Love the far away AM radio feel of the middle. I had miss-wired cheap Tele years ago and it was kept as is for this same sound. Wish I had Cooper's fingers to extract what my brain was seeking.
I have one, excellent tones and features. I have USA Fenders and this certainly hangs with those…extremely resonant, great neck and pickups. Doesn’t look too shabby either :) Fwiw, the neck on mine measures .88-.97
The thicker neck is compensated for by the top bridge and the slightly looser strings because of it. Even though the neck is 'thicker' when you wrap your fingers around it, bending the strings is not as hard.
I know, right? You'd think.....I got a Prestige Ibanez recently and those come with a really nice branded hardcase. You'd think a Sig model from Fender would have more than a bag. *shrug*
J has always played teles, he said that for most of the recordings of solos he uses a tele instead of the jazzmaster and that the jazzmaster is for the gigs mostly
Love your feeds guys, I have very good gear and I can testify that it’s so mostly the player… because I pick up my Fender Tele Pro series and I do not sound like Cooper ahah! Meanwhile I’ll get back to some more practicing here lol!
Honestly… I rarely pay the middle position, so this isn’t the worst idea ever. I’d probably go push/push on the volume for the Out of Phase tone, and maybe a push push on the tone for series/parallel. But let’s be honest. I’m mainly playing neck or bridge anyway. Anyone out there really rocking the middle position on a Tele on a regular basis? I guess I’m a man of extremes. 😅
Are you guys in Austin, J will be there soon. Anyway thanks for this, just got the guitar, remember the original blinding some people back in the 90’s :) but when playing I was like what’s with the middle position it sounds out of phase and quieter. Glad to see I was right. I play with a lot of pedals but will have to ask J next time I see him why he did that and I might rewire mine :) Amazing playing, thanks guys for the great review. Oh and does the pick guard come a bit scratched looking already?
I have to agree. I was shocked at the sound of the middle position and not in a good way. I'll stick with my old American Standard Tele but very informative demo. As always, Chris and Cooper do an excellent job.
It's a fairly easy switch if you have ever worked on wiring. I would definitely change it if I bought one. Which I might, because it's about the best looking tele I've ever seen.
3:41 LOLLLLLLLL Cooper's face at that remark was just priceless
“This is monetized, you have to chill out” I died 😂😂😂
I love these videos because I love guitars, but also because I want to shop at a music store where these two guys work there together.❤
That intro was the best. Cooper is so good he makes me wanna get a tele smh. Great review as always !

Glad you reintroduced that riff from the jazzmaster video for this. So cool.

Wow Cooper, you sound Awesome!
Great review. I love the guitar. Its a shame that it doesnt come with a hard case. I may pull the trigger on this one in the next six months.

Keep it going Cooper! The intro is almost like Shawn Phillips' 1970 " SECOND CONTRIBUTION" album cover...lol
J has always played teles, he said that for most of the recordings of solos he uses a tele instead of the jazzmaster and that the jazzmaster is for the gigs mostly
He plays with that tele and gibsons for rhythm
I dunno man, there's really obvious whammy bar abuse in the majority of his solos, which means no tele for many of them
A bit of LoFi thin in that middle position.
Enjoyable review as always, thanks 👍
Hell yes!! why not?
Can't cut my hair cause Cooper's is catching up to mine! Funny intro. Nice guitar! Coop's playing🤙🏼
Ha. Love that intro!

I may consider one from Alamo Music if it comes with 6 strands of Coopers hair ☺
What would be crazier ,would be getting your hands on six strands of Chris's hair 😂
What's the dc resistance of these pickups?

It looks so cool with the sparkle finish but out-of-phase for the middle position is just bizarre. Not a good sound IMO.

@@christocr great idea! Or go the whole hog and put a 4- way switch in too. You'd then have the coolest looking, most versatile Tele in the land

All you have to do is reverse one wire,
Two minute job.
I like the neck. Not so much the mirror, sound, bridge or price. Undecided about the color.
Quotes of the day "
" Over the years I've become use to more wood in my hands"
Middle position is wired out of phase on mine. Sounded like yours is too, but NOWHERE does fender mention it.
It’s literally in the description.
i wanna see myself playing this beast love 💝 #Fender #telecaster
That was a good joke!
Mexico - $1350 - that's inflation for you I guess...
I have baby hands so, I need a thinner neck.
You have more wood in your hand😆
Too expensive 😪 🤧
You’ve grown accustomed to more wood in your hand….. gayyyyyyyy!
Dad jokes.......*facepalm*
No. Just another Tele. And I really dislike people's signature models.
