Love how real you guys are. Keeping God the center and showing that you can be real at the same time. Reminds me of a group of guys I used to backpack with for 8 years straight. I told my wife a few videos back that I thought you may be a pastor. Not sure if that’s true or not, but you live it well.

@Ozark Overland Adventures That is totally awesome that you were a pastor. I'm a missionary who has been going back and forth to Kenya, East Africa since 2005. My family is getting ready to make the big move there shortly and taking our right-hand drive JKU. We'll be living in off-road heaven, near where my wife grew up.

Great job and great video guys, yes it is rough as we get older as it seems our young friendships fade or grow apart. It is an important part of our lives to have friends we can count on, to grow with, share with and become greater men for our families. Trips like this are like building blocks and make our lives much better 👍👍

Many years ago my friend and I did runs like this in the Louisiana swamp. I wish RUclips existed in that day. I only have a few pictures of our trips in my channel to show for the years we traveled in the mud. We once had to winch out his jeep, pull the plugs to blow water out of the cylinders and also drained water that got into the crankcase. But we got the Jeep started and we were back on our way. I would have rode this trail then. But not anymore. I was able to repair my stuff back then. Great trip.

There’s an Army green eco diesel Oscar Mike package I have my eye on! Whatever I go with, definitely want it in army green. Haha just curious on what you’d advise since I’ll be wheeling in the Ozarks too. Also considering a Toyota as I’m a big guy (6’1 260) and the jeeps seem a bit tight.

@@jakeb.3918 James and I both wheel non Rubicons. If the cost savings is there you can buy rubicon axles for lockers. Or install lockers I. Your axles when you regear. The only real downside is the lack of the 4:1 low transfer case. That is debatable for some but I miss my 4:1 low.

@@paulzarychta3201 thank you for your reply! It seems as though I could save a decent bit buying a non rubicon, especially pre owned. Still shopping! Maybe I’ll see y’all out there at some point soon! 💪🏼

This was the best video 🙂 I was on pins and needles 😃 and nature was awesome aside from the fact that you just could not get a break with the trees🤣

Two thoughts come in mind. One, this is the most intense episode I have watched at this channel. Two, I am most impressed with Rubicon's balanced performance, looked easy for it.

I am sure that I am not the only one to bring this up but just in case I am not...I know that part of the experience is cooking from scratch right there at the campsite. I have car camped with my family growing up and then as an adult with wife and kids. Everybody spends good money on all the cooking gadgets and all but something that has simplified our camping experiences is cooking ahead of time like chili, soups etc... then vacuum sealing it all in a flat bag, freezing it then all we have to do is heat that up in a pot at camp. less to clean up, faster to prepare. Just something from 30 plus years camping experience. Love the video! Still holding out that one day I could be a part of a small group to teach mt the ins and outs of running these Arkansas trails...until then, I live vicariously through your videos! Shalom

Curious how the paint held up to the pinstripes. Maybe a next video idea is detailing those out. Great video Matt. Loved it!
