There is this thing called MMC (migrating motor complex). In order for your body to process food correctly, the break between your meals should be at least 3 hours 45 minutes or 4 hours. Even chewing gum prevents it from working correctly. So have a satiating low carb higher fat meal and let your digestive system to work for 4 hours without interrupting it by snacking (drinking water is okay). This way you will avoid bloating and improve your overall health. Also cut down sugar, it causes inflammation. Stay healthy 👍😊

Also protein rich grains like quinoa and farro could be useful. If you go to any Asian markets, they will typically have an array of dried & canned wheat-based proteins that you can rehydrate and season to your liking... honestly, they make a surpringly realistic meat texture and flavor when properly seasoned. I hope that helps!

If that JAR of pasta makes you uncomfortable, boy do I have a story for you!! I’m staffing this scout camp and the kids have to make their own food. We have the menus planned out ahead of time, and provide them with the ingredients, they just have to prepare it. The scouts are in age based patrols, so we have this group of 7, tiny thirteen year old boys. They have a pack of pasta that probably has 20 servings in it, and they make it all. Of course they don’t eat it all, so what are they gonna do with it? I’m just wondering around each patrols prep station, checking on things, and this boy comes running across the field at me. “Molly! Molly! Molly! I have something for you!” I turn around, curious. “Hmm?” “Put out your hand” I put my hand out, thinking he’s gonna do one of those weird mind games. NOPE. He reaches into his pocket, pulls out a handful of cold spaghetti, puts it in my hand, and runs. “So there I am. Barbecue sauce on my titties” No, but yeah. There I am. Standing in the middle of a field, with a handful of cold pocket spaghetti. I still don’t know what just happened when another staff member walks up and asks what’s wrong. Long story short, I was gifted a handful of pocket spaghetti and it made me so uncomfortable that I froze up and didn’t know what to do.

i often use jarred sauce, but i still cook down some onion and garlic and sometimes ginger (and also sometimes beyond sausage, or beyond ground beef) before adding the sauce. i start the sauce like 15 mins before i even put the pasta in the water. if the sauce gets too thick, i'll add some mirin, sake, or chardonnay. black pepper too, and of course vegan parmesan at the very end, just before you add the cooked pasta. cook pasta to one minute less than al dente instructions on the box, then add pasta to sauce and finish cooking for 2 minutes in the pan. then add more vegan parm on top. honestly only takes like 10-15 minutes longer than just adding sauce on top of cooked pasta and sticking it in the microwave. and i'll have like 6 servings, so my gf and i can both have some for dinner, and then have leftovers for work, and more leftovers for another night.

Hi Julien, your microphone was picking up frequencies from the magnetic field in your induction cook top. Induction cook tops create a magnetic field that does not heat the cook top itself, but heats the pan directly. Regular electric cook tops should not produce the same static noise as they do not have a magnetic field. Gas is dope too though so I guess it doesn't matter. Great video!

Huge pasta tip for everybody: never make pasta wait for sauce, make the sauce wait for the pasta. In other words, don't cook your pasta until your sauce is ready (or almost ready depending on the type of sauce, I'm looking at you carbonara). Gluten free pasta usually follows similar rules as regular pasta, but there is often a rinse after cooking, before adding to the sauce, which you never ever should do with regular pasta. But it should go straight from boiling into a sauce, unless you're making a cold pasta salad, which is a whole different set of rules.
@@megandovex It gets all stuck together and sad. Also, with cream sauces, you can use a little pasta water to thin it or help it re-emulsify if the butter and or fats try to separate out.

If that JAR of pasta makes you uncomfortable, boy do I have a story for you!!
I’m staffing this scout camp and the kids have to make their own food. We have the menus planned out ahead of time, and provide them with the ingredients, they just have to prepare it. The scouts are in age based patrols, so we have this group of 7, tiny thirteen year old boys. They have a pack of pasta that probably has 20 servings in it, and they make it all.
Of course they don’t eat it all, so what are they gonna do with it?
I’m just wondering around each patrols prep station, checking on things, and this boy comes running across the field at me.
“Molly! Molly! Molly! I have something for you!”
I turn around, curious. “Hmm?”
“Put out your hand”
I put my hand out, thinking he’s gonna do one of those weird mind games. NOPE. He reaches into his pocket, pulls out a handful of cold spaghetti, puts it in my hand, and runs.
“So there I am. Barbecue sauce on my titties”
No, but yeah. There I am. Standing in the middle of a field, with a handful of cold pocket spaghetti. I still don’t know what just happened when another staff member walks up and asks what’s wrong.
Long story short, I was gifted a handful of pocket spaghetti and it made me so uncomfortable that I froze up and didn’t know what to do.
🎵 I got a pocket, got a pocket fulla spagetti. I got a love and i know you ain't forgetti.
This was wild from start to finish.

I have noticed that it can crystalize in a weird way. It doesn't grow fungus or anything, so not techniquely bad...just solid and no longer syrupy.

i often use jarred sauce, but i still cook down some onion and garlic and sometimes ginger (and also sometimes beyond sausage, or beyond ground beef) before adding the sauce. i start the sauce like 15 mins before i even put the pasta in the water. if the sauce gets too thick, i'll add some mirin, sake, or chardonnay. black pepper too, and of course vegan parmesan at the very end, just before you add the cooked pasta.
cook pasta to one minute less than al dente instructions on the box, then add pasta to sauce and finish cooking for 2 minutes in the pan. then add more vegan parm on top. honestly only takes like 10-15 minutes longer than just adding sauce on top of cooked pasta and sticking it in the microwave. and i'll have like 6 servings, so my gf and i can both have some for dinner, and then have leftovers for work, and more leftovers for another night.
But have you ever just cooked the pasta and then ate it dry.....it’s an ultimate lazy.

Eli Zenenmi Jenna’s favorite pasta shape is shells cause they hold the sauce, I also think that the first pasta is her favorite if I recall correctly. But I like to imagine she waddled into the kitchen like she does, tried both kinds of pasta, grabbed the bowl that was her favorite, and ran away with it while saying it wasn’t allowed.

Hi Julien, your microphone was picking up frequencies from the magnetic field in your induction cook top. Induction cook tops create a magnetic field that does not heat the cook top itself, but heats the pan directly. Regular electric cook tops should not produce the same static noise as they do not have a magnetic field.
Gas is dope too though so I guess it doesn't matter. Great video!

Huge pasta tip for everybody: never make pasta wait for sauce, make the sauce wait for the pasta. In other words, don't cook your pasta until your sauce is ready (or almost ready depending on the type of sauce, I'm looking at you carbonara). Gluten free pasta usually follows similar rules as regular pasta, but there is often a rinse after cooking, before adding to the sauce, which you never ever should do with regular pasta. But it should go straight from boiling into a sauce, unless you're making a cold pasta salad, which is a whole different set of rules.

I always start my sauce when I add the pasta to the water (I never make sauces that take up more than 10 min...so its usually works for me)
@@megandovex It gets all stuck together and sad. Also, with cream sauces, you can use a little pasta water to thin it or help it re-emulsify if the butter and or fats try to separate out.
