3:55 This is in Dutch. 3:58 This is in French. Since you have both it means that this box is from Belgium where Dutch and French are both official languages. Since I speak French, I can translate for you. On top box it says, "Choose your fate and try to win one of many Star Wars prices". The top of the middle box asks to choose between the light and the dark side and explain their choice by either writing or drawing. The bottom of the middle box asks to guess how many people will participate in this contest. The bottom box is just a fill out form with instruction to send the form to an address in Bruxelles, Belgium (confirming my original assumption) before the 31st of December 2017.
Since in Russia we don't (and didn't before) have the official Lego, we never had the same promos / gifts with purchases you normally get in official stores elsewhere. That's why the contents of the Russian gift box was kind of exclusive to the Russian buyers, but I can feel the frustration for seeing the stuff you'd normally get for free))
Russian certified Lego retailer (which released the box in the video) had a lot of same promos as the official Lego stores had, the problem is that the retailer was quite selective in choosing which promos they would like to include. So that’s why they never offered 20th anniversary Ben Kenobi but, for example, they were giving the Mario expansion set with Stone-Eye for pre-ordering the starter course, just as Lego stores had
Oh and by the way I remember the Russian retailer offering most of the promos included in this box (at least the dioramas and the minifig polybags with that small background piece) so apparently the reason for the gift box is pretty much the same as the others: they wanted to get rid of the remaining stocks, those alien sets undoubtedly point at that because no one ever cared about those 🙃
@@FabuBrikor some reason, I am almost sure that you are either a Ukrainian, or just a Russophobe, or a person who thoughtlessly believes in propaganda without having his own opinion, or just a head on his shoulders.
in Russia, there has always been a network intermediary approved by the Lego company, it worked on the principle of all other lego stores, but formally had a different name. And about the lack of promotions with gifts, you're just lying, we were constantly given gifts when shopping, I don't remember more than one day in my life that Russians lego stores didn't give gifts when buying for a certain amount of money.

(in the red circle it says ''A Star Wars bedroom makeover!'' as one of the prizes) ''Choose your path! Choose your path and tells us why you choose the light or dark side of The Force!'' And at the bottom it just asks for you personal information to join the giveaway
I do own the Dutch mystery box, the "movie tickets" youre talking about are actually post cards you could give to your friends and ask them to come build togheter... its lamer then you might have thought. The other one was being able to have a chance to win one of those products indeed.. not all of them. It was a promotion that I'm sure you could get spending a certain amount of money, think it was 100 euro on lego star wars products. Altough if you knew a guy that worked at Intertoys they could give you some. I got two. Gave one to my ex... still regret it till this day 😆
I must say that in Russia no one buys mystery boxes, since the official reseller of the Lego company (in Russia - Mir Kubikov) always puts sets there that are not in demand by the buyer, do not make a profit and simply lie in a warehouse or on display. Mystery boxes sold for about $60-80, which is the price of a good set. P.S. It's Russian business.

bro, this box cost $ 80 when it was sold in lego stores, some reseller simply inflated the price, the box itself was a collection of those things that remained after the completion of the shares, and those things that simply sold poorly.
3:40 Translation from Dutch: "Dear ___, Join me to discover the latest Star Wars (The Last Jedi) at Kinepolis and go to a galaxy far far away!" Kinepolis is a cinema, but it doesn't appear to be a ticket, just a bit of cardboard to invite people. I think the small text say something like: "This invitation isn't a ticket, and also cannot be traded in for one. To participate in a showing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, you have to buy a ticket beforehand" Exciting stuff -_-
3:56 "Choose your path for a chance to win fantastic Star Wars prizes. Choose your side and tell us why you picked the light or the dark side of the Force! " The blurry bit is harder to read, but it looks like you're supposed to guess how many people have participated in the sweepstakes by the 31st of December at midnight, followed by contact details.

So like at the time, that polybag (jeep and figure) you could say like $10 dollars, and the temple/trap/terrain is like roughly less than 200 pieces or so? So fairly say like a $15 worth of Lego (large skull element, two large ramps are stand out elements to have). And with the two Ugha Warrior figs another like $5 of figs. So total, I'd say you got $30 of Lego, and exclusive box, exclusive instructions on nice quality paper (unique to Lego). Box very sturdy w/nicely printed graphics. Unique fold out instructions on thick paper. Very exclusive too, for a Lego set. So you could say at the time, a fair price considering only 500 made and convention exclusive to boot. One of my prized pieces in my Lego collection.
I remember that there were several such boxes, it seems, 2-3, and they were sold only in Russian lego stores, and nowhere else. if you search on Russian trading platforms, you may be able to find others. But if my memory serves me right, they stopped being released around 2020, probably because they didn't sell very well. They mainly consisted of those sets that remained after the completion of gift promotions, and those things that were lying around in warehouses due to low demand, for example, these plastic bags with aliens and a keychain with Darth Vader 2003 - obvious examples of what I'm talking about. Although sometimes there were cases that such boxes contained sets that were not distributed during gift promotions, although they were provided to Lego for free, but due to the fact that Russian lego stores are an approved partner network, and not directly owned by Lego, they had the right to produce such solutions. Although there were few such cases, they still happened.
The text on the paper isn't actually Dutch but French and it says: "choose your Destiny and your chance to win. One of many starwars awards". Which leads me to believe it may have come frome a Top1toys in Belgium

Imagine if the Big box from Russia came with a Chrome Vader, Chrome Stormtrooper, and Gold C-3po. That would be BONKERS.
They should make lego themed wall paper, it sounds stupid but it would be cool in a lego room.
