Phabulous Phantoms Ep.1 - On base at Andravida for Phancon '22 with the Hellenic Air Force F-4 [4K]

This is another one of those trips that I'll never forget. An unbelievable, unforgettable two days getting intimate with the Greek F-4 Phantoms of 338 Mira.
Normally in Greece, filming or photographing military aircraft is a very, very bad idea. At best such activity will cost you an unpleasant visit from military police, at worst it could land you in prison. However, we were invited on base at Andravida by 338 squadron, and it was a very special two days indeed.
Phancon '22 was organised by the F-4 Society and we joined a small group of F-4 enthusiasts with Rich Cooper and the Centre Of Aviation Photography (COAP). It was a very special trip with some excellent people and these very special aircraft.

I was 8 in 1968 my uncle Jack flew the F4 in Vietnam, I was in awe of the photos of him in his flight suit next to his jet, he made it back and I was lucky enough to spend time with him after the war, we'd play catch but I'd never asked him about the war and he never talked about it, thank you to all who served and who serve today.🙏🇺🇸

Excelent video, make as many as you can on F4 because they will not be there for long. HAF's F4 are probably the best F4 ever flown, a true multirole aircraft that can take many missions.

Interesting. Is that because you worry about the tech falling into the wrong hands? US military innovations generates a lot of revenue for the taxpayers pocket though? Our own RAF now operate F-35, C-17, T-6 Texan, RC-135, P-8 and used to operate F-4s, C-130s amongst many other types, including CH-47, AH-64s and so on.
