  • To maintain my mental health and well-being I found gardening as a way to keep myself occupied.
This year I transitioned my Summer Garden into my Winter Garden and built a cold frame for growing plants. Learn how I built a cold frame over mt raised garden bed.
I partnered with Troy-Bilt as part of its #FenceTalks series to share tips on winter gardening for mental wellness
When we're feeling down, sometimes the best way to cope is to get outside and do some gardening. Research shows that there are mental health benefits to gardening, from reducing stress and anxiety to improving moods.

I am so proud of what a hard working woman/mother you are. You don't let anything hold you back and you do a top notch job and it always looks great. I definitely plan to have a raised garden this year and you have given me the ideas on how to do it. Thank you. You are so right about media and negative people wanting to pull us down in our thoughts. Bless you for being such an encourager and wanting to help others in their mental health.

Thank you for sharing this, sometimes its difficult to be candid about things that are personal. Bless you and pray that the garden turns out great, I am excited about this because this would be a good build for succulents in cold weather as well. Love your work. Blessings🙏🏽

Love this project! Maybe next year... No need to till a raised bed though; you can treat it as a no-dig space and roots, etc will decompose in the soil, adding nutrients back into the soil.

So needed In my back yard for early planting and later fall I planted a few veggies first time in Jun 2021 and was so excited to watch them grow they did well bought them from store didn't want to be overwhelmed so I just grew 3 items in a raised metal container cause have groundhogs 😳 this season I plan to put something in the ground and having the bed with the sides and cover will help I'm excited to get started 😊 thank you so much for sharing... I'm also going to build wood square boxes for front yard no more flower pots I have had thieves come over the years including last year and take my pots 😠😠 ...
to many tree roots to dig in ground so will build box and paint them enjoy your beautiful outside home
