Those old Remington saws deserve respect. They were very Homelite like in a lot of ways. But during that era, copying the best features of the best saws was the only way to go unless you had som really out of the box forward thinking engineers working for your company. Its obvious the Japanese and European saw engineers eventually won the chainsaw wars by the mid to late 70s.

I agree that there isnt anything quite like the smoke from a 32:1 or 16:1 2 cycle mix.
