It’s 2024 and I just can’t stop thinking about this song and now I go to a senior center and take a chair exercise class that plays the song and the first couple times I heard it. I cried and cried. Now I just enjoy it every time I hear it and we get to exerciseand make motions with this song and I love it even more now, but I’ve always loved it my entire life and now I’m old and grow up with this song and these wonderful people who sang it and I miss them dearly
Peter,Paul,and Mary’s
Music will live on forever..I’m old now myself and still love it so much.❤ Thank you for your post.☮️🎶
❤❤❤
There will never be another Peter Paul and Mary..Can't imagine all the time they put into every song.. The harmony is superb.
How right you are.have been a fan since their first l.p hit the market.have never any gr.oup that has come close to p.p m
I had the pleasure of meeting Peter a couple of times. I even played roadie for him and had his equipment in my Jeep for a couple of days before dropping it off. This was in 2014 or so. My sister is good friends with his daughter Bethany. A very nice man, he did 2 pro bono gigs for my Mother and her foundation. Thanks Peter.
I wish I could go to 1964 and Hear them in person !
True Talent !
❤
I did hear them in person in 1963. Tremendous talent and music.
I saw these wonderful talented folks in 1864 as a 13 y o at Carnegie Hall and throughout the years. They were like fine wine.
Love them. They were the reason that I became a guitar player. Probably more than a few others were inspired too!
This video makes me feel young again.
The best group ever. I grew up listening to them in the 60's, Wow brings back memories.
Absolute masters of their craft. Rest in peace, Mary thank you for everlasting memories..❤☮️
This is one of their best songs ever 2023 there will be no more songs like this ...really truly miss the old America🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yes 1964... a wonderful time to be alive! 1964: Three civil rights workers murdered in Mississippi during "Freedom Summer;" Race riots in Harlem and many other U.S. cities; U.S. military forces launched attacks on North Vietnam in response to an "alleged" attack on a U.S. destroyer off the Vietnamese coast (turned out to be an LBJ lie); Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa was convicted of fraud, conspiracy and jury tampering; 1964 was indeed a pivotal year in American history... the beginning of the end of the end of the "American Dream."
yes, I was 14 and I still sob with the songs..and today, VietNam seems small given our entire democracy at stake.@@andreasmodugno

Yeah, me too thank you for the post.☮️😎

RIP, dear Mary❤!
My mother seen then at western illinois u. 2.50 to see. If your broke come see for free. She said .1963 at this time . Times were different. But dam to come together in peace is gold.
What a great selection of songs by this superb group. I just wish that their music could be heard more widely. Thanks for posting
At the top of their game, a flawless rendition of Dylan's Blowin' in the Wind. Which should bring a tear to every conscious soul on the planet on this April day in 2022.
Puff the Magic Dragon always makes me cry. 😢
True words.
Love this song. Thanks. Listening to it brings back memories of the 60s when I was just a teen.
Thank max music old yuma az radiola1967
I was so happy to see them in one of their last concerts.
Just in the last few years it seems that such vintage recordings of extraordinary performances has arisen out of the depths and posted for us to remember and the kiddies to learn. PP&M were truly magical. Can't believe it has been 60 years. When I was young.
Little children love this song. Puff the Magic Dragon 🐉😂🎉
Best group ever.❤
Such beautiful harmonies, thank you all.
I grew up listening to their music
Love their ❤music 🎶 🎵
They were my inspiration in grade school to form a group and sing their songs 60 years ago.
The times were changing indeed. But not how we hoped they would...
Simply wonderful. It helped give birth to our youthful dreams. We will always be grateful.
Thank max Music olds yuma az RADIOLA 1967
I still love them all...
YOU WILL NEVER HEAR A WONDERFUL GROUP LIKE THIS AGAIN THEY WERE ONE OR THE GREATEST THE BEST WHEN IT CAME TO FOLK MUSIC
Puff intro was just a little hint of what the song was really about. Sounds like the audience weren't hip to his act❤😂
Oh I do loved them !
What Great Harmony. Like vocal trapeze artist. I saw them from their beginning
Really they were one of my time thank you peter Paul n mary
Thank you x
My father's favorite playlist in the early 90s.. love the memories it brings me back to my childhood days
I loved Mary Travers she was beautiful, she has a little gravestone in Connecticut it's so sad
She lived in Redding ct
While living in Bethel, CT, in the 1990s, I was at the local Jeep dealership, in Danbury, getting my CJ-5 serviced. Who came and sat next to me in the waiting area but Mary Travers. I was lucky to be able to thank her then and there for the beautiful music she gave us.
Very few would understand how PPM made the imprint.
Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command... genius
Yes. Sons and daughters must now face the consequences of their own actions.
We who were the sons and daughters then, are grandparents now!

Wonderful music , I will never forget.
Famous words composed by Bob Dylan!
my papa is filipino, he knew these songs cause i hear sometimes singing PPM music..he is 63yrs old.
Thank you for sharing...
Along with the Byrds, they introduced me to Dylan. The gateway.
First folk song i learned to play in the guitar. What a harminy. Thanks PPM
Wunderschöner Dreigesang.
so miss the time
I love folk singers that sing against the harmony . . . Mary Travers, Judy Durham, Cass Elliott . . .
Their musics bring me back to 60’s!
Recuerdo perfecto a este grupo,es fantástico.Sus canciones son sencillas simpáticas.Es un agrado transportarme a ese período.❤❤
Let us realize the truth of what Dylan is saying in "Blowin' in the Wind", we HAVE the answer! It's here, NOW! We only need choose it.
Beautiful song
The times were a-changin’ alright. And not for the better. I’m of the same generation everyone else is who is commenting here, and I too loved these songs. I too thought we were heading into a wonderfully brave and noble era. But we were wrong, and we need to be authentic enough to admit it. We brought about abortion, the end of the family, godlessness, etc.
I still love the songs, and I love our once-youthful courage.
But we were wrong about so much.
Simplesmente maravilhoso.
Great songs ❤❤
The very best, no one ever like .PP&M . No one. ------MJL, 75 y/o
I spelled songs wrong as I was trying to type too fast but I know its spelled songs but I should of looked at what I typed before I sent it out ! Sorry !
I bet you every folkie young man on earth was at one time in love with Mary Travers.
Unfortunately she did not age well.
I met Mary on the street many times in NY
In the 70’s but saw PPM. From their beginning. Mary was a smart cool talented
But not in your face. Miss her and the boys
She was and is a Natural Goddess
Yes I was, a beautiful voice and a goddess.
@@johnmcintyre1965 She was sick and suffering from leukemia. Near the end, her face was very swollen; probably from chemo & steroids used to treat the illness. She put on weight as she aged but looked good until she was so sick.
Bob Dylan wrote some amazing folk music, and PP and M did this song great.
G.O.O.S.E.B.U.M.P.S
The “dr.fishlove” bit 😂😂😂😂😂😂
A dragon lives forever but not so little boys Mores the PITY
Beatles, PPM and Bach, thats all !!
harmony, they got in spades.
❤
😂❤❤❤❤
Boa música
Awesome group ! Awesome songs ! The sonngs here are my favorite Peter Paul and Mary songs ! Are they all gone now or is it just Mary who died ? Does anyone know ? Thank you for telling me if you can someone !
Peter Yarrow and Paul Stookey are alive and well and sometimes still perform together.
Sadly Mary died in 2009. I believe she was 72 years old. She had a form of cancer but I think she ultimately passed from complications of a bone marrow transplant.
I attended Mary’s Memorial in Nov 2009. 3000 folks at Riverside Church. I miss her
and the boys
Very strange hay rake for stage prop ???? Must have been a farm benefit 🎼🎶🎶🎵✌️☮️🇺🇲
ZThe Age of And Aquarius is here now ....that is what Peter ,Paul,And Mary were tring to get across to us.. So here we are in in 20 24 and WAKE UP PEOPLE.. the planet Earth 🌏 is changing for the better
..
Thats a man, baby.
What happened to the fine ideals of these songs?
Ho Chi Minh was a brutal màss-murderer of landlords in North Vietnam in the 1950s. Even Ken Burns showed this Ho in a book.
I had no idea Bob Dylan wrote Puff The Magic Dragon
I think Puff was written by Peter Yarrow
That's because he didn't.
@@johnmcintyre1965 It was Peter and Lennard Lipton a college friend of Peter's
Peter Yarrow co-wrote it in college
he did not. Peter Yarrow did.
Don’t criticize if you don’t understand
What song is supposed to be after Puff The Magic Dragon?
I wonder if anyone could please tell me, who was playing the Double Bass? I know it’s definitely not Dick Kniss. He probably moved on to join John Denver at that stage. Thank you if you can help find out about this Bass player….!
She's gone I knew
:')
Did they EVER write a song themselves? Just askin'
Puff The Magic Dragon, a beautiful song, beautifully done.
Despite having a hidden ugly drug message behind it. Still a lovely song.
It does not. See interview with Peter Yarrow who wrote it.
@@guyconnolly6926 It most certainly does. Unless you consider drug abuse, in this case marijuana, to not be ugly.
It's about the loss of childhood innocence, but you're welcome overlay any twisted spin you care to.
Why now a days, singers, makes an almost nude outfit to attract the sometimes no sense music, these group dress in a decent styles and the songs is somewhat make sense, somewhat factual!!!
No gimmicks. Just genius. If I see one more half naked singer, or pink &/or green hair, or one more tattoo creeping up a musicians neck, I am gonna barf. It ceased being edgy years ago, and is usually indicative of minimal talent.
John 4:25-29
“The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.” ….. The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?”
