Record labels aren't going to invest and lose money on an individual only cause their voice sounds good. As they are in business to make money and if there is no money to be had, then they are going to forgo that investment and instead invest it in another individual who will make them money. Sounds evil. However, it's just common sense. As you and everybody else would do the same thing under the same circumstances. Just be happy that she got a bigger shot than most people ever do and unfortunately for her, it was not what the majority of the market place out there cared to listen to.

Season 12 was rigged. It was rigged by the producers so only a female could win. Which is why all the male contestants got voted off the show before even the first female was ever voted off the show. So the winner of season 12 is not even a legitimate winner. She is a winner of a rigged show.

I remember the first time I saw/heard this performance. I was still healing from a break up with my childhood love. The girl he chose came from a better life and a financially well off family. The way she sang this song, spoke to how badly I wanted him to know, that even though I didn't have all those things, I loved him with everything I had. Her performance literally bought me to tears. Godamn this is what it means to sing your heart out. I love how she made this song her own. I stopped watching American Idol after the first couple of seasons. This kept coming up in my recommended after playing the Tom Jones version and I just now clicked out of curiosity and am blown away.
Then why was she wearing long pants and looked like she never been with a man before, let alone spurned by one? As she couldn't have been anymore disconnected from that song. Doesn't a song have to be believable to be flawless? Nothing about that performance is believable. In fact, it is absolutely atrocious.
