Very cool technique- looks a lot like frailing banjo to me. I’ve come to Irish Bouzouki fairly recently myself, having noodled around a fair bunch on many other stringed instruments but I somehow never actually learned to flatpick worth beans. Much of the trad Irish bouzouki repertoire seems to depend on blisteringly fast vibrato and complicated crosspicking techniques borrowed from the mandolin world, so I often despair ever being able to do justice to the bouzouki. It’s always great to find people who have brought different approaches to the Bouzouki.

@@ignisfatuus07 I play a Fender Irish Bouzouki tuned GDAE same as a mandolin, tenor guitar, tenor banjo, etc. That is just my personal preference and it helps with chord structure and fingering. I would guess if you tuned you instruments all in the same tuning, no matter what tuning you choice it would make your learning/playing life easier also. I'm all about music, playing, fun, enjoyment for myself and others. Just my personal preference, at age 79 I'm into easy!

Is there any difference between an "Irish bouzouki" and a "tetrachordo" greek bouzouki?
Well, main difference is tuning. Greek one is like a fourth tuning, such as a guitar. Irish one is more like mandolin family, tuned by fifths.
The Irish one is tuned like the "trichordo"Greek one, plus the G on bass (Irish GDAD, Greek 3chordo DAD). Greek 4chordo is CFAD
