Jeff, I owe you everything I have! Your videos have inspired me to start flight school and I am on track to have my pilots license soon! Keep up the fantastic work!
Hey Jeff, a little information on constant speed propeller systems for ya. The prop gets checked three times during run up for a few reasons. The first cycle is to check for RPM drop. The second is for oil pressure drop. The third is for manifold pressure increase. Cycling the prop is also to move warm oil from the crankcase to the propeller hub. Just be cautious not to keep a high manifold pressure and low Rpm for too long as it can damage cylinders. In the Diamond I fly everything happens pretty quick and listening to the propeller sound is a big key. It all goes back to the DC-3 days to my knowledge.
I have had the pleasure of flying this (TB20/21) during my career and it's a wonderful aircraft. Things like the flap balloon in most small AC is normal and you learn to lead it. This AC uses push rods as compared to Cessnas that use cables for flight controls. This makes it very accurate in all axis of flight, like a sports car really and much less vague due to cable stretch caused by temperature variations. It is French and has a few quirks, but built by Socata, a part of Airbus. So they know a bit about aero, flight control systems and design. They were the designers of the Arthur Q system (Falcon 10, 20 etc.) which was the basis for Fly by wire seen today in all but the first Airbus. As someone mentioned the air loads on the prop during a governor check are extreme, but the main purpose is to get heat oil into the hub to insure correct actuation of the hub. Mag check most efficient check is left- both- right- both leaving no lingering on single right mag. I was surprised that you took off without comparing DG and compass which were 30 degrees mismatched. I did notice in the YT clip there seemed to be a frame stutter throughout and you may want to review it. I thought it might be Track IR related. watch any 3 -5 minute segment and it's visible. II still have my AFM for the TB20 and it's available for you if you have a question. As always your content is great I always enjoy your streams and content. All the Best Robert ATP, CL-60, CE -500-750, IAI1125 and few more.
The TB10 Tobago was a great aircraft to train on. TAS of 120 kts, which makes VFR cross country navigation easy for new student pilots. 2 miles per minute in nil wind. It was very spacious and easy to fly, highly recommend flying the TB10 in real life..
Thanks Jeff. You’ve gotta luv TrackIR. I’ve been using it for about 10yrs. I use the Rift these days for VR but still use TrackIR if I do a non VR flight. It was the closest thing to VR for me for many years and once when I “blew it up” with a spike in our electricity, I had to buy another one as flying wasn’t the same without it. I must say though that TrackIR in XPlane is less reliable than for FSX and P3d - very erratic in head movement.
Jeff,I know this is off topic but I think I found the fix for American Truck Simulator, when you are setting mirrors, lights and seat . What I do is put the truck in neutral and it won't kill the engine.

Lol Jeff aye I forgot to turn my alt on for my Commercial multi check ride the DPE was at least happy I paid attention to the amp meter and the light before I begin to taxi. happens to the best of us.
Anyone else experience virtual whiplash coming from one of Jeff's GTA videos to ones like this? When you pulled up on the ramp at Orlando I half expected some thug to smash into your Socata driving a Vapid Contender.
Hey Jeff, nice video, there is a way using the lil'button set (same set that door open etc) to switch left seat altimeter from MB to HG inches mercury....took me a bit to find it...
Hi Jeff. Your personal preference: this one or the Just Flight PA-28R Arrow III? Also, does the "Just Flight system" (so to speak) make the aircraft "your own" like it seems REP does, to any extent? Thank you!
Chris you wanna tell me that doing a checklist before take off and checking that the plane is all ready for take off is not a part of the roleplay because as far as I know this game wouldn't randomly generate a system failure mid flight right?
Hey Jeff I love your vids along with Buggs, Polecat324, and Zach, plus al the other people you play with. I’ve subbed, turned on notifications, and liked the vid, I also did the same to buggs, and Polecat324. Anyway I love you, Bay Area Buggs, Polecat324, and Zach Houseknect... if that’s how you spell it.
Might be tricky where Jeff lives IRL/AFK: = Florida. Highest "peak": Britton Hill, 345 feet (105 m) ASL. Not much like Tenzing-Hillary International, Lukla, Nepal = World's "Most Dangerous" commercial airport, (actually quite safe, but thrilling) at 9,334 ft (2,845 m) ASL, only 1,729 ft long, with a slope of almost 12%, mountain wall at stop end, cliff off the other, plus extreme weather.
Can anyone help me? When I try to start xplane it just sits on the will initialize plugins screen and I'm not sure how to fix it. Tryed deleting things in output/preferences and verified integrity of game catche.
As an American, French planes remind me of French cars. They draw you in, (Citroen SM anyone?) then confuse you with their weirdness. Perhaps in effort to bother "English people" like me. My ill-informed pet-theory is that British English speakers intentionally pronounce French words completely wrong in response.
WTF is that??!!?? 42$ for a plane mod? 70$ for a Weather mod?? It seems normal for you guys? In video games industries we critics the fact we always pay DLC etc etc... And here we can get some MODS for the price of the whole game! Exemple: In Assetto Corsa, we pay a DLC (official) 8$ for 8 cars and 1 new circuit (2 layouts). Here we pay 42$ for a fucking mod of a simple plane! I like this game, but omg this is insane, wake up guys!
XxKidnoffxX yeah but there's a few key differences. 1) these airplanes and various add-ons aren't made by the same company that puts out the main simulator. The company that makes X-plane gets 60 bucks from you and that's it. After that if you want to buy an airplane like this you're paying a totally separate entity. 2) in this case we are paying for things we actually want, rather than being forced to buy DLC to give you a competitive edge in another game. 3) the amount of work that goes into making add-ons for flight simulators is massive. This isn't just a map pack for black ops or a new skin crate for csgo. This is an airplane whose systems are modeled to such a level of realism that you could probably learn how to fly the real thing to a certain extent. 4) not buying this doesn't kill your experience. If you wanna pay 60 bucks for a this sim and leave it like it is, that's totally okay.
Cars and Planes is different too Cars addon you just make the model and the texture and put the engine sounds and handeling but Planes every buttons matter so it takes lot of work.
The buttons animation is very basic and just work like a shortcut key by the way. Maybe it look impressive, but welcome to 2018... And it's not the point, I mean, look the price man...I have the money, it's not the problem, the problem is : how the hell we can pay so much for that? It's the only game you ever play or what? We can get a lot of games cheaper than this mod... And some mods totally change their games (look like oblivion mod for Skyrim for exemple, thousand and thousand hours of work), totally free, all mods are free everywhere (with optional donation of course). But here we get a simple plane : 42$. It's normal because the game is a simulation... The mod use the game engine too. It's not so different than a car addon.
XxKidnoffxX Yeah i know but you are talking about different games but if you want more cheaper planes games just buy FSX or Flight gear which is free ecept for FSX i know X-plane 11 it’s expensive but people want it they buy it

Thanks man :)

That is awesome to here man!
Nice video buddy. Bought it just now. I fly the Orlando Tampa route all the time.
I own a TB10, very cool that you used this model

Trinidad and Tobago in the house
Which TrackIR profile did you use? Very smooth.
The one labeled Flying, it's from Squirrels profiles
hey Jeff, you should have a crack at the Avro Lancaster - you wont be dissapointed !
About the prop check, actually,we don't keep it in full backward so long time for checking,it will stress the engine too much to damage it
Hey Jeff will you ever do flights in the Caribbean. If you do can you do a flight to St. Vincent in the Caribbean. Love the videos
Anyone else experience virtual whiplash coming from one of Jeff's GTA videos to ones like this? When you pulled up on the ramp at Orlando I half expected some thug to smash into your Socata driving a Vapid Contender.
Ehy big up Trinidad 🇹🇹🇹🇹
I haven’t watched the whole thing yet but I’m sure it’s a great video!
Hey man, if u feel like getting back in the FeelThere erj 175/195, could u do a tutorial on dialing in a step climb?
Keep up the good videos

THANK YOU

Also, does the "Just Flight system" (so to speak) make the aircraft "your own" like it seems REP does, to any extent?
Thank you!
This is quite enjoyable to watch especially the fact that you roleplayed the whole thing xD
TheToxicHackER he didn’t role play anything that’s just how you fly a plane
Chris you wanna tell me that doing a checklist before take off and checking that the plane is all ready for take off is not a part of the roleplay because as far as I know this game wouldn't randomly generate a system failure mid flight right?
TheToxicHackER X-Plane can generate random failures if enabled
Not doing american trucking sim anymore?
Nope never again, it’s only been a few days
Is there a A380 plane in this game, Because if there is, Will Jeff ever use it?
the only one available is not very good, not worth the money imo
Jeff Favignano ok thanks man I should take a look at it.
Hey Jeff!! Ur awesome bro! Keep up the good work ur channel is awesome!

I love this game so much
Hi jeff, awesome video
Mountain flying would be very cool if you could do that.
Mark Miller yeah, of course. I said a mountain not a hill. He doesn't have to fly in Florida for the rest of his life.
Kidding a bit, and added a suggestion.
Are you gonna do a video with the new JustFlight Daytona scenery?
Could u try to fly not in the Florida or California area...I don’t know much about the scenery but that would be great, nice vids
I love your video
Nice plane
Dude, if you don’t know the exact pressure, you set the altimeter so it shows the field elevation.
mhm, I didn't have that information handy so I just winged it.
Hay Jeff! When will OCRP receive unmarked police cars?
Cool vids bro
Great vid
I Learned how to fly in a Tobago in that colour scheme!
Hi Jeff
Can anyone help me? When I try to start xplane it just sits on the will initialize plugins screen and I'm not sure how to fix it. Tryed deleting things in output/preferences and verified integrity of game catche.
Thomas Gaither if you have a slow computer, sadly that’s the killer.
Thomas, I believe there is an error log in the main x-plane directory. Or maybe a subdir.
Figured it out, any plugins I had in before the update cause it to get stuck on will initialize plugins. When I remove them it works fine.
Wassup jeff
You just name a country. About 3 hours and 3minutes south of Miami. Trinidad and Tobago.
Nice flying mate
What up jeff
Are you AirWolf69?
The plane I learned to fly in was a piper Cherokee
I bet Jeff could fly a real aeroplane
IDIOTS DELIGHT, considering Jeff has a pilots license I'm going to go out on a limb and say yes.
As mentioned above, he has.
Lol Trinindad and Tobago, my country!
Same Here...Dais Why I Click D Vid😂😂
Boy they way this man say Tobago 😂
you always pick the ugliest little planes Jeff hahaha. love it
Pronounced "tah-baygo" :-) Other than that...I'm a huge fan of your channel! Keep it up!
Do another sea of thieves episode
Can you fly ryan air next?
First because it won't matter in a week
Before you freak out i know this is not lspdfr but Jeff will you make a video of how to install lspdfr
He will not. How hard is it to look up? There are many of other videos that show you how to. How lazy can you be?
Calm down
What weather mod do you use?
Hey Jeff you forgot to put your yoke back in
Patrick Smith yeah exactly
Trinidad and to-bae-go not toe-bah-go
KingDish - we Americans pronounce it like that
Trinidad and tobago planes.:P Just what xplane needs.
GOOD
how does Track IR work?
The Nuclear Brony it tracks your head position using a small ir tracker you put on your cap.
Oh shit. I need to get me one of those lol

Is this VR compatible?
yes. Very nice.

UXUBaron I think he does have a civ license but its not a job for him
Yeah he has a private license (but not for a career)
First like it cares hahahahaha I need a life
