It's a really good thing that Jordan's powers took some time to properly develop in this case. During this time Jordan still didn't fully understand what a huge responsibility his powers were and even with this scene where his powers where significantly weaker, he was still strong enough to tear Sean to shreds if his dad hadn't stepped in. Although I can definitely understand the boy's anger at their dad for not respecting their privacy, Clark was definitely right to in this case since you could tell that Jordan was about to go off the deep end.

Jordan got his revenge in the best way, he used his strength in a football challenge After he owned the bully, the bully stopped being a dick as he knew Jordan could throw down harder than him
But ultimately Jordan didn't get to trash the school until late in season two when he was fighting Bizarro Jon and Lana. Then everything got magically fixed. So he wasn't the second Kent boy to get expelled.

C'mon Clark, sometimes you just gotta let your superpowered teenage son vaporize the quarterback's head with his heat vision and maybe, just maybe, continue on to burn down the entire school. It's not like this isn't a risk every single time you allow him out of your sight.
Watching this make me think back to my teenage years..at least for me as boy I did not see value in my dad's wisdom at that age. We think we can take on the world or sometimes don't realize our father's are only trying to prevent us from making bad choices that they might have made or seen the outcome of those choices. I feel blessed now to have had a good father that showed me his wisdom.
His boys don't understand yet that Clark has to actively NOT hear everything. In this instance, not listening in is deliberately ignoring, and no parent is going to sit idly by while when their kid is getting bullied.
Clark didn't save Jordan from the bully. He saved the bully from Jordan. He would have stayed out of it, despite every instinct as a father to step in, and allowed the boys to fight their own fights, as we all must learn to do, except he knew Jordan was about to set that kid's head on fire, with a look.
Clark - “Boy im yo daddy and if I were to change my disciplinary style I would literally send you into orbit. So how about you take a calming breath and thank me for ensuring you did not become homelander”
So cool dad . Protecting world while parenting twin teenagers takes lot of patience ane efforts .all parents are super human in one way or another .. just imagine having your boss calling you when your kids throwing tantrums and your wife or husband out of town
It is a weird byproduct of the Kent Farm still being depicted like a classic family farm from 30-40 years ago and the equipment was meant to be 20+ years older than that so everything ends up looking like Superman robbed a farm museum.
Imagine getting upset that superman is watching your back. Alright, next time get your ass beat for flirting with ol dudes girl. Superman is gonna be waiting with an ice pack for you because he'll still hear it.
Well done scene and well acted. Bully thinks Jordon is not fighting back because he thinks Jordon is scared, Jordon is actually trying not to one punch him to Mars. I forget which comic this is but it’s the one where Superman explains that he lives in a world made from cardboard. He has to walk and touch things as if they are egg shells. One wrong touch or motions and he will accidentally destroy the thing he touches. Eye opening.
I was so different than Jordan when I was young. If I had all these new powers and some bully tried to provoke me - I'd be grateful for my dad showing up out of the blue.
