I think I’ve seen other videos where extra power for ssd’s is provided by a power bank connected into the USB adapter lightning port
Also drives plugged into an external drive dock with its one power supply from the wall seemed to work from memory

Logitech Slim Folio does not need to be charged! It is powered by a lithium battery that has a life span of approximately 4 years (so they say). I have one for my iPad6 and been using it for a month for almost everyday and it's still at 100%. It has been great so far!

U can use an external hardrive you just have to connect strong enough power source to support it but you are correct most will still not support because of the Apple lightning

To connect an external ssd you need power , after that work very well
I have had luck using a usb powered hub along with the lightning to usb adaptor in order to connect a hard drive or a thumb drive with no problems so far.

I have a doubt regarding the keyboard selection.Smart keyboard do comes with a smart connectivity while the Bluetooth keyboard doesn't.Those need to be charged and used.I have a concern that,while using the Bluetooth keyboard,the Bluetooth has to be turned on in the iPad whole time for the connection right....so that may increase the power consumption and thereby reduce the stand up time ..What do you suggest ,should I go for the costly smart apple keyboard or a Bluetooth enabled one

A Bluetooth keyboard does requite a bit more power of course, but not much. If you're using at mostly at home, I would get a full-size Bluetooth keyboard (like Logitech K380 or similar). If you're traveling a lot, the Smart Keyboard Folio is much more convenient and I think it's worth it if you use it a lot. Otherwise the Logitech Keys-To-Go are another cheaper alternative for a travel keyboard.

You don’t need an iPad Pro, you just need a self powered USB hub. With that you can connect as many things as you’d like.

Hi, great review. I have a question about the behaviour of the K380. Every time i select a text field on the Ipad in different apps the onscreen keyboard of the ipad pops up and I have to minimize it every time i select a new text field. I could not find any solution so far. Like an option: like always Hide onscreen keyboard. I work a lot with forms in safari and in each textfield i have to minimize the onscreen keyboard manually. Do you have the same issue? Thank you for your answer.

Keyboards with the smart connector don't have to be charged separately and you save some energy because you don't have to keep Bluetooth running.

You can try i think it will as long as it has a smart connector+ the tablet is a bit longer on the keyboard if you dont mind.

I live in Germany (I am German) and I don’t have an German accent when I speak English, thankfully. Because my Dad is American and the first language I learned was English, so I’m good. But the German accent when other people speak English annoys me too.
