  • In this video, the family and I drive (or ride rather) from our hotel in Nashville to a coffee shop about 30 minutes away to meet a friend of ours who lives there, before we headed home. This was only the second drive with the new FSD v13.2.1 update on the Cybertruck, and it was amazing! Version 12 was such a breakthrough that it has been hard to get excited about the smaller point releases since then, but v13 is another big jump. It is already so good, that the amount of changes are less and less, but some of the issues that have lingered (mainly talking about the speed regulation issue, where it keeps wanting to go slower when you turn onto a new road that it hasn't seen a speed limit sign for yet) has been resolved with this update, which while it seems small, is a huge deal. Since this video was recorded, I have driven my normal work commute route and confirmed that the places it used to struggle with the correct speed, it no longer does. I am convinced now more than ever that Tesla will solve autonomy, and I think it will happen sooner rather than later. Now it really is about scaling up their training compute (which they are already doing on a massive scale) so it can learn about as many edge cases as possible, which will continue to make it safer than a human driver, and degree to which that is true will only increase over time.
