Oh that Cherokee is sweet and the kiddo made a great trade with some of Dad's generosity. However a Honda four wheeler should run forever. Got any more Cherokees you would trade for a Honda 300 four tracks😁. Mine runs and drives just fine with new tires but it may or may not have bent lower a arms which makes for Armstrong steering. Your kids are extremely fortunate to have such a capable and caring father to teach them how to build their own vehicles!

It's things like this is why I watch you guys. And " Name that part with Michelle" is great. I have your channel listed on my " Channels Worth A Damn" list on my RUclips channel. GREAT Trade! You got a very nice 4-wheeler, and a Honda at that! (Like you said - It's a Honda - It'll always start.) You got your son something he wants, and at the same time something that'll be a GREAT vehicle for him. That makes you a winner all the way around. You know who's the biggest winner? Your whole family. Great family and friends are something irreplaceable.

You and your son remind me of me and my son a few years ago (we are both a few years older now, he is a COP), so watching this stuff with you two has been great. Thanks!
Oh, and your quad...I'll take it if you don't want it, lol. I had a Honda 350X three wheeler I road every chance I got. I loved riding, but got busy and didn't replace it though it has been in the back of thoughts ever since. I jumped it off a lip at Glamis, broke the frame, badly dented the gas tank, snapped off the handlebar next to the right grip then proceeded to sell it to my uncle who loves to Fix Or Repair Daily ha ha. My dad snapped a pic of my jump and I look at it with a smile on a regular basis. Family time and legends are born this way! I have great family to love, and I am a legend (in my own mind, hee hee) cause I jumped a three wheeler 90+ feet and survived with pictures to prove it. I completed life and the rest is butter on the bread. God's plan for me worked!
Keep making vids, you guys are good at it!

I don't know if you got the better end of that deal or not, but you did the right thing, and in the end, that's what really matters. You're a good dad. The world would be better off if we had more dads like you.

You read my mind there at the end...you got the "Dad" end of the deal, which is the best end of them all. Time with your sons...irreplaceable, precious time.

Great trade, you can never go wrong working with your Kids, I wish I would have had more time with my dad. He had a massive stroke when I was 6 and lost him when I was 17, He taught me a lot even with his stroke and lose of mobility, He came from a farming background and moved to the big city for work when the farm he leased failed. there was nothing he couldn't work on, or make work. He used to like when any of us kids would work on stuff in his garage, I think it made him proud that we learned not to be afraid take stuff apart and fix it even when we had to ask for his help figuring it out. You remind me of him, he was always busy, but had time for us when needed.Keep up take great work.

👍👍GREAT TRADE, Paul!! Like you said, you'll end up helping your son build up the Cherokee over the next couple years AND you got a quad out of it!!! Sounds like a WIN WIN situation to me!!! Time spent with family is all but gone in our current society!!! That's one reason I love watching your posts--you and Michelle are right there with each other and your kids....FAMILY STRONG ALL DAY LONG!!!❤❤

You nailed it with your last sentence of the video. You get to work on a project with another son..... more kids projects to come. What will the project be with your daughter? I hope a truck/wheeler etc. and she can help too. You said it right about how a farm wheeler gets taken care of... It is actually in pretty good shape for being a 2004 farm wheeler. Like how you said he will be driving in a couple years. AFTER he pull up in the shop in the truck. My 91 year old dad from Idaho said when he turned 14 he went down to the the DMV and got his license to make it legal. He grew up on a farm.

I think it was a good deal. Jace didn’t expect you to give him the Jeep for nothing. He thought it through and figured out a way that he thought was fair. He has natural talent for the hard sell.

Jace, I started with a 4 banger Cherokee, Norbert. I miss that one. Converted it from a tiny single barrel carb to a throttle body injection. I could drive from Denver to Grand junction on 1/2 of a tank. My 2 door XJ was a V6. The 4 banger had more torque though. Easy to convert to the I6 and you and Dad can build a stroker. Good times ahead for you both.

Those Honda atv's last forever, even when quite neglected, which is a testament to their engineering and build quality.
I have an '86 Fourtrax 350, which is the great-grandpa to that wheeler you got, and it runs like a top. It was originally my grandpa's fourwheeler and has been through him, my uncles, cousins, etc., and still runs like a top. It certainly isn't fast, but boy it makes a great rock crawler/ utility atv.
    Great video!

You nailed it with the last comment in the video. Dads dealing with their kids never come out ahead cause that is just not the way it works. You turn them into fine young gentlemen and that is as much as you can hope for. And it’s enough.

What a good dad. Brovo, say is the air pressure gauge in the steering cover still I have a 97 that came stock with it in there, was really shocked when I went to install my bar raiser from a Polaris, I'm 6'4" tall so the bar raiser was a requirement for stand up riding.

Amazing. I think you are going to come out good on this! At least you will be having fun. You got the better end! Front axles and swing arms are the weakest part on fourwheelers. Good to change them out. You've got a running machine! I know you will find other things to fix also.
