Yeaaaahhh big thanks for this really nice review haha… This is EXACTLY the reaction we want when people ride this kit… INSANE POWEEEEERRR haha… Okay let me make some notes: 8:10 it’s an electronic freewheel feature to reduce motor drag at low speed so the bike naturally rolls like a MTB. The controller injects a small current to overcome motor cog BUT it scared some people testing the bike on the stand (unloaded) for the first time so we disabled that on the latest controllers we shipped, can be enabled when we release the EBMX app. I noticed that you’re a “wheelie guy” so the good news is that the EBMX app will allow you to adjust the throttle reaction time and remove any throttle lag, can make even faster throttle response but then sometimes it feels really hard on the belt in some scenarios but you’ll be able to adjust and make it perfect for your riding style. Throttle ramp can be used to improve traction on lose ground like sand or gravel, you’ll see how cool when you get the app. When set to 5 power levels, level 4 and 5 are pretty much “designed to kill” even experienced riders… they ALWAYS come back like: “WOOOWW.. I wasn’t expect that much power, this is INSAAANE!”
@@Pepito_sanchez7 Yes, the 72v is a 42 amp hour battery vs the stock 60v 32 amp hour. I used to get around 13 miles riding tight single track. Now im getting around 22miles. People ask a lot about range. What they don't realize is that the type of riding they're doing greatly affects range. I ride single track that is usually tight and low speed with bursts to climb steep hills. if you're riding street wide open you will probably get considerably less, but if you ride street at moderate speeds you might double my results. Also of note is that my group uses a mix of Ebmx 60v and 72v batteries with many different controllers and tunes and we all usually finish within a few percentage points of each other.
@@sur_ron_crash_test_dummy Hello, Thank you very much for your answer. Indeed, I see a lot of range test on the road, which for me is a bit of a waste considering the monster that the Surron can be in offroad. Considering the price of the upgrade, it's cool to have opinions from the "real world" and I thank you for that! In stock, I drive about 1h 1h30. I don't really look at the kms or miles but, as I see it, in stock I would drive one or two hours more ahah And I completely agree that, the range is a " indicative ", between temperature, weight, equipment, setup etc.. Thank you and have a good weekend
@@sur_ron_crash_test_dummy True, I've built lots of ebikes and I've found on the street you can get one mile per amp hour if you hang around 20mph and don't go mad, then if you want to go full beans on sand you can get 10 miles and flatten a suron in 30mins.

1st charge, 100th charge, 2000th charge, doesnt matter. Charge how you want makes no difference. Thats the beautiful thing with EVs, they dont care what you do.
thanks for the review, too bad they're all sold out right now....Can you use the race Spec seat with this battery? Also, how does this compare to stock battery range?
Great video. Just what I wanted to see. I just got got mine, trying to fit it into the frame. I guess I can't tune my controller until I can hook up Xion where I got my Bac4000. Can I just plug in and operate without changing my tune ? I can't get a straight answer from anyone . Cheers
The motor won't mind assuming its temperatures are kept in check. Drivetrain might wear a bit faster but replacing a chain or sprocket after five years is not a big deal. Power electronics will likely remain unaffected as long as their temperatures are reasonable, although your capacitors could fail sooner than usual.
hi,can you do an up date on the ebmx battery and controller now you have some hours with it.any issues or things you not happy with.look to purchase both so info would be great before committing.thanx Lee
Hey man can I ask a question is that controller a ebmx? If so if you turned your bike on but not the screen will it still run? Not that I have brought a controller which apparently needs a screen in order to run? Thank you.
i cant get my battery to fit all the way down like you had trouble with in the vid so now my lid wont close and i cant ride. do you have any tips to get it in
you would have to go with a different dealer for a diferent display as far as I know once these come from asi to the dealer they are locked up and u cant get into them. If u want more info on these lmk i can tell you the real story what i know about these
72V with a large sprocket can be comparable in range to the 60v and a smaller rear sprocket. At 72v the motor runs cooler and is more efficient, the downside is reduced torque however that can be compensated with a larger sprocket
I have been looking at these but for the price why would you not want a Honda CRF250L? More power never run out of charge, faster, legal on the street and can actually do the dirt better. When they crack down you're going to be screwed on the streets. Most cities thousand-watt maximum and 20 miles an hour.
Someone cut me off him him going 35 ,I'm lucky to be alive. Front end gone but the rest of the bike no damage. Tough ebike. Wear gear.helmet boots gloves .armor.

Is the battery connection piece the same as the sorron adapter
So you buy a motorcycle then have replace almost every major component ? Why don’t they just sell them already upgraded ?
Price, hardly anyone would buy one for $14000 Aud. A lot of people buy them for $6000 though and incrementally do them up if they feel it’s worth it.
EBMX do sell fully upgraded new with warranty
