I'm 15 and started half a year ago, it's amazing go for it! Even my trainer started when he was 15... It might be difficult to get into, but it's so worth it! :)
Me too I wanna start but I’m 20 and I live in Florida so I’m pretty sure there’s not any kung fu teachers around here

i have beginner students that start at your age and older!! never too late. go for it
I’m going to be completely honest, I’ve seen people who started when they were 15 and became national champions by 17, personally I’m only 15 but I have been practicing wushu since I was five but I can still understand the hesitation, go for it, you only live once😊

Its so cool you guys have this! Very jealous, my upbringing involved me being Asian looking surrounded by white people. We did have an Asian American restaurant which was the most culture I had haha! This looks like a ton of fun, congrats to you all!

Can you please do a tutorial on how to do the butterfly? I currently do wushu (Kung fu) and I suck at it! I’m behind everyone cuz I cant seem to jump right and my legs are always bent in the air.
You should try to stretch your back and do Superman’s, they will help you gain flexibility and strength. Flexibility is most likely the reason your legs are bending, but of course it helps to try and straighten them. Don’t rush to jump high, worry about the technique and quality first.

but like kung fu is the shoalin monk ones and wushu is like modern competitive sport. dunno
I’ve been to a kung fu competition, I got 1st place 3 gold medals! I even met a Chinese movie (a kung fu movie star) and he congratulated me for getting 1st place! This looks exactly like the one I went too lol.

I am an Asian and I knew that there's an American who went to the Wudang mountain in China to learn kung fu, so no matter who you are you can start doing it.

I don't do kung fu but I'm still a martial arts instructor and I really don't think you can ever really be too old to start, there are benefits to starting at a little older age actually because I've found students tend to remember techniques easier.
