Absolutely beautiful, I have a C10 Spruce Top, and I'm leaning towards picking up a Cedar top. Theres a warmth thats missing from the Spruce, that the Cedar seems to bring out. Tastefully done, what a great way to present an instrument. I've always believed, "its not the tool, it's the touch" , however you my friend, have both!
I am on the same spot here, I also have the spruce top (which I loved, but I am looking for that warmth too); …and, I also being seeing good reviews on the Albahma 7c (which is back and side on mahogany and top cedar); So, basically I haven’t decided yet 😅 Thoughts of yours can brighten my thinking here 😊 Warmest
This cedar was bit brighter than most other cedar guitars. I used D'Addario J45 (medium tension strings). Because of its brighter tone, nylon strings seemed to work better than carbon type strings. When you get a guitar that you like experiment with strings and see what you like best. They are all different. Cheers!
I though it was the rosewood that gives this nice bright sound, then still warm due to the cedar. (specially by comparaison with the mahogany C9) But do you think it is that cedar itself that sounds bright? Wonderful playing ans mood anyway. Thanks for great reviews
I have one that is older, I think about 2005 or so. I has held up well with no cracking, bridge loosening or other problems. I note slightly livelier tone than a new one I played. I rarely play my 1975 Yairi CY120 anymore. The Cordoba has much better bass and projection. Great guitar for the money, and getting better with age. Thanks for the great demo and fine playing.
from playing electric and acoustic for many years, i bought the C10. Getting use to the wide fret board was weird, it was like landing on a wide runway but i quickly got use to it. the guitar is beautiful and sounds good , i do not have a problem with it. the weight of it is super light. all of the experts say it is an entry level guitar for testing or learning classical guitar at the college level. i will not go looking for anything else, this guitar is what i have been looking for. it comes with a spruce or cedar top, i chose cedar and with a beautiful rosette. i did not know it at the time but cordoba also makes a 7/8 size C10 parlor guitar for small hands.
Lately I have been watching guitar comparison videos like Concert Classical Guitars. The guitars in those videos were for concert solo performances. Now when I listen to Cordoba C10, I don’t have that “what a difference “feeling. For $1300USD, the sound is very round and warm, the sustain is good. When I plan to get a decent guitar for myself, I definitely would consider it. I also watched your other videos comparing much higher caliber guitars, you are a wonderful guitarist. 👏
Really nicely played. I'm really considering the C10. All solid wood at just under 1k is a really really good deal. I've been playing picked for years and have just recently discoverd the joys of fingerstyle. I have a really nice Steel string Breedlove Oregon smye, but I love the tone of nylon stringed classical guitar, it takes a lot less efffort to play with decent volume and tone. Again, great job, really wonderful
i have a cordboda iberai dolce (7/8)and the intonation is spot on, fis tuned with st augustin blue e a daddario classic nt d st augustine b and daddario nt e, only thing i did was raised the upper nut a bit ( under the e ) , lots of love to you, Kimmo
I hope Cordoba is paying you cause you make their instrument s sound incredible. My next guitar will be either a C10 or C12. Currently I have a C5 I like slot. Just got into classical but still like my Gibson for playing country. You are inspiration.
You will like the spruce top version of this guitar as well. Play through a few of them as you may find one that stands out among the others. Good luck and let me know how you like the guitar.
I've owned one for about 3-4 years now... All that is said about it's projection, and deep bass are true and I think it is a great deal at that price.. Mine, at least. has a few ghost or wolf tones that I dislike: The C# on the A string has a buzz to it and the F#/G on the A string are thuddy which probably is a fight, frequency-wise, with the top's likely G tuning.. Would like to hear from others their experiences this way.....M
You are so freaking awesome, Tavi. Saw you on the Cordoba Torres video on the Cordoba Guitars channel. If only the Torres wasn't as expensive like that.. It has to be my dream guitar. This guitar though, sounds very good as well!
This performance of Cavatina is so cathartic. You are an amazing, amazing artist. I rushed inwards to buy this guitar as soon as possible. Thanks. Mark Quinn
Nice playing. This cedar is special because the trebles are singing, almost like a spruce. The C10 cedar I recently tried at a store did not sustain like yours. The only problem is that the C10 costs Cdn$1,500 in Canada, which is overpriced for a made in China guitar. To get an all-solid Cordoba made in Spain (the Solista) you need to pay at least Cdn$2,500. Good video though...
Dr Yogi I try not to think about where the guitar is made. I can guitar is unique and very rarely a great guitar emerges that defies provenance and the low price point. I have a Cordoba C7 that rivals the most expensive Hauser Guitars I have played in the past. Trust your ears and buy a guitar based on what your ears tell you.
Nice job on your videos, you always play interesting selections that I am ubfamiliar with are they yours ? Also What did you think of the Cordoba C10 CD,
Beautiful piece and sound. Though you would probably sound great on whatever guitar you played. Have you tried the C9? I'm thinking about getting a new guitar as it is somewhat of a struggle to play on the one I have now, an old yamaha with a slightly bent neck. From where I am going to order the C9 cedar cost 799 euro and the c10 cedar 1055 euro. In USD that is a difference of about 290 USD. As far as I can tell the only difference between the two guitars is that C9 have mahogany back and sides. The price difference seems quite big to to me but maybe it is priced reasonably? If you by any chance have tried the C9 I would love to hear what your opinion is regarding how they compare.
***** Thank you for your reply. Would for sure have been interested in your c10 had I lived in the US. I live in Sweden though so going to try and find one closer to home. Sadly Cordobas are not available in Sweden but Germany isn't to far away, shipping cost is fairly low. C10 cedar or spruce though that is the question? Was planing cedar with the C9 but for c10 perhaps spruce would be the best, spruce+rosewood is a nice combo.
I have enjoyed your playing. This song used to be available as a recording only. Can you please give the name of this musical piece? Thank you very much.
Sounds wonderful. I love the demo you did on the c12 as well. Do you think the natural flex/vibrato on the fan braced c10 gives it a bit more response than the c12 or is it just me. Love the sound of both and I do like the fact that the c12 can go that extra mile when pushed but would love to hear what you think. Also, have you ever played the cedar top c12 limited and what are your thoughts on that one. Your playing truly is inspirational. To achieve that balance of legato and 'emotional vibrato' is wonderful.
Hello Maestro. You have a great and inspiring gift. I have a Ramirez 3e and a Terada. I am thinking of purchasing the Cordoba C10 Classical Guitar (Cedar & Indian) Crossover because of the smaller neck. Do you have any thoughts on the C10 crossover? Do you know of any used models. Your suggestions would be most welcome and sincerely appreciated.
I'm thinking of buying this guitar. I wonder what strings you're using, as in some other youtube videos Cordoba C10 cedar sounds different. I like how it sounds in your video.
Thanks for the video! Do you still feel this guitar is a good value or would recommend something else in this price range. Someone else felyt it's not worth it after he had it a few years. Thanks for your input!
I want to like the C10, but the ones I have heard and played just seem a little thin and dry... with that said, your talent brings out the best in this instrument. Very nice.
I play sort of Williams-style. (But I keep experimenting with my technique during the sparse amount of time I have devoted to actually doing a bouncing balancing act between strings/fingers.) Do you still recommend the D'Addario J45 medium-tension strings?
Sir, I'm planning to buy this guitar. However, I've only ever enjoyed Spruce tops. The few Cedar tops I've tried by Alhambra and Manuel Rodriguez didn't entice me at all. Would you recommend the Spruce top version of this guitar?
Beautifully played! I'm tossing up whether to buy the C10 or the C10 Parlour (7/8th size, 630mm scale). I find full size guitars a bit of a stretch, as my hands aren't very large. Have you tried the Parlour, and does the smaller size mean the sound quality is reduced somewhat? I bought a Cordoba Cadete, and am disappointed in the sound quality. It's a 3/4 size guitar more suited for beginners/children.
Tavi, is this guitar a good instrument to continue with classical guitar study from intermediate to advance level?, easy to play?, with sound like spanish guitar?
I have a C10 Spruce top, the low end seems to be brighter, than the higher end. I believe the Cedar has a warmer feel, so Im going to swap them. I think the answer to your question could be the way in which you attack the strings on the lower end. That being said, the Bass stings on my Spruce top are pretty loud, and bright

Are you playing this guitar much now? What are your thoughts on strings? Also, keeping the guitar at a decent humidity. I know you're supposed to stay in the 40-percent range. I don't have a hygrometer now. Is that a huge issue? I live in Ohio, and we are having warmish weather here these days...I was going to invest in a Humicase, and someone told me to just buy the hygrometer and a sponge with my current case. I have guitar videos of my own: I haven't had a premium of time to practice, practice, practice, so I'd sit down in front of a camera and force the issue with my "core" reperetoire. I have two RUclips accounts, one under my name, and another under the handle "HughRistick". I lost the password for the latter, and had a huge problem getting back into it, and finally gave up completely. Thank you very much for reading all these posts from all of us! --Mark Quinn
Mark Quinn Hi Quinn. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Check with some luthiers first about putting a sponge inside any guitar. I was told by a guitar teacher who sells many very high quality hand made acoustic guitars that a sponge can leak inside a guitar and spoil the guitar. A very famous guitar company Martin tells people to use a sponge. So I did not know what to do. Here is what the guitar seller/teacher said. will be played less, the wood will swell in and out less which can cause the inevitable collapse of the fingerboard into the sound hole over the years. At first you would never be able to tell. Then years later there will be a big bump in the upper frets and the guitar will buzz and sound much worse as the angle of the neck is wrong- thus intonation and tone are sacrificed. Buy a decent humidifier at London Drugs, Canadian Tire etc. (doesn't have to be a fancy one). PLAY OFTEN. The more you play it the better!!! Most of these things are kind of gimmicky. I wouldn't use anything like these or other products at all on the guitar. Your Yammy has adjusted to the harsh Canadian environment of the prairies. With your new humidifier for your Vincent you will be set up for success. Let the guitars breath and move as much as possible. Hang them on the wall and play often. I didn't look at the video. In some cases a lot of these humidity controllers have burst or exploded inside of guitars causing irreplaceable damage due to the slimy gel inside. (like a diaper) All the pros and best builders in the world seat away from these things and use only when shipping, if applicable. Collectors and guys with excess money who like to spend it buy these products and risk the integrity of their guitar using it.
Joaquin Kenyon Super simple. DO NOT USE THE CASE SYSTEM!!!! Keep a humidifier going in your homestead and keep your relative humidity between %47 - %55. Keeping it in the case will kill your guitar over time. It will not pick up residual vibrations, it will be played less, the wood will swell in and out less which can cause the inevitable collapse of the fingerboard into the sound hole over the years. +MadNut321 not a problem man i sent it back and it turns out there was a crack at the base of the neck. i went with ibanez though. played one at my local GC and although the tone was not quite as nice as the cordoba just about everything else was better.
+CoTheReal You're right - it is very rare to get a decently set up guitar, even the expensive ones, out of the box. Most common reasons: The nut is too high and the first couple of fretted notes are sharp. You can compensate but it is fiddly. Nearly every guitar I try has a grossly sharp G string, partly due to the inherent gauge of most classical g strings and partly for other reasons. I really do wish suppliers of guitars, especially the expensive ones, set them up properly before shipping them.

forget the guitars I am just here to listen to him play! he is a magnificent classical guitarist his phrasing is just sublime!
Tavi, This is truly one of the most beautiful pieces ever, and the artistry and virtuosity you bring to it is very moving. Thank you for inspiring me.
Any guitar played by Tavi sounds good tbh. Even one of the protege line

Stanley Myers is the composer and the piece is entitled Cavatina.
Wow, great playing, great guitar and great recording. This is one of the best versions of Cavatina.
Cavatania, thanks 👍
Difficult to stop listening... beautiful tone & musicality.
Lovely playing. Your artistry shines. Bravo!
How spectacular it is played by you :)

Suberb playing of this nice piece.
The couple Cd/IndR seems to give a very fine balanced sound. Like it very much!
Magnificent. Just bought one. Thanks for helping me make the decision to buy it.
Beautiful tone, beautiful song, and you interpreted it like a great singer would a love song. Bravo!
C10 is a very good value for money. For the price and quality, I would buy this guitar. Tavi, you have done a good job.
es una maravillosa interpretacion mas aun la habilidad que le an dado los años de estudio del maestro

Wow, soothing and amazing sound.
Buen sonido de este modelo Córdoba, en la notable demostración del maestro Jinariu.
Just purchased a C10 spruce top, I love the tone but I'll never be able to play "Cavatina"
as beautifully as you.

Kris Mawyer its x braced. not fan braced
thus the crisper sounding bass
The C10 is fan braced. The C12 is lattice braced.
i mean did you put a bunch of reverb and stuff on this tho?
Have you ever reviewed the Cordoba Esteso; would love to see you play it!
joel gheiler ruclips.net/video/nZHAyxSSChg/видео.html
Tavi Jinariu great. How did you find the esteso compared to the cordoba c12?
Hello Maestro. You have a great and inspiring gift. I have a Ramirez 3e and a Terada.
I am thinking of purchasing the Cordoba C10 Classical Guitar (Cedar & Indian) Crossover because of the smaller neck. Do you have any thoughts on the C10 crossover? Do you know of any used models. Your suggestions would be most welcome and sincerely appreciated.

Yes, it is still a great value. I have a C7 guitar that is even better than this one.
Is the c12 worth the extra money for someone who will never give concerts without a sound system?
May i know what kind if microphone u are using
/
I want to like the C10, but the ones I have heard and played just seem a little thin and dry... with that said, your talent brings out the best in this instrument. Very nice.
Lovely
Should I upgrade from a c7 to c10 in cedar? I can't afford a c12 or gc32. Or what about a gc22?
i am considering buying a C10 how does it compare to a Khaya 32 (accoustic lakewoods) ?
I play sort of Williams-style. (But I keep experimenting with my technique during the sparse amount of time I have devoted to actually doing a bouncing balancing act between strings/fingers.) Do you still recommend the D'Addario J45 medium-tension strings?
Sir, I'm planning to buy this guitar. However, I've only ever enjoyed Spruce tops. The few Cedar tops I've tried by Alhambra and Manuel Rodriguez didn't entice me at all. Would you recommend the Spruce top version of this guitar?
hey that sounds okay.
Nice playing !!
How do you compare with C12CD?
Could you tell me what 's mic in this video?
Did you pick out the guitars or was it a random draw?
Do you think this will be a good step up from the Cordoba C5? Would you recommend the cedar or spruce edition? Also, truly inspirational performance!
what strings are you using, they sound amazing on this guitar
Beautifully played! I'm tossing up whether to buy the C10 or the C10 Parlour (7/8th size, 630mm scale). I find full size guitars a bit of a stretch, as my hands aren't very large. Have you tried the Parlour, and does the smaller size mean the sound quality is reduced somewhat? I bought a Cordoba Cadete, and am disappointed in the sound quality. It's a 3/4 size guitar more suited for beginners/children.
Did you end up getting the C10 Standard or Parlor?
morlock3
Could you please tell me who composed this piece?
Guitarist john williams recorded this piece for the deer hunter
It is not; this is Cavatina by Stanley Myers.

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Stanley Myers - Have fun with it.
This is beautiful. Is this your own?
Is this an original piece?
Do you recommend it? I'm looking for something $1000 or less.
Which is brighter the cedar or European spruce? Which has more bass? Thanks
Spruce is brighter and cedar is warmer

Hello Tavi ... i Wanted to ask about your thoughts towards The Cordoba C7 ... should i get it or should i add to the money and purchase a C10 ?
***** is there a remarkable difference ??
Omar Moataz if U R going to do it get the all solid c9 or c10
good job there buddy , how bout some rowdy flamenco next time ?
good sustain on trebles. How do these guitars compare with Alhambra?
do you mean Cordoba is better than Alhambra?
Luci Naylor Alhambra guitars are nothing to write home about unless U go into the 2000.00 range
Sounds good but I dont want to buy a guitar with a truss rod in it

+MadNut321 i too was unaware but yes they do its called the AEG10nii. check it out. peace
My own guitar, but the music is not. It is a piece written by Stanley Myers.
Sounds out of tune.
I dont think you have such musical ears then.
