Are you running that DD-7 in front of the Player? Do you think results would improve by using the instrument level outs, going through time-based effects, then to a line isolater?
Great review!! Congrats. Very useful. I didn't end to understand if you were able to plug the Kemper Player straight to the Vooduoopower supply, like any 9v pedal, or if you needed to plug the Kemper power supply. Thanks a lot : )
The Kemper Two Switch or any two switch would fit perfectly under the Player on the board...if others are planning to use more Player FX and more player Bank's...basically gives you a Performance mode. Although, when Kemper activate the press two switch options, 1&2 and 2&3 that might be enough on its own.
What’s the difference between this and the Kemper Stage? Is this more geared toward people who mainly play with a computer nearby to adjust everything?
It has less FX, etc...which I'm sure will get added with updates.. Once you have your 50 favourite Profiles on your Player no need for a PC, just wirelessly control/edit/save using Bluetooth or WiFi using the App on your phone or tablet.
Sounds very nice but are all those pedals nessary? No offence meant and I repect you know your craft but am I genuinely missing the point somewhere. I use the Kemper rack, have done for the past 6 years and get all the sounds I want out of it on it's own without complicating things. What I don't understand is getting the compact Kemper player and then adding a load of extra effect pedals, cables, power supplies, case that then sort of defeats a compact setup, simpicity and price which I thought the player was all about. Is the Kemper player much more limited than the rack and not up to the job on its own or am I just a sort of a minimalistic player who dosn't like loads of complex pedals with too many vaiables tap dancing? I am not saying I am smarter or sound better but with all those pedals it's bigger than carting the rack unit and checking all those effect pedal dials that can easily be pushed out of position.
Has anybody had any powering issues when powering the Kepler player with your pedalboard? I’ve had. Nothing but issues powering it correctly on my pedalboard. I’ve even no if it an extra Cioks to power the pedal seperately and it’s still going on standby mode at times… I’m planning on returning t if it continues to not work. Any advice for anyone else who uses this profile player with a pedal and how you are powering it?
Can you put pedals into the front of the player and then use your monitor say left out to go into a 1/4 inch input of a zoom r20 for recording... Thank You for your consideration !
great vid! waiting til get player, only bummer about your pedal board for me is going to Europe/UK voodoo sply won't work, ill send ya pic of set up when I rock it
Kemper input behaves really well like a real amp. Being a clean fender profile I believe its a volume boost for solos, post distortion. In a crunchy/orverdriven profile the volume boost would be set after the kemper. Or set in one of the kemper player effect slots.
I have the Kemper Stage and was hoping to use the Kemper Player instead. Absolutely not. What a disappointment and a waste of money, time, and energy. I returned it to Sweetwater. The effects aren't there, you don't have all of your amp or cabinet controls, and there is no display to speak of beyond the lights indicating what profile you're on, but who knows what bank? Also, there's no morph function! If you've already got a Stage, forget it, and if you don't, get the ToneX. This was a terrible execution of what should have been and excellent idea, and is overpriced for what it does.
Mate you're supposed to used the player with midi control. It's for people who want to replace their amps with a digital option while retaining their FX. The Tonex is largely the same, if you want to lose it live you're going to need midi control to do it properly. I had the Tonex and sold it because it was the quality was pretty terrible, even loaded with great captures (Amalgam) and the software is atrocious.
So I've watched each of your Kemper Player videos and in each you've said you're going to show how it works on your phone but you never did. Can you please demo the Kemper Player on the iPhone. I'd love e to see how the interface looks / works on the iPhone. Thanks.

You should be at NAMM doing Kemper Player demos.
Set up is so compact and cool 😎

Great video, right on point! What power supply from voodoo labs are you using and what output?
Nice video. Sounds great direct. Is there a way to use the Player as an “effects only” pedal directly into a fender amp?
When playing direct, Do you find you need to adjust a high pass filter depending on the room you're in?
What was the power supply you used? I don't see anything by Voodoo that has another 12v plug available, but maybe I missed it?
It can take 9v as well
I love the board , but my personal taste I can't see zip-tie on pedalboards 😀. great content !!!
Best Kemper Player Review so far.
You are genuine kemper expert
know fully about Kemper and itd usage
Thanks for sharing with us
SO ..... That's going into a Computer ...... What about going into a AMP & Cab ( Not off stage Mixer & PA ) Just a Amp on Stage ?

I have been eyeing getting this product. Is there a way to split the XLR and get a stereo out from the XLR signal?

Can you do a review on that tone master pro
hey now. are all your pedals in front of the kemper? and not sure i understand the “boost” comment….before the kemper?

thanks…clean simple and practical…
