Longevity isn’t an issue, in my experience, I got 4 years out of my Gen 1 and 2 Airpods.
Finally switched to the Gen 2 Airpods Pro and I’m astounded at how good they are!
CONGRATS ON 500K SUBS, you have really earned it, meanwhile can’t wait to lay my hands on the new AirPods Pro, i love all of the convenience the case brings and IMO it’s the best new thing about the new AirPods, the H2 chip comes second…
They are truly amazing, I got a pair then immediately ordered an engraved pair for my wife (she just had the second gen regular). She was blow away at the difference in sound quality and the new noise reduction is the best I have heard. Grats on Wrath! Leveled a DK to get the mount but don't have time for 2 so waiting on DF in Nov.
please help me with this issue that whenever i pickup my AirPods case it starts blinking green and beeps about 5-6 times. Is this normal? Other than that they are working perfectly fine.
Jabra 75 was my go to earbuds and the bass was good on that thing. I’d consider airpod 2’s to be comparable and the NC is astounding. It mutes people out, transparency feature is good, I’ve made a few calls and my friends say the mic is great. If you have the cash or haven’t upgraded in a while I’d definitely say airpod 2’s are worth the upgrade. I wouldn’t consider the older gens
I JUST had my Airpod Pro's replaced due to a mic going out after about a year of use. So, my AirPod Pro's are brand new and I wasn't planning on upgrading. BUT these are so good, that really I can't afford not to buy them. The better noise cancelling, actually having them stay in my ear, transparency that sounds natural rather than like a bad hearing aid.. it's worth it.
These are legitimately better than the gen 2, I haven't said that about many apple products so far this year, but these are easily the biggest jump across generations.
@@TheEverydayDad I'm super excited now, thank you!
Not to sound negative and I’m a very huge fan of my original air pod pros as I use them literally every single day, I finally picked up the second gen last night after all this hype, honestly, I don’t regret it no BUT I still don’t find the jump was as crazy as everyone makes it sound to be, honestly the first gen have good bass in my opinion and the transparency feels like they aren’t in my ears, no clue why people say they sound odd because the first gen have amazing transparency and the noise cancellation between the 2 I’ve been testing each nonstop since I got them and can barely tell the difference they seem to cancel the same, the second maybe slightly better but not by much at all, transparency sounds pretty much the same, the sound quality is a bit better but not an insane amount like everyone seems to make it sound like, well compared to the first gen anyways which I still find the first gen epic, at lower volumes tho, yes the new ones have a smoother bass and better audio quality but it isn’t off by much, regardless I’m not trying to be negative since I love love the first gen and now a big bonus is bigger battery but overall the hype for them I find is a bit too much considering they’re still very close and the first sound amazing still.
In other words I guess what I’m saying is personally if you have first gen, I don’t think the upgrade is worth it for that price, but BUT if you don’t have gen 1 or even air pods them omg yes a thousand time I recommend them, they work amazing and sound amazing and for the same price now as the first gen u can’t go wrong going for gen 2 but if u already have the first then that’s where my issue remains that it’s too expensive for the little bonus u get, overall my wife is getting my gen 1 as she wanted them and I’ve kept them clean so they look brand new so it’s a win for me and I’m happy with the new ones, I’m almost more happy she’s getting a pair than I am of getting my new ones. I did send my gen 1 2 months ago for repair due to static and it was covered, unless they accidentally sent me gen 2 ear buds as replacement lol although the grill on the top isn’t there so doubt it but yeah they still sound very similar to each other. Only other thing I’m thinking would be if the reason to me that it’s not as epic sounding would be because I’m using iPhone 11 and don’t think it supports Bluetooth 5.3 not sure if this would make a major change in audio quality either but yeah. Anyways great video and I do like them, just wanted to share my opinion :)
@@70axels70 I respect any opinion you have but for me, whenever I say "it's too expensive", I always ask myself "can I work smarter or harder to have what I want". So far, 100% of the time, the answer is yes.
Your description for spatial audio is very accurate, every single time I put on my airpods to watch something on my mac I have to double check the connection of my airpods because the spatial audio is so good I feel like the sound is coming from the mac! It fools me every single time!
Same, but I don’t use it a lot of time because of that 😂
Went all in this year on the apple ecosystem, got me some air pods pro 2, and air pods max (after waiting for sale!) and I love them, never giving them up ever
Totally worth it ! Picked up one recently and I really love it , not much of a sound upgrade from the gen 1s , If you’re buying AirPods for the first time , these are the ones to go for.
def waiting for holiday sales. also congrats on 500K subs!
I’ve had mine for a couple of days and they are superb.
I’m going to hand my gen 1 off to a family member. The new ones have tighter and deeper bass, much better sound isolation and have excellent noise cancelling mics. Having used my gen 1 from their first release date. They have proven their worth many times over on trains, buses and planes. These are even better.
On classical music the gen 2 are brilliant. I think that the bass and separation is better than the Sony XM5s. The Sony’s bass is overblown and really flabby as if specially boosted for pop music and makes them sound treble light due to the artificial balance.
Apple’s sound separation is in a different league.
Pro gen 2 are expensive but will last me for a few years more. Outstanding.
I love ur videos,,,,, i bought the m1 watching ur video, got the 13 pro max after watching video,, nw got the airpods pro 2 after watching ur reveiw.
I believe in u and ur so honest in ur reviews
Love u bro
Sound has improved and NC now cuts out my wife’s snoring…. I love them 😊
Among so many reviews of AP2, the Everyday Dad is the one I was waiting for. So finally!!!!
Well thanks so much!
I am not really into TWS earbuds but I heard many good things about these and I needed ANC and portability for school. These are great, they are very comfortable (they don't get loose when running) and sound very pleasant. the ANC makes sure I can listen at low volumes (protect your ears lol), battery Is great and they are very small. they work so seamlessly with apple devices and spatial audio is a cool feature.
Congrats on 500K subs!!!!
I have the 2nd generation and Ive had them a year and i loved them. I was blown away by them when I first got them with how comfortable they were. Usually earphones hurt my ears and fall out. These didnt and I would forget they were in becuase they were so comfortable. I decided to order these new ones. I've never experiences noise canceling or transparency mode so upgrading from the 2nd generation is exciting. i didnt love the price tag but my other ones have lasted and are seriously good. Everyone I know laughhs that I still use the 2nd generation when they've released these. I wish they came in rose gold or space gray or just colors to match their other tech products but i'm so excited for my box to arrive from Apple with these new babies! GREAT REVIEW
Congrats for 500k subs !!!
I’m fortunate enough that my gen 1 been perfectly fine since I got them in 2020! But just bought the new ones just to test it out and see if it’s really worth upgrading. And those features like tracking it when lost is REALLY helpful for people like me 🤣🤣
Thats a good point and something I should have mentioned.
You can track air pod pro 1st gen so that’s nothing new.
@@Aphrodite01 not the case
FACTS OMG you SAID IT!! The air pods pro 2 are like air pods max lites!!! I don’t even miss the maxes when I wear my air pods pro 2! Insane audio quality, noise cancellation and transparency mode are all SUPER impressive!
I’ve had my pros for over a year. I’m definitely getting the new ones this Friday!! I use mines everyday to work and gym
@selin tezcan I don’t think so. It’s just like a software thing. I don’t think The gears are tuning in the airpod itself
I accidentally order the pro’s last month, and returned them and got the pro 2’s, and wow not only is the sound wayyy better, but these are more comfortable and stay in my ear wayyy better.
Thanks Gary. I always appreciate your thoughts on these products. I need to buy these.
Well thanks! I hope you enjoy them if you get them!
did u buy them how are they
I have now the AirPods Pro 2 and I am impressed! They are awesome
I think they’re fantastic, but so far I haven’t been able to confirm the 30 hours of listening time via the case. I’d expect that to mean that I’d have to charge it about once every five days or so, but the case seems to be losing its charge much much quicker than that.
Anyone else?
While it’s tempting hearing all about the bump in sound quality and ANC and active transparency mode ect…but I’ve only had my Gen One AirPods Pro for just under a year, luckily i atleast adopted them during the mid cycle refresh and got the magsafe charging and a nice Black Friday discount but I’m still very happy with them and not enough for me to want to spend north of 200 dollars again lol… maybe next year or something but for now still love my gen one’s…the biggest plus for me i think for the gen 2’s is the speaker on the case.
No real need to upgrade if you’re currently having a great experience with gen 1. I got my gen 2s last week and I am constantly going back and forth on returning them because they aren’t as significant upgrade as some people are making them out to me. Don’t get me wrong - they’re an upgrade - but not enough for me to insist that people give them a try.
I love your shirt! I am coming from the AirPods 2nd generation. Mine broke back in June of this year. The right one stopped working for no reason and I had them for almost 3 years. In August I bought the wired Apple headphones with the lighting plug in for $20 at Target. My fiancé wanted me to wait for new AirPods to come out in the fall. And so glad I waited. I got the new AirPods Pro 2nd generation for $199.99 after taxes I paid $216 at Best Buy for them brand new. I got a case for mine from Five Below. I love them so much already. I don’t really understand how the spatial audio works I tried to set it up and it didn’t work for me. I also don’t understand how the noise cancellation works yet either. My other AirPods didn’t have that feature. I did the fit test and said I didn’t have a good seal with the size medium tips on. But have not had time to change them. My ear holes are pretty big cause I wear hearing aids as well. My fiancé was surprised I got the tip seal error when wear the medium ones. I might size down to see if it’s a better fit first before sizing up to the large.
These are for all the people who could never wear any of the older air pods I love mine I wear them with the x small buds and the noise cancellation is fire and did I mention they stay in me ears yesssssssssss finally go get you some you won't regret it.
I have a few different kinds og pro, max’s, Jbl flex pro flow and Beats Pro fit. These new ones sound great. The volume control is a real nice touch.
Watching this video using my AirPods Pro second gen. The noise cancelling and having the built in AirTag are for sure my top reasons for upgrading.
So good right?
@@TheEverydayDad So much better than I expected. I am definitely glad I made the purchase!
How’s the battery and sound quality
I just got the AirPods Pro 2s and I love them. They are so amazing.
What happened to your Pro after the 2 years? Battery or broke them down? Great video btw! Thx!
Hey saw your accessories video for iPhone 14 pro max it was simply great. I am switching from iPhone 6 to Iphone 14 pro max and I have seen that it can charge up to 27 watts so do you recommend to get a 30watt adapter from apple or do I go with 20watt only? Also is it worth upgrading to iPhone 14 pro max or do I wait another year for iPhone 15?
Their amazing! Only issue I have is case dies too fast & one earbud drains quicker then the other, but only by 2%. It used to die at the same time at first I got them for Christmas
I love my Apple Air Pro's. Have had them almost one year and they work great with no issues. No plans to upgrade anytime soon😀😀😀
Easily the best headphones I've ever owned....well until the gen 2.
Spatial audio is freaky good. I sometimes have to remove an AirPod cuz I think the sound is coming out of my HomePods. Or I THINK SOMEONE IS IN MY HOUSE but it’s sound from the movie which sounds like it’s coming from different directions.
Its really weird when it works sometimes.
It does not seem the size and shape has changed between the first gen and these but for some reason gen one simply would not fit in my ears, emphasis on would not. I bought these assuming I’d have to return them but they fit amazing. So if you didn’t have luck with gen one, try these. Return them if they don’t fit.
I have the AirPods 3rd gen and I love them but I can’t wait to get these!
I didn’t think the original AirPods Pros were worth it but these seem like everything you could want in earbuds
I have the 3s and pro 2s now. Love them both!
Can get these on Amazon for $200 as of 2/7/23. Picked mine up after sending the Bose QC back. Life changing is all I can say.
Damn! I literally got it today💪🏻💪🏻
Listening on my airpod pro 2nd gen!
9:10 you could’ve given them a clean bro 😂😂
You can also get them $10 off on Costco and AppleCare+ for $22.99 as well
Already bought the Airpods Pro 2nd gen a week ago and love it, but still watching this video. idk why.
Same but I felt the need to make a video.
Yes! You should! They are brilliant! I was blown away how amazing these earbuds are.
They are so good!
Could you use them while using power tools and would it stop the loud noise if I had these on like ear defenders as such ?
Hi handsome 😌 thank you for another great video
Just ordered and I a can't freakin wait 😬😬😬😬... 😃
Nice! Hope you enjoy them!
Can you do an updated review paired with an Android phone? Latency issues, etc :) thanks man!
I use these for cycling outside and wind noise is much worse on the second generation. There must be a new vent that allows in wind noise. ANC doesn’t help either. The 1st generation work much better outside in the wind.
Proudly talking about eye bags for gaming too long. What a generation
You should not use NC when running. Only for places like the gym if it’s too noisy.
Congrats on 500k!🎉🎉
Hey TEDD. Have you had any trouble using your AirPods Pro 2 with a Windows 11 PC?
I can't seem to get them to work properly. They pair with the PC just fine (apparently), but when trying to listen to any video, spotify, zoom call, etc... they do not work (except for a few seconds of choppy sound). Any ideas on how to troubleshoot it?
Do you like them better then the beats fit pro?
Couldn't agree more. The 1st gen product was unreliable for me and, with sound quality I found tiring, fell into disuse. The Sony WF...XM4's I've been using recently are fine in the sound quality department, but noise cancelling wasn't good enough: on London's noisy underground they didn't pass the torture test at all. Airpods Pro Gen 2 do, with flying colours. And the transparency mode is superb. Well done Apple!
I'm legitimately shocked at how much I've liked the gen 2's and the noise cancelation is crazy good.
My mum got her first ever new iPhone 14 on the 16th Friday of September and she loves it and I wanted to upgrade my iPhone to iPhone 14 but I have to wait until the iPhone 16 comes out so I can get the iPhone 14 or iPhone 15 currently using a iPhone 12 mini and I love it and I will miss the mini iPhone 🫠😱😱love how funny you are keep making us laugh ok everyday dad
I’m kind of sad you didn’t clean the tip before getting the B roll
Like your shirt 👌
I use samsung buds pro on iphone 13 haha was android user. Also had a pair of jabra elite 65t if im not wrong they are awesome and affordable and definitely can compete
Love the review Gary, right on point as usual, got my second gen last Thursday and could not be more pleased with them, almost everything has been updated in them (inside the AirPods)
As I am partially deaf in both ears (Age) I did not think I would notice anything different from my First Gen AirPods, BOY was I wrong, Noise Cancelling is fantastic (made Lawn Mower sound like a whipper snipper, and other sounds (Birds - Dogs etc)nothin. Sound is brilliant for such a small earbud (crisp - clear - right amount of bass ) and I'm not even an audiophile, like you just an ordinary bloke doing ordinary things. But in summing up Wonderful set of earbuds - Expensive Yes (I live in Australia - $399.00) but you know what have no regrets at all.
Once again Gary great review keep up the good work.
I too don't like my head squeezed! My AirPods Max's I can only wear for about 20 minutes at a time ... and that's after stretching them out!
congrats on 500k
I had never got an pair of AirPods but I just bought the new AirPods 2 and l love them . Apple please keep up the job 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
My wallet exactly vibrates when I red The Everyday Dad put "You shoud buy this" With exclamation mark on thr caption
I never had a set of AirPods that didn't fall out of my ears. I think I just have very tiny ears, lol. But now I want these! What do, what do.
Normally I'm not a fan of headphone or earbuds even though I have both for working in music. These days I find I need to use headphones/earbuds more. My old Apple Airpods seemed okay but I decided to go for it and see what these new AirPods Pro 2 would be like and simply put they are amazing. The Adaptive Transparency is the feature that really interesting me, but the sound quality and Active Transparency blew me away. Everything has a negative and for me the Adaptive Transparency doesn't seem to work that well hopefully Apple can make an update to improve it. Second their it too much bass that muddies up music that is bass heavy to start with. So yes they are pricy, but the sound quality and Active Transparency are great. I am using headphones and my new AirPods more and enjoying them.
Try turning headphone accommodations on for media, on slight balanced setting, and see if you like that better.
Many say Sennheiser TWS momentum 3 is far better compared to AirPods Pro 2?? What’s ur take on this?
Am planning to study video editing. And my budget is 1300$. And with that money I can buy macbook air m2 8gb ram and 256gb storage. Should I buy this macbook or is there any better option from windows or mac
1:13 I can already see the debris haha
won't the latency be bad for gaming vs wired headphones?
I bought the AirPods Pro 2 when it came out I have to say it’s worth my money 😄 came from 1st gen AirPods Pro
I'm very surprised how much better than are than the original.
how's the comfort of these buds for 3 hrs?
guys ,replace the azla Max airpod ear tips will give you a upgrade to the sound also
I hated my AirPods Pro gen 1 and regretted getting rid of my regular Air Pods gen 2. Glad I was able to buy the regular Air Pods gen 2 on sale this week. All in all buy what you want don’t listen to the hype.
Do you prefer the gen 2 over pros(gen1)? If yes May I know why. I’m planning to get a pair of new AirPods. This is going to be my very first pair tbh. Still not sure if I should pick gen2/3/pros gen1 and 2.
...tell me about the emf on ear/airpods dad...thnx !
Yoo, when we gonna get more windows laptop content
I don't mind the bad battery life on the pro 1s because I won't listen to music for 4 hours straight. What I do mind is how bad the noise cancellation is. I'm in a room with the ac blowing constantly and I can still hear it. I'm gonna buy a pear of the pro 2s to see if they're really that good. I've also lost my case 4 times in the past years and had to buy new ones. Hope to see the find my feature for the pro 2s.
I have a noisy ac unit above me in my office as well. When I’m not playing any audio in them, it sounds like a quiet whisper. I don’t even notice it when I’m playing audio even as low as half volume.
Will the case charge original pros
Let’s go guy, early gang
I tried to avoid AirPods Pro 2s at all costs. I haven't had AirPods since the first gen. I legitimately hate how they look and I didn't want to show that image. I'm very picky about sound quality and I went with WF-1000XM4 and the custom EQ settings made it great for getting my preferred sound which would have been great if they wouldn't quit working or have other odd sound artifacts which are definitely quality control issues. I finally gave up and got the APP2s. The sound is very good, not quite XM4 level, but it's a lot closer than I thought and I was apprehensive about not having an easy way to EQ and have it stick across the board like the Sony's do with their app. Sound cancelling is almost there. I think foam tips would make it match as far as cancelling but I found the Sony foam tips to be a bit fiddly, because if they did not expand properly in my ear it wouldn't fully seal, but when it did it isolated better than the AirPods. What finally got me to do it was the way my Beats interact with my iPhone, but the Studio Buds battery life is not great at 3.5 hours in normal use for me and the APP2 was my best answer for that. I like that the case wirelessly charges and there aren't any Beats that do that.
I can never pass the ear tip test on my Pros. Wonder if these gen 2 will be better?
Are these loud? My last pros aren’t loud at all
Did they fix the case? The lid on the original pros opens too easy and AirPods pop out easily.
the only reason i would say that would be a legitimate reason to upgrade would be the battery degrade from previous gen 1 pros.
the sound quality is really good, like real good. I get the feeling that people just hate cuz apple is fun to hate, especially if your some sort of fanboy.
9:10 yup, he doesn't even clean em up for a close up
If I carry my MacBook, AirPods, Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad I still have to carry at least 3 different cables.. if 1 of those isn’t usb c it really would really matter to “ME”. I’m trying to understand the argument that so many people make for having everything usb c. Anyway, that’s just me… I love my AirPods Pro!! 😊
My only negative for this product is the lighting port. It’s 2022.
Mine finally started crackling in one ear (sounds like a loose part in one of them) after two years. Just got the 2nd gen in the mail today… good timing I guess..
Yeah those gen 1's lasted longer than I thought a small headphone would.
I could never get the airpods pro to fit properly without falling out if I moved around too much, why would I buy the airpods 2?
I can attest to the durability of airpods pro. I always use it during workouts and one time, I left it inside the pocket of my shorts where it was washed in the washing machine. But after two years, the earbuds are still completely fine. 🤣
They are shockingly durable.
For some reason when I use them with RUclips on my phone, RUclips acts all weird and freezes and stuff
Even the xs size is bigger than my cable earphones so after just a couple hours it starts to hurt
My favourite RUclipsR
My AirPod pro 2’s always freeze when I watch youtube videos with them in my ear, has anyone else been experiencing that?
bro my cousins dog chewed my airpod pro gen 1 and there are fucked up but everything still works except I can only use one airpod to turn on noise cancellation and pause my music, but I got the gen 2’s coming in tuesday
Can you tell me why there isn’t a setting that makes the noise cancellation turn to transparency mode and vise versa when you pause/unpause it?
True ! It would be very nice to have a feature like that.
Long pressing the stem switches from transparency to ANC and vice versa. You can customise this in settings.
I'm pretty sure now you are not lying about wiping or cleaning your airpods at 9:16 is that ear wax? 🤣
i bought the airpod pro first gen 2 months ago. Should i wait for pro 3s or get the pro 2s?
The pro 3s aren't coming out for at least another 2 years. I say you should wait, unless you can sell your current pros.
Getting hit isn’t as bad as it sounds. I’ve been hit six times by cars / vans while on my mobility scooter. Once was head-on by a Kia Sedona at 35 mph.
