Part 2 came up almost 1 hour long, I tried to compress as much information as I can, I hope I didn't miss much. Please note that in this guide I decided to emphasize on Taeyang a little more as he was the 1st member to do a solo, and also his solo means a lot to me, as I discovered BIGBANG through seeing him so much on my TV back in 2008. Also, he became a solid foundation on which other members could feel confident when they did solos.
I don't own any of the videos or photos. All videos and photos have been downloaded from RUclips, Twitter,Vkontakte, and Dailymotion, and my flashdrive. As well as all information has been taken from my "13 year VIP memory", Wikipedia, bigbangwordpress, VIP's Twitter threads and bbvipchanel.

What amazes me is they are so different when you see them with thier individual projects. But they also work so well together. You just cant deny their individual artistry! Yay! Another work of art. Love the extra focus on each of them as solo artists. Before I knew BigBang, I knew Top. Then, when I started catching up on BigBang as a whole, I found The Almighty Panda. LOL Seungri instantly ended EVERYONE else's chances of being my number 1. These guys have been the soundtrack to my life ever since.

I became fan 4 years ago before that I listened to kpop here and there. And one of person who kind of annoyed with kpop and considered myself not a kpop fan until I dive into Bigbang. Bigbang is just another level.

I first encounter BigBang in a TV shop one of the TV there is playing their Fantastic Baby Live Performance that was 2012, I don't know kPop then. Then fast forward 2021 I knew kPop but never been interested. Until October last year I watched their Mama 2015 performance and I been hooked. Now I also stan their Hoobaes Winner, iKON and Treasure.

Taeyang might not be my bias in BB (coz GD's charisma, especially in stage, always calling me) but definitely his songs are my favorite to listen to such as Only Look At Me, Weddings Dress, 1AM, Don't Wake Me Up, and Darling. 🥰

Same.. Before I knew Bigbang, I first discovered Taeyang in RUclips with his song I Need A Girl.. From then his rendition of Cracks of A Broken Heart, of course Wedding Dress and Only Look At Me.. My first love, then I met Bigbang..

It always makes me sad, how people can easily say, "just die" to others. Your words have power. It can hurt, heal and sometimes even kill as we have all seen after all the suicides in SK. I'm just grateful that GD had a good support system emotionally through his friends and family. I'm grateful he was able to overcome such malicious intent towards his person.

This is awesome work - Funny cause I didn't know BB - I heard Bang Bang Bang when it came out and didn't like it - I didn't like raggae , either but here I am loving both... Anyway, I knew G Dragon because of CL' s Baddest Female... And, people were talking about the guy in red wig... I usually don't do deep dives of anyone when appearing in videos but I did for him... And, been stuck ever since...
I really loved this, from their group activities in part 1 to their Solo's wonderful thanks. I cant wait for Part 3 are we doing 2012 - 201????? group and Solo as so much happened in those 3 years too..........

I wish Taeyang got a bit more credit w/ the Hallyu Wave during the "Wedding Dress" era. I know Big Bang gets a ton of credit from older K-Pop fans but I think some fans would be surprised to know that "Wedding Dress" made a bit of a splash overseas in the U.S. No, it was not on the level of Wonder Girls' "Nobody" and for darn sure wasn't the same as PSY's "Gangnam Style". He wasn't talked about like Rain was (remember when Stephen Colbert started a war w/ Rain from 2007-2008?). However, if some of you were old enough, you'd remember people doing dance covers, piano covers, song covers, and even ENG versions of "Wedding Dress". You simply had to be there. It was a precious time in K-Pop history in the West bc there weren't even RUclipsrs back in the day who'd regularly do reactions, dance covers, song covers, etc. yet.

First time I know there was a petition asking GD to suicide,
Seriously, all I can think is "what kind of monsters are they?"
I can't even think like that to a criminal, in my opinion, asking people who didn't want to die, to suicide is more cruel than death sentence,
It was my 2nd year in K-pop, and it was era that we (fans) can connect to each other only through fan sites or tumblr posts (no social media was used that much as of now), so the whole story very unknown. My view of K-pop changed drastically then, and also in next year there were “scandal” with Tablo and whole stupid accusations of his “ Stanford degree” these two “scandals” were the biggest wake up call.
Also JiYong changed drastically after that year, so it is very painful and traumatic memory to all of us VIPs, so I was very hesitant to share it but I decided to stay unbiased as possible when was making these guides.
I wanna say there’s a lot I don’t know…..but there isn’t. Everything I’ve seen, I was growing up obsessing over them.
I’m happy to say nothing is surprising to me here. Maybe we need something only dedicated to Japanese info because that was always the hardest for me to follow 😭 Japan was so tight lipped I couldn’t get anything from them in 2008-2016

I had forgotten about the "Heartbreaker" plagiarism scandal. But I will say, people are stupid. If you listen to both "Right Round" and "Heartbreaker" back to back, the beats, flow and melody are all different.

I remembered reading about GD's issue back in 2009 and watched interviews of him and guesting in Strong Heart, I said to myself, "Were Koreans cruel?" 😅 It's too shallow to wish for someone's death. I find it stupid and cared less about it. But indeed it took a toll on GD and eventually tamed him down and later became elusive.
