Gumball was the only show for the longest time to fuck around with so many different art styles and as accurate to the inspiration as possible. The animators took it to a whole different level here, actually animating 8/12 fps, and reactions to incoming attacks.
Facts ❤️🔥💥💯
Fr closest to this was courage
Yeah, because they got an actual big name anime studio to animate the scene 😅
lol the gumball animators DID NOT animate the fight in the fury. That was an actually studio
You are right about the overall show messing around with different art styles tho, even if they bring in guest animators
What about the show Chowder?
Studio 4°C animated the Nicole and Yuki fight. Ben Bocquelet originally wanted Studio Trigger, but they were busy with various other projects. But Studio 4°C fucking delivered one of the best moments in the entire show!!!
Man, imagine having the kind of clout to just go "yeah i want Studio Trigger for this, are they free?"
@@TheGallantDrake usa dollar money still better that yen bro dont you ever compare overwork employee too a fcking capitalism usa hahahaha just me hating japan sorry
I have a feeling Trigger would have given us a few…certain angle shots
@@matrixster6238*me looking at Kill La Kill* yeah, tbh you’re right 😅
One of the animators from Studio Trigger did animate a sequence for Gumball.
It was the one where Gumball is on the skateboard dragging Darwin around. I can't recall the episode name at the moment.
Nicole and Yuki's anime fight is one of Nicole's most epic moments. She is one hell of a powerful mom.
Yeah makes me WISH they would do an anime series now.
Nicole and Yuki's fight sequence is one of, if not the greatest scene in the entire Show. The lower framerates, the reactions, and the action itself. It's all such a great, highly detailed love letter to anime, and Studio 4°C absolutely delivered with the animation.
You can say that again.
Easily Nicole's best moment.
you again? you watch Elijah NSAF and Letts Reacts as I do.
This fight legit reminded me of why I love anime so much
@@Totus2g314this guy watches like every reaction series for every react channel. I see them everywhere 😂😂😂
I'll just say it, The Disaster is one of the most creatively intensive and epic cartoon season finales I've ever seen
It's so good. I remember not being able to look away.
@@purpleirken1529yeah it was a great season finale
You can say what you will about Sussy, but I commend the showrunners for somehow making the "Weird Kid" in a cartoon full of "Weird kids".
Also by the way Richard is Italian American, Nicole is half Japanese, and Darwin is African American. This is all Canon by the way the writers confirmed this
Oh wow, I knew about Darwin. But had no clue about Nicole and Richard, and it actually makes a lot of sense.
No wonder Nicole has a strict parents.
Everyone already knew Darwin was African American 😂
5:25 The gym fight scene is basically a reference to the anime Kill la Kill that was made by the studio TRIGGER. The guys who also made Gurren Laggan and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Definitely feel the Edgerunners style
Trigger did not make gurren lagann that was gainax. Two former employees at gainax started trigger.
I know some people are saying this is trigger, but it's Studio 4C. I heard the rumor was they wanted Trigger, but trigger was busy so 4C (the berserk anime guys somehow) stepped in and mimiced their style.
"the disaster" is such a good season finale! I remember "the re-run" being hella promoted on CN back when it came out. It's one of my top fave episodes of gumball and one that's engraved in my brain lol
I really love that they know about the creepypasta 'The Grieving'. It used to be really popular years ago.
Bro, how did this fight get better animation than the entirety of 7 deadly frames?
Frame of Meliodas laying down on bed is forever engraved in my memory
Season 5 specifically
Nooooo don’t remind me! I loved that show so much and was so upset with how downhill the animation went
I just had a PTSD flashback from this comment
Season one is the best season. The only complaint I had was that in every episode it felt like it was trying to owt do the previous episode in terms of power level
9:55 Richard maybe is alive because as confirmed in The Traitor in the book Elmore Biology he's literally all stomach
The Fury is top 10 episodes in Gumball
The Compilation has one of the best songs in the series
YEAH the full on anime fight is so good gumball knows how to bounce between art styles insanely well
Rest in peace David Warner who was the voice of Rob.
Rewatching the manga style scene while Masami gives the backstory, definitely DB vibes 😢 6:58 yeah, RIP Akira Toriyama
The studio who helped with Nicole and Yuki's fight scene was Studio 4C, who also animated Transformers Animated and Thundercats 2011, two of the best revivals of older I.Ps.
If only Thundercats '11 was treated better, still irks me how it was quickly cancelled 😞
@@ashhabimran239 Yeah. It was pretty much sent out to die on an early time slot. And then we got Thundercats Roar, which only made it worse...
Fun fact: The fight sequence from The Fury was animated by Studio Shaft, the same studio that made Madoka Magica and Fate Stay/Extra: Last Encore.
Also, the two schools that Yuki guesses when asking Nicole what school taught her reference the Hokuto Shinken fighting style from Fist of the North Star, and the Hidden Leaf Village from Naruto.
Edit: A correction. I have been informed it was Studio Shaft, not Studio TRIGGER. My apologies.
OMG I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT HOW MUCH THE SHINING WHEN THEY CRASH LOOKED LIKE IN KILL LA KILL
I don't think it was. It was Studio Shaft or something right?
Studio 4°C worked on the fight, not Trigger. They wanted Trigger, but they were busy.
@@dankwaifu2093 Thanks, buddy.
@@dankwaifu2093 NOOOO YOU JUST CRUSHED ALL MY HOPES AND DREAMS (cool pfp btw)
We're finally at one of my favorite episodes The Fury. This show is at its best with art style changes and this shows it. The fight is absolutely awesome and Yuki and Nicole look great. And the Disaster is another of the best because of how intense it gets like it is dark in the best way
10:19 I’m dissapointed you cut out the reference of this scene. The Grieving was a pretty infamous gumball creepypasta from years ago.
That is so true, a friend of mine actually showed me the actual video of the Grieving
“Which school taught you? Was it Hokuto (no Ken, as in Fist of the North Star)? Was it Konoha (the Hidden Leaf Village, you can guess where that’s from)? Or was it… Mr. Miyagi…? (You guys caught that one)”
14:59 They all committed suicide to avoid her stories
Pretty sure the anime portion was animated by Studio Trigger(same people who made Kill La Kill, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, etc)
I'm pretty sure they were originally intended for them to animate it but ended up being animated by Studio 4°C
I have been struggling to figure it out if it actually was trigger who animated it for a long time now, hopefully you are right
8:26 Every time banana joe was in an episode dies
The episode 37 is in my top 3 favourite Gumball episodes 🤩🤩 The variation of styles in this show is amazing
the fury was animated by studio 4°c that actually animate these anime/animation: berserk, halo legend, batman gotham knight etc
We Finally Get To The Fury!!!!!
Fun fact the Grieving is an actual creepy pasta of a lost episode of the same name. I’ll leave out most details but basically it’s the Wattersons grieving after Aniais and Darwin die in the forest (obviously the lost episode in the creepy pasta never existed) and it was really cool to see the creepy pasta actually mentioned in show
You finally reached the anime fight scene.
The Grieving is a creepypasta.
The Wattersons have the oval eyes from S2.
I would've thought The Scam was 4's penultimate episode.
That other ghost in the locker is one of The Others from Anais' grade.
Gumball said in S2, if he saw Tina and Bobert fight, nothing would be worth watching anymore.
REMEMBER THE DISASTER FOR NEXT TIME...
To think you'll finish S6 by August...
The Fury is bringing some Street Fighter and Dragon Ball Z vibes. Nicole and Yuki fighting is one of the epic moments I've enjoyed. Those two are so powerful and their anime designs were incredible
🔥🔥🔥🤩🤩🤩🤣🤣🤣
Reminded me to respect Japanese animators
18:55 Most important part of the video😌
I'd forgotten about that😂
Man, another one of my favourite batch of episodes.
The anime episode is definitely one of the most iconic/best animated scenes. The animators for this show are truly the most talented.
I’ve lost track at the number of times Nicole made grown men cry just by glaring at them…
The funniest thing about that anime fight scene is that they put so much effort into making it look so good, and it was probably all done as a joke! 🤣🤣🤣
Nobody's a nobody song is so catchy. Everybody in Elmore are all singing about being different and weird in their own way
🎵🎵🎵🤩🤩🤩
I’m glad that this video uploads right when I wake up-
Isn't the Stories the second episode of Season 2?
Here's my opinion on the episodes:
The Fury - This episode is so extremely good. Even if it didn't have the anime fight scene, it would still be fantastic. That scene is just what cements it as one of the best episodes in the history of the show.
The Compilation - It's a fun episode! Definitely a slowdown from the last one, but it's fun and enjoyable.
The Stories - Am I the only one who likes this episode a lot? Surprisingly, for an episode about how boring Molly is, it's actually really fun. It kinda reminds me of season 2 where an episode doesn't have to be super extra to be a fun time. And Darwin being overly nice to Molly doesn't annoy me.
The Disaster - Part one of a two part special. It's kinda cool how the first part ends this season and the second part starts the next season. It's a really cool episode, but I don't like it as much just because the second part has all the real meat.
Most clipshow style episodes of shows suck but Gumball does them so well.
The flashbacks were totally a reference to Dragon Ball but the actual fight scene was supposed to be in studio Trigger artstyle. Similar to Kill la Kill for example
People laugh at her asking if Nicole learned from Mr. miyagi but but miss her asking if it was konoha that taught her right before that. Aka the leaf village lol
The Nicole and Yuki fight was sooo fuuckkiinn gooodd
And that season finale is just nuts
I'm just gonna say it, Nicole gets some of the best episodes!
Isn’t The Scam supposed to be episode 39?
Hbo just messed up the order
All four of these episodes slap for different reasons.
“The Fury” has an awesome fight scene that….kinda explains why people call Nicole waifu material. Also Yuki was TOTALLY in the wrong the whole time.
“The Compilation” is a classic anything goes styled episode, with such a charming song at the end.
“The Stories” is so grueling and agonizing, but that’s what makes it great.
And “the Disaster” shows just how threatening Rob can TRULY be. And wait till next week, it can get WORSE.
14:54 you see bonana joe cant survive
My favorite Gumball episode by a mile.
It sucks how much they hate sussie. She actuallys a sweetheart if you dont judge for physical appearance lol.
Some of the best episodes in the show and the best finale of the show.
in the compilation they reference the creepypasta lost episode the grieving by replacing it with the chihuahua on the saxophone in SpongeBob squibward open the door to a version of his bedroom for a second then a messed-up head of squibward look alike in the creepypasta, but nickelodeon shut it down when they noticed when it was aired. squibward suicide is cannon let's just say.
When (the cloud’s mom. Already forgot her name) asked where Nicole had trained, she mentioned Konoha, Naruto’s village.
I was waiting for this episode the longest, I knew y’all would love it!😂
17:38 bro i remember this episode from when i was 8
HELL YEAHHH!! this is what ive been waiting for
My theory on why the evil turtle made an appearance was probably due to the video being months old in universe
Finally they have witnessed Nicole using 10% of her power
i’ve been mainly watching y’all’s videos on patreon since june 2023, but i need to start watching the youtube videos more often again because the editing is so good! it’s improved a lot
RIP Akira Toriyama, a legend in manga arts.
6:56 Awww… that’s nice.
Bruh I watched that Fury episode so many times, how have I NOT noticed the melon hitting the guy lmaoooo
Ima say season 6 is probably my favorite season, but 5 is good too
Yuki keeps asking Nicole to fight her is reminding me of Rex and Cell in DevilArtemis.
Gumball is the gintama of cartoons
I think Gumball has to be one of the best children shows to ever exist, to the look, the characters and especially the comedy
After you guys finish the amazing world of gumball you guys should definitely watch Darwins year book and gumballs Chronicles it's something to watch after you finish the show I think
You guy’s also need to watch Darwin’s yearbook when your done with gumball
wait where is the ep 39? there was no ep 39 in this video, did you cut it out??
3:05 like she ain’t already married w/ a damn ☁️kid😂
5:25 - ANIME FIGHT!!! ✊✊✊
The Greatest Mum Fight Ever!!!
10:28 THE MEME😂😂😂
11:24 the clown in Gumball is like the snail in Aventure time is appears a couple times in the background just creaking out in corner looking directly at the audience braking the fourth wall just like the snail, so maybe look out of him
Just bc of that anime scene, i want them to react to Cyberpunk if they haven’t already 😂
Ruff already reacted to it in his second channel and I think Eric/SeeOhKnee also did too, would be amazing to see Boom react to it tho
Iirc they got Studio Trigger to animate the Nicole vs Yuki fight
I've been waiting so long for you guys to get to the anime episode LOL🎉🎉🎉
Rest in peace Akira Toriyama
I HAVE RAISE 3 KIDS AND ONE HUSBAND
..
WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HIT HARD
Am i the only one who noticed better character detail (the black outlines have gone thicker) since season 2?
I think we can all agree..
If they did a gumball anime, we'd watch it.
Even just a nicole spin off.
Weird Like You and Me is one of the best songs in the show and no one talks about it
The finale is just Click +if it was good! Lol
Dude the anime episode is my favorite fkn episode period
This show is Peak Stupidity but very enjoyable 😂😂
Ok this is my favourite episode 😂
My favourite episode of all time is “the shell” that’s the first episode that made me cry with laughter.
The anime sequence is chef's kiss
Oh yeah
One day. One day HMan will join on the Billy.
Yessss the anime episode is my freaking favorite ever ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The finale is a 2 parter but the second part is episode 1 of season 5
I was waiting for the anime ep
Anyone else catch the Peckish Aristocrab from Pikmin in the episode as well ?
Freaking love Pikmin.
Wasn't the fight scene animated by studio trigger?
The fury is in my top 3 best Gumball episodes. And not because of the anime artsyle. I didn't even know what an anime was when I saw this😆
Bro, they did not have to cook this hard
10:19 You cut the part out but the grieving is actually a creepy pasta reference
I hate that yuki barely appears after this. Like seriously she and Nicole could had a girls night out with the other Elmore moms.
Holy Production value!
U guys know where i can watch the reaction complete?
I’ve been waiting for you guys to react to that anime themed episode! I can finally rest in peace like the old lady at the end of Titanic…
I've been waiting for you guys to react to this episode!
We need a Gumball film adaptation soon on the big screen & give it a 1hr 50 something minutes run-time.
