Thanks mate. Your beautiful truck is as long as one of our Australian Road Trains, on its own! I'll bet your son can't wait to drive it as well. 🇦🇺😀👍 PS. Your neck of the woods seems peaceful and pleasant.
Be happy the paint is faded on that long nose hood. I've driven on a southbound highway in the daytime and had the sun in my eyes the entire time. Now you can put down the sun visor but that won't block the second sun shining off your nice clean hood. If it was my hood I'd paint it flat black on top there. Nice truck!
I had one that could have almost been a twin to this one. W924, 12v71 with straight pipes and 525 hp on the ground (due to custom injectors), 15 speed and no power steering! Rebuilt the engine 3 times before I finally sold it. I can't hear very well but I can still hear that dozen buzzin in my head! lol
You don't need "custom injectors" to make 525hp with a 12. NON - Marine units with twin turbocharging, From the Factory, could be had with up to 775 hp, and 925 hp for 100 ton mining haul trucks, "back in the day". The Last V12 (Series 71) to come off the assembly line in 1995, was rated at 660 hp for Platform work in the oil fields. Real, hand built "Custom" Injectors and a load of other "tricks" at 4200 rpm, yielded our "Pro - Semi" sled puller, 2500+ hp... back in the 1990's.
