She wrote a song about the struggle of the coal miner called No Hoard of Value.

They are from Ukraine. Tatiana and Eugene (the bassist) are from eastern Ukraine, the area that was attacked in the war with Russia. They had to flee their homes. Tatiana literally escaped with only one hour to spare. She could not convince her parents to come with her. She had to leave them behind. They refuse to give up their home. The band wrote a song and made a video about it. It's called "Home Back."
What a lie. Russia did not attack this territory, it was the Ukrainian authorities who attacked their own people.
They are from Ukraine. They fled their war torn home town Donesk. Jinjer itself has been around since 2009 but they don’t claim to be official until Tatiana joined in 2010. Tatiana writes the lyrics. As some have said, Jinjer is from Ukraine. The band members write the music and Tatiana creates the lyrics after. I believe, sometimes, they make adjustments but other times there is not enough time and the song and lyrics just play together.

Their drummer is dope, youre right. Hes so creative. Hes also classically trained in music. Multi instrumentalist. All their members are great at their instruments. I think the band comes up with the lyrics with vlad and tatiana taking the lead.
On this album Vlad did much of the musical arrangement, before Wallflowers Roman composed a good bit of their songs. Tatiana writes a vast majority of the lyrics after the band delivers demos of the music.

I love their energy, how tight they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics!
The first time I heard Pisces I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band.

Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs!
My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣
I love the story of Tatiana getting interested in learning to growl. In her own words, "I was inspired by Otep (Shamaya). When I was 15, my friend showed me a record of House of Secrets. I was like, ‘That dude - his voice is so powerful. And he said, ‘Oh come on Tatiana, that’s actually a woman!’ I was like, ‘What?’ She blew my mind. That was the time, the moment when I realized I wanted to shock people just like her. I just had the feeling or the intuition, like an extra sense that this is what I’m made to do.”
For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the newest album Wallflowers, first three videos are out for Vortex, Mediator (heavier) and Wallflower. Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs.
The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine in 2009 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members.
One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher (as you saw here) and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander, Dip A Sail and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that might do well together in one reaction).
I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken, both are must-see), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Note that because Jinjer has so many great official videos and so many astounding live performance videos, no Jinjer fan will ever mind if you react to a second video for a Jinjer song you've already heard, so whichever songs you choose, whatever pace you like: Enjoy! ❤🖤🤘

If you want to see something really interesting, check out Jinjer at the Hellfest 2021 virtual event. The entire show was recorded and shown for the virtual festival back in June. You can find it on the ARTE Concert channel. It's a fully made and produced live concert, just without an audience there. It's fascinating to see them perform these songs flawlessly, live, and even maintain that high energy, for a crowd of none.

Yes the comment below gives you most of the rundown Tatiana writes the lyrics Sometimes some of the other band members will but once she writes the lyrics she gives it to the band the band makes up the music and wrist each individual does their own twist four instrumental music for the song before she even hears it then she comes in and sings the songs and they come out the way she feels they should wow she is hearing it for the first time

Most Metal bands write their own music and lyrics. There are some projects in which only one person writes lyrics, sings and performs all the instruments in studio. Wolfheart - The Hunt for example, another two cool bands with female singers are Arkona from Russia, Masha is one of the pioneers of female growls and Arch Enemy with their current singer and former retired singer Angela. Also might check out Wintersun - Sons of winter and stars and Loneliness, epic songs, Loneliness could make you let a bit of emotion out :)

This song reminds me of the teachers I had in the philippines. Some were very violent and aggressive to treating kids it reminds me of them. Jinjer, the best female fronted band in our generation.

CRYPTA... all female death metal band from Brazil and Netherlands. They recently released their debut album after forming.
Arch Enemy....with either Angela Gassow or Alissa White-Gluz is fine. I feel Gassow had deeper growls.
And going WAY BACK to 1992....MYTHIC. another all female death metal band. Sadly, they only lasted 2 years when the band fired the drummer.

This is just a guess because I haven’t found anything on that particular tattoo you were referring too, but my guess would be fish scales(Tati is a Pisces) instead of a pine cone. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was mentioned in one of their many interviews online, but don’t have that kind of time to do the research.
