Rob was meant to be ECW champion back in 2000 when he was a three year TV Champion, but a knee injury and Mike Awesome's departure derailed plans for a champion vs champion match
We need some new ECW Elite figures ! Masato and Awesome would be great ! Along with another Sabu , Throw in a Sandman , New Jack and Eliminators !!! I could go on !
The crazy part about Jackson is that Christian beat Ezekiel Jackson in a dark match prior to the first Elimination Chamber PPV days after he was crown the final ECW Champion
The (WWE) ECW Champions should have their own list as they don’t count when it comes to the LEGIT ECW!!!
Was just about to say the same thing
Well too late :p heck what about eastern championship wrestling shouldn't that have there own list too?
@@dylanthebiguy if you like 🤷🏻♀️
@@jozefable oki :p
Ezekiel Jackson proved he had charisma on lucha underground. I'm sure hes retired from wrestling but I'd love to see him make a comeback to AEW.
Mark Henry at 18?? THAT'S a bit of a joke.
Maybe I misunderstood, but in the Sabu entry, youl listed some wrestlers that had never held the title, and you included Rob Van Dam? He held the gold, and was earlier on this very list. I'm not seeing comments to this effect, so maybe I misunderstood what you were saying?
He meant in the original ECW. RVD’s run was in the WWE version.
They had some good talent but I always felt Shane Douglas was super overrated
Fun fact:
Sabu wasn't supposed to beat Terry Funk for his second reign, Terry was supposed to retain but he got stuck in the berbed wire and couldn't move so Sabu pinned him to end the match to get help for Funk
I know he’s nowhere near the top but Justin Credible throwing down the tag titles and beating Dreamer is one of my favorite ECW moments. I can still hear Joel. “IT WAS PLAN B!! IT WAS PLAN B!!!”
Thank you for doing this!!!!
2:52 say alot about the tittle‼😂😂💀
Video idea: Every PPV of 2020 ranked from worst to best.
How about worst to worster?
@@vampirascoffin870 not all were bad, for example TLC, Royal Rumble, etc. where all good.
You lost me when you had Johnny Nitro ahead of Bam Bam Bigelow
I know that Bam Bam was pushing 40 in 1997 and that Nitro would become John Morrisson after his title win, but COME ON! Bam Bam Bigelow totally trolled Shane Douglas as he came out to the ring to face him. Rick Rude knows how to play mind games.
I have seen Shane wrestle thankfully a good handful of times and each time was as entertaining as the last. Also was a very nice guy to talk to
NGL Benoit as ECW Champion I feel would've spiced up the brand a lot had the tragedy not happened.
Punk vs Benoit feud would have been absolutely stellar
Loving these ecw videos still my favorite promotion let's get TV & tag Champs of this video as well. Then do up 1 of the best valets in ecw we all need some TNA not impact either 🤣. Thanks my fellow hardcore chair swinging fans
Comparing Ezekiel to Goldberg... yeah, say what you will about his in ring skills, but Goldberg had character, he had PRESENCE. Ezekiel was barely noticeable, he might as well have been air.
And since he was the last champion before they closed shop... why didn't Rhyno challenge RVD when they started up again?
Sandman embodies ECW. I'd put him at number 1. Garbage in the ring but full of character, and the stuff of moral guardian's nightmares.
Punk was a disciple of Raven which is why he was easily accepted.
I wish Test would’ve became ECW Champion during his feud with Bobby Lashley.
Drugs...
He deserved at least one world champion. I agree.
Is it weird that I wanna watch every ECW pay-per-view now
No
@@randmgames4254 I’m gonna do it then 😂
Tanaka was actually known for his ability to take chair shots to the head, not being put through tables.
If only Chris Benoit was like Masato Tanaka.....
39:38 How much of that reign was on injured reserve?
The fact that Durag Vince isn't number 1 is a fucking disgrace
shane's mic skills were awesome
Feels kinda weird having RVD so low and Lashley so high.
To be fair I think Chavo should've won the IC and US title at some point.
Very least that but he had a few good ones in WWE with Rey as solo cruiserweight champion act.
I was expecting pre-wwe buyout ecw champs... but still good :)
When Douglas shook the halo of Pitbull 1 literally thought he was going the fuck to jail. Like the round house like up state road
Vince McMahon, Former World Wrestling Federation and ECW Champion.
