Ok so a lot of people are wondering where the book is from, the one from this video is called Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego? I got it off of Amazon. There are other books about her too, but I haven’t bought them yet.

@@Isabel-yl1oe I believe this is an example of relationship development in which the characters see each other in a certain light, but their feelings change over time. It's a slow burn trope that I have seen in a few other medias before. Sometimes characters just don't know how to label their own feelings haha.
Gray's comments toward Carmen were obviously flirtatious and she didn't seem uncomfortable with it, plus the Chief said he was "smitten" by her. I don't believe that those lines were mean to tell us that they have a platonic relationship and nothing more. You can see things as you wish, of course. I'm just saying that sometimes things are written between the lines.
I wish this show had more of a fandom so they could share their interest in this ship with me.

You know, a really cool detail is what operas are being played which foreshadows a lot of whats gonna happen.
1) Carmen:- translating the lyrics we get
love is a rebellious bird
that no one can tame
And it is in vain that we call him
If it suits him to refuse
theres more but you you can search it up yourself, this foreshadows how carmen and gray's relationship is gonna go.
2) Swan lake:- In the play siegfried promises to love odette but ends up confessing to someone who only looks like her which ends up almost dooming them but rothbart ( the big bad) is ultimately defeated thougth both siegfried and odette die they're reunited in the afterlife, carmen want's to protect 'graham' who is ultimately just a VILE constructed persona because of which gray goes back and while carmen and gray separate VILE is defeated.
3) The thieving magpie:- The Thieving Magpie is about a maid that almost gets sent to the gallows for stealing silver, but it's discovered that the thief was actually a magpie that was storing its stolen items in a church tower VILE would be the magpie and ACME the one sending them to the gallows and carmen the maid.
4) The flying dutchman:- Based on the myth of the "flying dutchman" a ship cursed at sea, the captain who once found himself struggling to round the Cape of Good Hope during a ferocious storm. He swore that he would succeed even if he had to sail until Judgment Day. The Devil heard his oath, and took him up on it; the Dutchman was condemned to stay at sea until he found a wife willing to sacrifice herself for him this happens and both senta and the dutchman go to heaven so take that as another hint that carmen and gray do reunite, so carmen was brainwashed(cursed) by VILE and gray is senta and while gray doesn't die like senta by sacrificing himself he almost does.
Bonus:- If you pay attention to the lighting, gray is always illuminated by darkness and carmen by light so carmen is gray's 'light'.

No, the book is only about the pilot episodes, there are other books and graphic novels but the graphic novels show the show's episodes but the "secrets of the silver lion" is a original book and tell's players backstory.
