Yup, one of the greatest tributes. Seminole Wind addresses important themes such as environmental conservation and Native American heritage. The song's message about preserving the natural world and respecting indigenous cultures resonates with many listeners, giving it a timeless quality.
I am a Rocker but was raised listening to country since the early 70s. I have a hard time listening to today's country. It is pop music to me. I liked the old country like Merle Haggard, George Jones/Strait, Waylon Jennings, etc.
@@paulpenix8198 No offense or disrespect but, I grew up in the 70's as a teenager in Northern Virginia in the suburbs of DC and the Eagles were never played on country or soul stations ❗
@keithjones8889 I lived in the Southwest and they played Take it easy and lying eyes on the country station and I can't tell you why on a soul station but most songs I definitely heard on rock stations.
I was actually there at that performance. It was about thirteen years ago. It was a night of Randy music. For his 25th anniversary at the Oprah. Great show. Also listen to the Randy Travis 25th Anniversary album. Great music.
I love John Anderson and saw him in some of his early years singing in small bars. You could tell he was destined for greatness. My favorite song of his is, Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off....
My favorite Country album is probably Randy’s “HEROES AND FRIENDS”. It’s a collaboration album on which he duets with a variety of legendary country music artists and one legendary Hollywood icon. It is most definitely worth checking out!
I have been listening to country music since before you were born, I know this song when Randy Travis released it, I have never heard this version, so thank you so much for going there!
I have two songs from John Anderson that you might like ,the first one is "Money In The Bank" and the second one is "I Wish I Could Have Been There For That" ..
Randy has had such a sad and tragic life. Now with dementia. His alcoholism was a horrible problem as it is with so many people. Hope he finds some peace in his last years despite his dementia. God Bless Him
Many years ago the Jacksonville newspaper had a music critic who was a young black female. She didn't much care for country BUT, she LOVED John Anderson. She described his voice as a smooth glass of bourbon. I've never drank, so I can't comment on her comparison, I just know he has a great country voice, deep, smooth, southern.
That is Randys song and on his cd by himself, John Anderson joined him for just this one show. Another voice if you like.Randy is Josh Turner, check him out
If you want to hear two big voices that mesh even better that this, Randy Travis and Josh Turner Long Black Train. Goose Bumps I tells ya lol Pretty much anything with them together is just WOW
This is great, I also love the Tony Jackson cover of this song. A simple stripped down version but really highlights his voice. He also did a tribute/cover of the "Grand Tour " George Jones. He has a great voice and a great story of how he started singing country music.
great song indeed. i am glad to see you enjoying it and a couple other tunes i grew up with (i found you because RUclips put your reaction to "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"). i have noticed that you seem to realy enjoy story songs, something i have always loved myself. might i suggest Merle Haggard's "Miner's silver ghost" or even "Poncho and Lefty" that he did with Willie Nelson. those old singers had so many good story songs
Amazing. When he had his stroke it was a hard day. There is a sweet pic of Ms. Lynn and Mr. Travis at a country music hall of fame induction. Two stroke survivors.
Hi! :) Great reaction to a great song! I Never heard it as a duet with John Anderson! :) Jerry Reed did a funny parody-version of it, called "Tryin' stuff on". 😀
Randy Travis is the only male CW singer that I can listen to over and over (not my genre). Unfortunately he had a stroke with other health complications and no longer can sing or perform like this.
I am like Barbara Mandrel, I was country when country wasn't cool but you talking about rap made this come to mind! Not long after I got out of High school and mid-way in my enlistment in the Corps LL Cool J came out with one that women just melted to and I listened to it so much that I still have it memorized! It was called " I Need Love". I am more than sure you have heard of it!
John Andreson has a very special quality to his voice. If you haven't checked out "Just a Swingin'" you should - it was a gigantic hit for him. A little bit of a novelty song, but it was one of those songs that just stayed on the radio for ages. Great comment on genres holding on to their essence. Totally agree - and Snoop summed it up when he commented on how so much of the rap today sounds exactly the same. Give me Snoop or Rakim or KRS One spitting clear lyrics and telling stories any day!
Rap started out as FUN! The first cassette tape I bought with my own money was The Fat Boys are Back from a record store right next to my house. The store clerk was pushing Billy Ocean, but my mind was set! I still remember all the lyrics! LOL
This is what I have to say about the whole country thing, it has never been one to be closed off to anybody. It is always welcoming. I mean, goodness Ms. Lynn did a duet with Jack White, he produced that album and they won a grammy. Are they going to set there and say that is not country, no. I think the fear is, like you said Britt, is the saturation it can cause. But i honestly think, that there would not be that saturation. I have watched many people younger then me react to the songs and artists that i grew up listening to from my dad and it makes my heart smile. I firmly believe, true traditional country will always be around. Heck, there is the grand ol opry that has at least 3 shows a week if not more.
Every time I think about when Britt dumped me I play this song. Okay, she never dumped me. Actually we never went out, but if we did I'd play this song.
I’m not at all religious even though I was brought up Roman Catholic, but I get chills when I listen to Randy Travis and Kenny Chesney singing “Baptism”
John Anderson - Swingin, Money in the Bank, Seminole wind, Black sheep, Wish I could have been there. Randy Travis - I thought he walked on water, Deeper than a holler, Forever and ever
Swinging 🎉by John, Please ! Also I have always heard that John Anderson was sought after from Hank Williams Jr. , and said No ! and that he would quit singing first .
I dont know who the other guy is but Randy Travis is real country please listen more of this . I love this grew up on it. If his voice doesn't make it on your panty dropper club then listen again
please do 3 wooden crosses by Randy Travis,,,,or straight tequila night or semonole wind...or swingin by john anderson...u wont be upset i promise u!!!!
@BrittReacts Hey Britt!!🎉🎊🥂💕🌹🌹❤️🔥 YOU ARE WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS 🔥🎆 LONG LASTING HUGS 🫂 AND LOTS OF KISSES it is great to hear Randy Travis sing again, although because of the synopsis of the song, resurrecting memories and I can’t help but to laugh a little bit because when I look at your screen, they look at each other when they’re about to trade off versus so I forget that they’re singing about a relationship And singing to each other and it takes me out of what the song is truly about. But this isn’t about my reactions about your reaction and you are awesome!! As I was letting you know, it’s great to hear Randy Travis sing. I am also been doing some reflection through this song about what really happened to Randy Travis and his wife of 19 years and 11 months maybe. They were having when I would consider the typical marriage he discussions, because they are also business partners, and I believe that she was his manager even before they went to business of a different sort. And one night he really got drunk and was driving around, decided he wanted some cigarettes and some more to drink. He went into the local market. Completely naked and was belligerent demanded what he wanted went out the door collapsed, and they called the police and then at some point during the next few days or so, something happened when he was in a coma during this time in the coma, he had a stroke and brain operation. I know he has a form of aphasia just like Bruce Willis actor, Bruce Willis, and he sounds OK when he singing verse, but he can’t really talk so well so his wife sticks by his side and does the majority of the talking he’ll just smile and his head up and down or answer yes or no for the most part, so sad that Randy went through all that up and down with his first wife messed up his 19 years 11 months with her and then he had those problems where he is now having long difficult difficulties of sort so it’s wonderful to hear him saying thank you! It makes me laugh really hard when he says I’m sitting alone digging the bones while doing a duet that is just so funny to me. I’m sitting alone digging up bones as he’s doing a duet! I.😀
Since your diggin country and enjoy Leanne Rymes you should check out Sara Evans , Ithink she has one of the best voices in country music . Just a little bit longer is a great tune
Is it easy to two-step to? Is it easy to waltz to? If it is, it might be country music. It gets more complicated when we bring in swing-dance and line-dancing. Peace, Love!!
There is a great duet by Mr. Travis and Mr. Jones. It is, a Few Good Ole Country Boys. They recorded when Mr. Travis first started. Fun fact, he is a member of the church of christ which is what i grew up in. No, it is not the LDS.
Good job young lady, John Anderson- Seminole Wind is very very good
Yup, one of the greatest tributes. Seminole Wind addresses important themes such as environmental conservation and Native American heritage. The song's message about preserving the natural world and respecting indigenous cultures resonates with many listeners, giving it a timeless quality.
She's reacted to it - worth checking out!

I am a Rocker but was raised listening to country since the early 70s. I have a hard time listening to today's country. It is pop music to me. I liked the old country like Merle Haggard, George Jones/Strait, Waylon Jennings, etc.
Sometimes I feel like the "Eagles" would have been considered "Country" by today's standards 🧐IDK 🤔
@keithjones8889 Eagles are one of the only bands where their music was played on rock, pop, country, soul, and easy listening radio stations.
@@paulpenix8198 No offense or disrespect but, I grew up in the 70's as a teenager in Northern Virginia in the suburbs of DC and the Eagles were never played on country or soul stations ❗

@@paulpenix8198 I think you can see why// considering where I lived in the DC suburbs😂
Check out John Anderson, " Seminole Wind" it's a good one by him
I will!
The greatness of John Anderson needs to be discovered by Reactors.
John Anderson and the Bellamy Brothers did a great duet "No Country Music For Old Men
I agree that Jhon Anderson singing Just a Swangin is a country standard.
John Anderson - Seminole Wind and Straight Tequila Night !!!! ♥️
Randy is a very underappreciated country artist. Peace, Love!!
John Anderson's Straight Tequila Night is a must. He also has a funny one called Chicken Truck.
Check out swinging and black sheep from John Anderson

One of my favorite songs by Randy Travis.
IT IS A CULTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You absolutely need to hear the Bellamy Brothers, I’ll give you all my love tonight
I’ll check it out!
John Anderson is a goldmine rabbit hole. 'Swingin'' is great, but 'Years' is a masterpiece (and Sierra Ferrell's cover is also a masterpiece.)
agreed I thought Years should have won a Grammy for Album of the Year
I was actually there at that performance.
My favorite song of his is, Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off....
that is Kenny Chesney....Johns was ...STRRAIGHT TEQUILA NIGHT
@txsmalltown5135 no that was Joe Nichols that did Tequila makes her clothes fall off.
My favorite Country album is probably Randy’s “HEROES AND FRIENDS”. It’s a collaboration album on which he duets with a variety of legendary country music artists and one legendary Hollywood icon. It is most definitely worth checking out!
John Anderson: BLACK SHEEP. Legendary!
John Anderson Seminole wind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very sad story on how we treated the Seminole Indians. How we treated their land.😢
I know you make your momma's heart smile.
Randy has had such a sad and tragic life. Now with dementia. His alcoholism was a horrible problem as it is with so many people. Hope he finds some peace in his last years despite his dementia.
God Bless Him
My all time favorite Randy Travis song is deeper than the holler ❤❤❤ please check that out
Check out Seminole Wind by John Anderson it is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!
Classic country is as different from today's country as classic rock is from today's hits. Change happens. Not always for the better though.
Two great voices
Randy Travis is the definition of country music ❤
That is Randys song and on his cd by himself, John Anderson joined him for just this one show. Another voice if you like.Randy is Josh Turner, check him out

You were looking for a word that described the sound. Nostalgic hits it for me. It sounds like old style country.
Love some John Anderson
This is your boy from TN... rocking with you. Randy is one of a kind 1❤
This is great, I also love the Tony Jackson cover of this song. A simple stripped down version but really highlights his voice. He also did a tribute/cover of the "Grand Tour " George Jones. He has a great voice and a great story of how he started singing country music.
RANDY is a great talent. He actually changed keys in this version to make it for Johns voice
great song indeed. i am glad to see you enjoying it and a couple other tunes i grew up with (i found you because RUclips put your reaction to "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"). i have noticed that you seem to realy enjoy story songs, something i have always loved myself.

Randy's recovery from a stroke has been amazing.
Hi! :)
Great reaction to a great song!
I Never heard it as a duet with John Anderson! :)
Jerry Reed did a funny parody-version of it, called "Tryin' stuff on". 😀
My dad was a country singer & after he & my mom divorced & he remarried he would sing this…needless to say my stepmom & him didn’t stay married long
Randy Travis is the only male CW singer that I can listen to over and over (not my genre). Unfortunately he had a stroke with other health complications and no longer can sing or perform like this.

Come Father's Day, play Randy's "The Box". It will probably strike a chord with lots of people.

John Anderson and Tracy Lawrence do a duet called 1959 you need to hear this one.
My favorite John Anderson song is wild and blue. Swinging is his huge hit
Would love to see you react to Josh Turner's "Your Man." If you react to the official music video, you get to see his wife.
John Anderson Let go of the stone
He's exhuming those memories AND resurrecting them! Big words LOL
Swingin' by John Anderson... is a good one to check out.
@BrittReacts If you will listen closely, the lyrics are not "Exhuming things that's better left alone". It is "exhumin'(the g sound is missing).
This is what I have to say about the whole country thing, it has never been one to be closed off to anybody. It is always welcoming. John Anderson the Song 1959
John Anderson's "Seminole Wind" would be a great place to start on his rabbit hole.
Seminole Wind is a fantastic John Anderson song!! 💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥
They both have a great bluegrass sound.
I find I like some Rap when it is used in some songs ... maybe as a bridge. Pink has a song like that. Oh, and I need to understand the words.
Do listen to Randy's solo / studio album version.
Amen sister. Nailed it
😊
I always try to harmonize with him. I'm not good but I love his songs.
