The "letting your eyes see the patterns" comment is really what sold me, when it finally clicked, it was so liberating! Now my most favourite way to play music, ever.
While there are also microtonal harmonic tables possible, Lumatone isn't just about microtonality. That's only one amazing capability in a sea of amazing ways the keyboard can enhance your creativity. Harmonic Table / Harmonic Mode is a layout for playing the standard western tuning (12-edo) with a new and creative perspective.
making highly expressive music instruments is very difficult, especially if its 280 individual keys. you can easily make an arduino beep when you press a button on a breadboard for a mere $24, but that is no replacement for an expressive keyboard. if you want a "budget" subpar version there's the axis-49 for $600, which itself popularized the harmonic table layout. if that's still outside of your price range i don't know what else to say
the layout seems like it's extremly similar to neo-riemannian theory. Makes sense that it makes the theory more straight forward, neo-riemannian is all about the connections between notes and chords
Oltre a costare un'esagerazione, mi sembra una stronzata gigantesca. Chi ha la necessità di differenziare il Re# dal Mib? Forse Ligeti o Stockhausen, non certamente la gente normale...
Sounds like a digital piano. Is this the new way to learn keyboard now. I'm a classically trained in the piano, i find this really off- putting and i can't get my head round it.
Nobody wants to buy such a cheap keyboard. Could you make it more expensive please? Have you thought about thick gold plating? Maybe cover it with gems? Maybe have each board individually decorated by Sacha Jafri? 😹
Woooow I was actually just trying to play the Harmonic Table on my Lumatone and struggling, it's like I summoned you :O

Une beauté ce morceau 👍👍👍
Does the keyboard have a transpose feature so you can keep the same pattern and play in a different key?
I think you don't really need it
Would be nice to extend the harmonic table concept to tuning systems having more than 12 notes per octave.
Tuning description at 1:50
Lovely space keyboard ❤
It really is a beautiful sound
Im colourblind and is very difficult to differentiate some of the colours lol.
i'm not and i can confirm they picked absolutely shit colours
The color and brightness of each key can be changed to your specification.
On the video the green and orange vs the blue and pink isn't really obvious
*Most intriguing indeed!* ⭐😃👍
This is a very good product but holy crap is it expensive. I'll honestly look at one at some point in time
Are you on vacations guys? It's been 4 months without new episode...
We've been cooking up something extra special :) Eyes on our channel for the next few days!
With the exception of everything
Which tuning is this?

@@lumatone I thought so, sounds like 12edo.
@@lumatone In this video only the keys are harmonic :)
Groovy jam at the beginning =)
This seems kind of cool but I can't for the life of me see why it's $3,800.

honestly a lot of niche synths and keyboards are very expensive just because of supply and demand

I got through most of the video before I realized that this is still just 12 edo!! 😂
Ain’t no “just” about it 🌈
@@lumatone Oh, you're right!! 😂
So amazing. It's a shame we're limited to 2 dimensions
