I use an M1101 trailer for hauling firewood out of the national forest. It's about the same size but has a #4800 load capacity which is great for hauling a full cord of green firewood. Military trailers are hard to beat if you need a really heavy duty unit.
I put a Miller trail blazer and torch on a skid that I bolt in mine. I use an excavator and chain up to the d rings so I can get the trailer where my truck can’t. Main use is on pond spill pipes.
Nice video. Congrats on a beautiful army cargo trailer. I bought an M101A3 from Nellis AF base in NV years ago. It looked similar to yours but army green. With a tarpaulin top. 100% water proof. Took it camping all over the western US. Always got quite a few compliments everywhere I went. For electrical, you can change the bulbs to 12v-these are wired for 24v, so wires don’t need to be changed. You just need to make your own adapter. I had to part ways with it when I was selling my house and needed to de clutter 😢 for staging the house. Planning on another one. So nice to have something that is built to last through a war 😁. Mine had run flat tires (Kevlar with a metal ring allowing trailer to be towed, even if tires were punctured. Each tire prob cost more than what I paid for entire trailer. lol.
The cargo capacity is 3/4 ton off-road. On road, as with all military vehicles, load capacity is double, so ur trailer can carry 1.5 tons. Actually, it will carry more, as when I was pulling one, it had 2 each 5kw generators, a underbody 20 gallon fuel tank, plus can brackets for 6 each 5 gallon fuel cans. Don't remember what each generator weighed, but it took a minimum of 3 strong guys to lift and carry, but 4 was better. Plus, the switch box,, then the 350lbs of fuel, plus the can weight, the weight of the canvas tarp and bows, and that was carried off road. Not to mention, we always had a camo net on top of the tarp. So, don't worry about load weight. Just watch tire capacity

M116 and M101 use the same frame/axle etc. I have an M116A2, it has the flatbed on it instead of the M101 tub or walled bed. (I was looking specifically for a flatbed) And it was originally a generator trailer. I have an M416 (had two, traded one for an M1101) and two M762's as well. M762 is flatbed version of M416, same idea as M116/M101. Same frame, axle, wheels, etc. but a flatbed instead of a "tub" bed.

What did you do for tail light adapter/harness etc? Thanks!

Cool stuff! Im trying to keep up on all your content releases. A lot of it I watched when it was new, but still some gems I haven't seen!
We've routinely hauled 2 1/2 tons on 3/4 ton pickups.
Thanks for all the info. Especially the bed measurements 👍
Thank goodness! I've missed you!

They pick them up in helo's, and parachute them off aircraft. Tie them down etc.
Did you sell the frame yet?

Whats the overall weight of it with the tub?
M101's are ~1,340lbs.
Military vehicles are COMBAT rated. If you're using it under NORMAL use, 2X military weight rating safely.
"And what not"
I hate that fucking phrase.........
