    Will these fit a 2021 800 ex?

A friend of mine bought a lift like that for his Polaris Ace.
Suspension got too stiff and it also ate suspension travel. Not a pleasant ride after that. He was always complaining of the rough ride.
Putting spring spacers in the struts can remove suspension travel that you need off road.
This makes your wheels more likely to loose contact with the ground both at high speed bumpy roads and on slow technical stuff when climbing something because it doesn't articulates as good. 2 inch lift -> and wheel 2 inches of the ground.
If you can't build yourself a simple lift kit that relocates the mounting points(super easy!) then buy a REAL lift kit.
This is the worst kind of lift. Ever.
    Made for show rooms.

After all those ratchet straps, just buy the dang spring compressor.

That lift is an absolutely horrible lift! All its doing is increasing the spring preload and will make it ride worse/stiffer. A good lift would be brackets to relocate the shocks mounting point. That would lift the vehicle while retaining the correct spring rate/preload. No way i would ever put that on at all.

It's actually not as bad as you might expect. I agree that a bracket lift would be a better option, but this doesn't kill the ride quality as much as I originally anticipated.
The most noticeable loss is the decrease in downward travel as opposed to a stiffer ride since the springs are compressed and the shocks are extended.

+Jason I have to ask. Why did you get rid of the CF Moto?

+Chad Shumaker When I was first in the SxS market I was looking at either a ZForce 800 EX or a RZR S 900 (both EPS models). I opted for the CF Moto because of the price point. I never had any mechanical issues with the CF Moto, but it lacked some refinements that the RZR has. The ZForce is a very capable machine especially for the money. However, a friend of mine bought a 900S after I bought the ZForce and I rode his and it just does everything a little bit better. I listed my ZForce for sale and got an offer that I couldn’t refuse so I went through with the sale and got a 900S.
The areas of improvement from the ZForce to the RZR that I like the most are:
      1. Maintenance is a lot easier on the RZR (air and oil filter access is easier in addition to the oil fill hole).
      2. The ergonomics are much more comfortable in the RZR (more reclined seat position that feels “in” the machine and the legroom/pedal positioning is much more comfortable).
      3. The suspension geometry on the RZR is the best available, in my opinion. I noticed it even more than the power improvement when I switched.

Looks good for a Chinese machine. Are they reliable?

+rugby yea I never had any issues. When buying them you want to change the factory air filter to an R2C or a UNI filter and go over all suspension bolts to make sure they're torqued correctly, but they're solid machines in terms of reliability. Check out www.cfmoto-forum.com if you'd like a ton of information about them.

Looks good and the warrantys are the best out there. My 500 has 4 years

a spring compressor is not expensive

Hey, do you still own your CFMoto? If so, what’s your thoughts on it’s after all these years?

BotaArt no I actually have a RZR XP1K now so I can’t say.

there is no way in hell it lifts the machine because the shock only goes down so far before it bottoms out its a gimmick either it has to be a longer shock or make a relocation kit for the brackets

    • @A11ium
      @A11ium 6 лет назад

Neutral position in the shock is changed. It rests closer to the max length now so the machine sits higher by default.
But you are right. The wheel won't come down as far anymore.
I heard the deluxe version of this lift replaces the spring with a steel tube! Ingenious!
Simple, light, durable and incredible ground clearance. Especially over bumps!
And in the working is to replace the strut altogether. Maybe CFMOTO will have those machines out soon.
      Like zero body roll.

Mark Klein you somewhat explained exactly how it works. It's just a spring spacer and it extends the shock. It doesn't bottom the shock out to full extension, but it does reduce the amount of downward travel.
So you're incorrect in saying it doesn't lift the machine. It certainly doesn't function as a traditional lift kit, but it does improve ground clearance at the expense of some ride quality.
