The first time I'll admit this, the remake better than the original. I imagine that's due to my personal taste in music being a good ol boy from Texas. Dwight Yoakam did this song also, if you like this version check Dwight's out you ought to like it. Nothing but the upmost respect and love to the deceased Prince
Came full circle, Prince originally wrote Purple Rain as a country song and asked Stevie Nicks to sing it. She rejected the song and the rest is history.
