Actually the rest of the pack isnt being brainwashed. Like Leon is brain washed in his second phase, but other than that the whole beast back (and whispy) where all acting under their own free will, just doing what Leon told them to, as Leon wanted to get back to the place that the humans left to, which is presumably popstar/dreamland.

The pack just wanted to reach the promised "land of dreams." I'm happy to see them on popstar at the end.

@@catalyst539 Yape has superb vocal tracks, lyrics, and art direction. The bad disco exercise is treated in the same way with the same love and care to make them perfect. Even with these in mind, Juno STILL Hasn't made a bad lyrical cover.

It's funny how different this and RecD's versions are thematically for what's the same song, and how both completely fit.
This version goes for a more grandiose interpretation of Dedede, fully absorbed as his role of King of the Beast Pack, and also paints a picture of Nature vs Technology and the remnants of mankind.
RecD's version takes more creative liberties with the setting and uses those liberties to paint something far less high-conceptual and far more personal grudge match between the two from the very start, which only expands as the fight goes on.

It's pretty interesting how with these lyrics, it both shows Dedede's brainwashed state of being loyal to the Beast Pack & praising their power, while also seeming to hint to how he was even adopted into the Beast Pack. With how he was desperate to find Kirby after arriving in the Forgotten Land according to his gacha figurine description, & how Fecto Forgo specifically saw an opportunity to take control of Dedede's vulnerable mind & release his inner strength. Truly, these lyrics for Roar of Dedede emphasize Dedede's strength in this battle, how he's so far gone compared to how he normally is thanks to the Beast Pack's influence, & how Dedede's wrath was brought upon being lost without his rival & under Fecto Forgo's control. _Especially_ with the Forgo Dedede battle later on...
Can anybody think of a single convievable reason why Dedede's voice in the games is that weird penguin grunt instead of this beautiful voice?
